@MrChippydj What do you mean by firing test? I included the 25yd target in the review, I can only presume you mean you would have like to have seen it chrono'd. From memory I think the report I got with the gun showed it was averaging 0.92j.
I'm finished my junior cert on Monday and I'm getting a gun then, I was thinking of this one in the full kit version. Is there any other one you would suggest for me? (Back garden shooting + the odd skirmish)
Would there be anyway to get the body and or stock for extra if the body or stock are broken, i need a new stock for my streyr and i cant find a new one just by itself, is there anywhere i can get it just for parts? I dont want to pay for a whole nother rifle, just for the stock.
@Hynes1404 It was a cold alright. TBH I won't get excited about any sniper (unless it happens to be a Barrett M82/Cheytac Intervention/DSR/TM L96) but I still have to be objective in the review. Unlike AEGs, you can effectively review a sniper just by shooting at a target provided it's a reasonable distance away, you don't actually need to skirmish with them because that brings other variables into play - the site, the game scenario, how good (or bad) you are at being sneaky, etc.

I don't know if the barrel can be swapped for a vsr one. I put an m130 spring in mine, new hop up rubber and hop up bar. I also wrapped it in camo tape as a cheap and non-permanent alternative to spraying it. With those upgrades it will shoot 440fps and will be very accurate with any weight 0.3g or up. If you put in a spring shooting more than 450fps you'll probably need reinforced sears and a metal spring guide.
Sniping in ireland is pointless because of the 1 joule/328fs limit i hope to god they stop the limit an example would be back in december when New Zealand stoped its full auto ban

I have a real steel ssg, and the feel of the stock is cheep and unlike any other stock, but it works, works dam well
