Pray before you bring anybody into your home. Recently we hired a lady to work for us. The day before she started work i felt in my spirit to pray. I prayed fervently and asked the holy spirit to help me make the right decision. I asked God to stop her from coming if she's going to cause problems for us. The day she was supposed to come she didn't come. I tried calling her, guess what! she had blocked my lines for no apparent reason. I used our security's number to call her, but she refused to answer. After few days i tried again when she eventually picked up she said she was waiting for her mum to come and assist her to take care of her kids etc, but i said to myself God blocked you from coming. There's power in prayer. Dont just bring people into your home. Pray first and ask the holy spirit to help you make the right decision.

I had a male house help and he was so argumentative and high maintenance. I ended up sacking him. I know have a female house help and quite frankly i dont know what I'd do without her. I've had her for about 3 yrs now.Shes very reliable, dependable and respectful.

Apart from the murder charges against him he's jailed 20 years for robbing an elderly woman who actually gave him an employment opportunity. Just 21 and so evil.

He deserves capital punishment. Recall he has committed a series of crimes and finally got employed by his victim. I wonder why the company that hired him failed to do a background check. I also wonder why he was not jailed after his previous crimes. He was allowed back into society, and now he did the worst, murder! This boy has no place in society.

What a tragedy. 💔 I am on the side of an eye for an eye. Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time until he committed a heinous crime. As you mentioned, the two worst character traits are laziness & greed. He was obviously down the path of destruction. To add, he didn’t show mercy when he took the woman’s life. I find it ironic that he is now begging for mercy. That is Africa, if they don’t treat it as an eye for eye situation, I believe it would give other perpetrators the guts to commit similar acts.

John is a twisted wreath of evil that must not be given the chance to hurt any other human ever again. He deserves the worst of punishments.
In jail forever his life time, not to be killed and not to be forgiven later in year. For all this criminal record, and the manner he executed the killing of this woman, he shows is callous, mean person. If the law shows mercy on him, it is liberty to commit more crime of greater consequence to the country.
How is a 22yo this greedy for heaven's sake! It's unfortunate how youths of nowadays have no boundaries. As it stands most youths of these days have blood on their hands. I fear for the coming generation. I have thought abt how our kids may end up marrying people who have blood on their hand and how their innocent families might suffer the consequences.
I honestly have no opinion here. Whatever the family chooses is fine by me except the law says otherwise. It is easy to say forgive when you are not a direct victim. They deserve a right to however they choose to deal with the boy. If they want the ultimate price, so be it. He should have thought abt his age before doing sth of this magnitude.

Neze, this story is almost the same as the story of the female house help who smashed her Madame's head open with a huge wine bottle in The NNPC, EJIGBO area of Lagos a few years ago. It was a horrific sight cos I witnessed it first hand. She also came from an agency. May God help us all

The company that sent John to that family should be severely dealt with. Companies who engage in helping people with domestic staff always do a thorough,criminal records are checked, finger prints are taken and several guarantors are always demanded for before sending them off. The company should be taken in for negligence.

Yes I agree the company needs to be sued, and I know I can’t create a life but this type of person doesn’t look like someone that is redeemable. He has committed several crimes and before someone carries an act he must have been thinking about it…. it wasn’t a mistake when he went to carry the knife and stab her severally because she wasn’t struggling with him.

First the agency should have thoroughly vetted the suspect. I totally agree that the agency should be liable for some sort of punitive action. Let the suspects rot in jail and get the heffiest of the heffiest sentence from the law! I doubt they are repentful most likely resentful that his freedom has been curtailed!
