When the Fat Controller gets another engine to help out with the busy workload, two arrive instead of one! And Gordon seems to find them a familiar sight.
Honestly, I'm not that happy with the pacing and sound mixing of this one. And I can totally see why Britt Allcroft cancellled the episode for Season 2. Most of it takes place in one location and that one location has the worst framerate on my Sodor route. This is probably my weakest adaption so far. Still happy to have finally completed it though so enjoy it.

I know I’m not the first to praise this, but man, that ending! It works so well! I LOVE how it brings the plot about the twins’ whistles back into the story. Not to mention, STH’s reaction is pure perfection! The raw emotion of him realizing Douglas stayed behind, and the anger he feels is hilarious! Genuinely can’t wait for ‘Spiteful Brakevan!’ Keep up the phenomenal work!

This was worth the wait. We have the set up of Donald being on Sodor in the previous video pay off. I like a number of smaller details in this. Such as parts of Donald's original number showing through the paint. Gordon puffing when he laughs and Topham pulling on Douglas's whistle chain further showing he's not easily fooled. Plus that shot Douglas's face at the end got a chuckle out of me.

That was an insanely clever use of the HiT educational screen thing with the coach, absolutely genius! This is written so well, and I love the minor changes and tweaks, and the conclusions from other plot points that just makes this all such a enjoyable experience! Can't wait to see how you tackle the Break Van story next!
This recreation of the story was just phenomenal, loved the ending idea when topham pulled the whistle cord to see which Scottish twin is, and that was absolutely clever.

I love the splitting of the Donald and Douglas stories into parts! I enjoyed the continuation of the argument Gordon Duck & Donald had over London's Stations & ending it with Donald admitting to something he likely found out on his own. Also Douglas' face at the end & the still image afterward is hilarious!
Of course, people forget the very first Sir Topham Hatt was an Apprentice at Swindon so the family knows all there is about mechanics...

Admittedly, I'm struggling to figure out why you consider this a weak adaptation. I'll concede the base stories themselves are incredibly lackluster, but it's people like you who change those stories for the better. Honestly, I've never been into videos for the visuals, if the writing is peak, then I'll keep coming back to the video, and this video's writing was beyond peak, the humour in particular. I can not tell you how many times I nearly fell off of my seat with laughter. While I've always been more drawn to subtle humour, if out-there humour is truly funny, I enjoy it, and this video was a perfect example of that. From Douglas being confused to what Donald and Duck are talking about, to Henry and Douglas' chat, Gordon's and Duck's faces when Donald reveals the "secret" to them, to Douglas' "Oh sh*t" face, this truly was a fun watch, and I certainly hope you found some sense of enjoyment when making this, even if it was just one aspect of it. Something else I want to call attention to is how this story builds upon previous ones, with Donald, Gordon, and Duck clearly still holding a rivalry with each other, but resolving it, in a brilliant way, and how Thomas and Gordon's alliance is still just as strong as it was in Gordon's arc. All in all, this was an outstanding watch, keep up the brilliant work, and I look forward to seeing where Spiteful Brakevan takes the twins.

Also your style in general is just very interesting with the way the engines have colored eyes like us. And overall I just love the way this feels in general. Love to see you still include instrumental leitmotifs from both *Kubo* and *Bocchi* here. Gives your videos a unique vibe. Love the route you took with Gordon and Duck's characters here, with them having a pre-established dynamic with Donald, and he revealing the truth about London's stations to the two of them.
Finally was able to sit down and watch this and this is an amazing adaptation! One of my favorite details is that you can see that the Twin's BR numbers are crudely painted over on their cab sides. Nice touch!
What an brilliant episode, the one that i consider the best was how you didnt forget the element you add from previous story, its called consistency in stories, where one element that shows in one ep can and must fully affecting another ep to the front, so we can feel the grow and connection between stories ❤❤❤❤ not like we have now in animation series

When I was little reading The Missing Coach I didn’t know what Gordon meant by “Tugboat Annie” where I thought he was mocking Thomas’ coach Annie and wondered why he’d be comparing her to a tugboat, only to find out years later it was a movie from 1933 lol.

My god that was incredible, the editing and voices were awesome, I though Topham was going to have caught the covered up number by the Whistle was a stroke of genius, plus the edit of Douglas' eyes going small was priceless.

This was brilliant. I loved how the expressions on the engines faces changed in a split second. The part with Donald speaking to Gordon about the stations in London was an unexpected surprise. I didn't think that was going to happen at all. The extra bits added to the story were a delight and I think it was a very well written adaptation. The trailer at the end was fab. I look forward to the next story :D.
