I just finished watching, I was going to say the same, I love your humble spirit, Iam starting Access to nursing course this semptember hopefully I will be ready when my university time comes thank you very much 🙏🙏
Hi 👋🏻 Thank you for all your videos..I’m starting my nursing next month (eeeekk!!) and your advice has been great so far. I know it’s not of great importance but could you do something on how you wear your hair on shift and if you wear any makeup, what you wear? The impression I get from friends who are HCAs and nurses is that their appearance is fairly important as to how professional they look...thank you again ☺️
Victoria Hare aww that makes my day, thank you so much! That’s a really good idea, I’ll definitely make a video on that, never even thought of it. Keep an eye out cause it will be soon!! Xx
I start my first year of adult nursing in September and this video has been a massive help, trying to prepare myself for this is a lot more difficult than I initially expected. Thank you so much!
Hi Claire! This tips are really useful for those who want to become a nurse! I will have finished nursing by June, and I feel excited and pleasant! Thanks ❤
another video i just watched, as iv suddenly realized nursing might actually be my future career, as ill be applying to universities soon, helped a lot Claire, thank you so much!!!!! your tips are very motivating and come from a very realistic view, overall your videos are highly inspirational, many thanks!!!!!!!!!
I argued with my mentor coz she doesn’t trust me. I’m on my third year and all she wants me to do is provide personal care to patients. I offered to do admission and discharge as she was complaining of her work load but instead of giving me the opportunity to learn, she assigned me to 1:1 care. I resigned from my HCA job so I can focus on my final placement only to do the same thing? I don’t feel supported but I’m not sure if asking the manager to change my mentor will tarnish her record?
Hey, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, maybe you already answered this somewhere but... how exactly do the nursing programs in the UK work?? (meaning all the way from the ground up like from high school to "fully licensed working on the floor nurse") ... ? Being in the USA I have a general idea how ours works of course, but I'm curious how it works in the UK. :-)
Hi! I'm a first year student nurse and the way the education system in the UK is like this: Primary School (Nursery-Year 6), Secondary School (Years 7-11), College (16-18 years old), University (19-21 years old) = qualify as a RN. Hope this helps :)
Hi my English is not fluent and it s an intermediate level.. i have been in Uk for 3 years and now I applied for nursing course... do you think I don t have to rush things.. just wait until my English get better or carry on.... please let me know I need a serious answer. English is it very important in the course ??
I have just started my degree in nursing and was In the same situation. As nursing is classed as an exception course you’ll be eligible for the full package from student finance to do it as a second degree. I had no previous experience. Hope this helps ☺️
Hey..i m an indian student and i want to study in uk I have a great passion to be a nurse but now i am bit confused about the courses between biomedical sciences and nursing..... can you tell me that what according to you can provide me a good placement and career???
I'm not really sure about the difference between biomedical science and nursing. I think nursing is a lot more practical and Biomed has fewer placements I believe, sorry I can't help you more!
First one I totally agree with having been in a situation with a mentor who discriminated against me due to my age and the fact I have anxiety and ADHD. I ended up bringing it up to the university staff and they did not care, but it was very obviously an issue and was unfair treatment, I just had to bare through it. I was still 100% respectful and open to my mentor about it so we still worked well together, and never argued despite her saying some very impolite and unprofessional things to me. Great video :)
I think you'd be great at teaching nursing or being a source of support for students :) x
Aww thank you, thats lovely to hear! One day I would love to teach other student nurses xx
@@clairequinn2428 good luck with everything xxx

Thnx to reply 😊
Biomedical sounds more research and as Claire said, Nursing is more practical. Nurses learn a lot of science and especially in the job..
Biomedical is more theory based and in university lab .The no compulsory placements as nursing
Uff YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS 💕✨
Loved this
thank you xx
👍
