We decided that we will skip the Science (other than animal studies) component of our combined BYL/TL year and add in Core Knowledge Science for our 6.5 year old who is super excited about Science and enjoys "schooly" things.
Just want to thank you about doing a comprehensive review on around the world spines. I watched all 3 videos TL, BYL and alternate spines. I didnt see one for Blossom and Root Science. Would love a review on that. :)
Can you please do a video on your library bag? Even if it is just a short 5 minutes? We get about about 40-60 books a week from the library and now with starting Around the world studies that has doubled! I need some options. Thank you so much!
I agree that the science book is more like a fun magic tricks book. The Evan-Moor books at least set the stage for what they’re going to be experimenting with. Regarding biographies, we also went with picture biographies. I own the 101 Women book, and I’m glad I do, but I just couldn’t bring myself to use that one. My kids would not engage with that book for sure. Can’t wait to see more videos!
Very informative thank you! this is helping me decode between pre-k and k. Thank you!

We'll have to check that out.

That's a really good idea. I'll add it to our upcoming video list. Thanks!
Love your honesty!
The atlas of adventures also comes in a travel edition! Same book half the size!
Ooooh. Wonder if it's half the price?!
My mom got me the She Persisted box set. I think that is much better for kindergarten or preschool age kids and beautiful illustrations.

Haha. I'm sure we can manage that! It's a sturdy corduroy bag that I love.

Yeah I think the 101 women book is a great jumping off point to learn more, but it's better for older learners. Kinder can't connect with it.
Do you seriously have a 250 book limit at the library?! I am allowed 20.... TWENTY!
That’s a crime!
