I also get £250/50ps and £500/£2s bags from my bank and yes I have noticed that the number of commemorative coins is reducing over time. It's logical that this happens; as coins are removed from circulation the number available to collectors is diminished and unless there is a change of heart by the Mint about putting more coins into the public realm, pretty soon there'll be nothing left to find.

£100 from Llyods today 1Mary rose was the stand out.
Can people let me know if they have any sealed bags of the Salmon 50p what date they got hold of them and from where. Trying to find out how narrow the circulation date was.

Navy Centenary is my favourite I have 7 at the moment, would love to say 15 but I will just have to wait for that to happen.

Can you do a tour of the royal mint showing how a coin is made or is it just strike your owns and the shop you are allowed in

You can't film the tour or else people wouldn't bother going on it. I have been and you don't get to see an actual coin being made, you see the room with the machines etc. you get a talk about how they are made etc with examples of the machines. Id say it's not worth traveling that far if that is your only intention. We went down from Manchester for the weekend to do the tour and go into Cardiff etc. if I went just for the tour then home id be disappointed

I think the mint should put 250 000 thousand of commemorative coins into circulation of each new coin be more fun at collecting as its just so boring to collect now as there is nothing to fined now

I found a Magna Carta £2 pound coin with a slight rotation error in my change, I Added it to the end of my last gardening video on TH-cam along with one or two Anglo Saxon coins that i bough last week...

Hi. I have been watching your coin hunts for a while now - you got me started collecting!
However......you look through hundreds of £s worth of coins each time and rarely find huge numbers of any of the commemorative coins. I get a small amount of change and very rarely have commemorative coins. PLEASE STOP saying lots of the coins are COMMON. They are not common at all to me!
