Hi Christopher, I think you should keep the battered/hammered 50p in your oddities box. Also, I was in the takeaway earlier and a guy was messing with his change he received, he said it didn't sound right. He asked me for my opinion I asked if he had a 50p coin in there, he said yes and showed me his change, it was shield up and I said, if this is a 2019 they are known to be tinny / off sounding, it turned out to be a 2019 coin. I only knew from your videos and pointed this out to him 🤣🤣 thanks for your expertise 👍🏻👍🏻

i don't think so, the UK mainland has a much higher mintages than the territories, i've seen some hunts in gibraltar, guernsey, jersey and isle of man and they get quite a lot of ours in their bags..

the damage to that battered 50p looks like acid damage to me - someone's dunked it in a very strong acid for a few days ...... it doesn't look hammered to me
