Lol I did this on my 30 dollar kogan keyboard because the stabs were unbearably rattly, using my numpad 0 key and it went from a rattly mess to one of the thockiest keys ever, and I've yet to add foam beneath yet.

Please buy a keycap puller. They aren't that expensive - around $5 for one.
