I just watched one of those " How its made" video's.. This is actually a remarkable piece of machinery, I've never played this game, but this is beautifully made and looks challenging.. The designers are in a class of their own.. Much respect..!
I played with a guy who had an automatic Japanese mahjong table in his home. I agree with the comments from the ladies in the video: I missed the time spent shuffling tiles and building walls in between matches. But if you were playing competitively or for serious money I'm sure the speed of the automatic table would be nice.
It was in the video. The conveyor that picks them up is magnetic and the magnets are in the face of the tiles so they can't get picked up by the back. Then there is that little piece on the spinning carousel that flips them over. So you have them getting flipped and then the ones that are face up get stuck to the magnet and they can just keep going around till they all get flipped the right way and grabbed.
I bought one of these tables for my wife however it came with a set of Chinese tiles and my wife plays with American tiles. Do you know if it is possible to buy a set of American tiles either 38mm or 40mm size and can this table adapt to shuffle and use them.
I believe the table has several modes for different number of tiles. So that's the first thing you'll have to check and change on the machine. The next part is to get the same sized tiles as the mechanics inside is calibrated to a specific tile size.
Thanks for sharing. Im buying one of this today but it is a second hand. Hopefully its in good condition. I will still have to learn how to operate it. Regarding the tiles, can i use different tiles i want or this table requires its own tiles? If i lose one tile, what can kind of tile should i buy?
The tables are calibrated to take a certain sized tiles. So if you lose one, you have to source for a new tile that is exactly the right size. If not you will have to buy a whole new set.
I bought from Tong & Da and I think I had a chip stuck in the table while playing. I opened the table and was not able to find anything. Do you know if they have repair service?
Yes we do! In fact we have video call assistance for our customers that may help you to resolve the issue remotely. Do reach out to us from your purchase platform and we will help you accordingly. Thank you! - Tong
I have table I play also have problem with it now one tile is always left inside and total shows 143 tile and one tile goes round and round until I take out from inside and fix it what to do please suggest 🙏
Push both shuffle buttons at the same time, and drop the one piece of tile in there. Pushing both of the shuffle button will make the center console to raise up during shuffling.
You open it and put the first set in. And it shuffles and distributes. Then after you open it again and put the 2nd set. While it distributes the 1st set. And the thingy closes. It will shuffle and distribute and set under the table till you're ready for em

This feels like something aimed more at public venues than at home use. Either way, its a well engineered piece of kit!
Yes, in fact alot of community centers have them for the older folks to play.

Have you noticed that everytime a new set comes up, the players re orient the four files to form the tiles to be non parallel to the edge ?
This is done so the players can get the tiles easier because it is closer to the middle
@@arces4426 then the machine that feeds out the tiles in diagonal is much better
@@natloplig the roller coaster one that your talking about?
I dont even play mahjong but this is pretty cool tech hahaha
Haha same here!
What I was hoping to see is how the table knows top of tiles from bottom and orients them accordingly before stacking and pushing them out.
Magnets. Either steel bar in a tile and magnet in the loading mechanism. You can check some patents for more details.

How to trouble shoot if all the tiles dont come out? Maybe some obstructions? How can we repait it? Thnx
Repairing it is always at your own risk, however if you are going to do so, just ensure the power is disconnected :)
Do you know how to fix the dice its not working when yoj pushed the dice button
Please contact the manufacturer, I am not a technician or a helpline :)
Amazon maybe?
hello, do u know any SG service that helps to troubleshoot auto mahjong table?

Do I need to use an adapter for the plug? I am in the states.
Can I just use the magnetic tiles without having the automatic table?
do the tiles stand up because they're magnetic while playing?
No, they stand up just like any mahjong tiles :) the magnet is only used for the sorting process underneath :)
Wow the Mahjong tables from Saki are real, cool to know :D
So it uses magnets to grab the tiles?.. are all mahjong sets magnetic?
No, only sets designed for mahjong table use are magnetic.
how do you fix the system if a tile is left out when shuffling?
Push both shuffle buttons at the same time, and drop the one piece of tile in there. Pushing both of the shuffle button will make the center console to raise up during shuffling.

That's the crappy design. The better ones come out diagonally. We have a few at home.
May I ask what company's design is the better one, in your opinion?
