Got to ride this for the first time a few days ago. Amazing air time on the camel humps. No loops just amazing drops and air time! Wicked Cyclone was rated #1 by several TH-camrs but this was my #1. I had tears in my eyes. Maybe it was the water they sprayed in us during the ride but it sure felt like joy.
best roller coaster EVER. went a few days ago for the first time and i was waiting in line with my friends and i was TERRIFIED. but i had so much fun. the drop is the best part. the dropping in your stomach is awesome and i screamed my head off the entire ride. if you haven’t been on this ride, you HAVE to try it. best ride hands down. go on batman too. that ones super fun. i went on pretty much all the scary rides after that except for flashback, goliath, and harley quinn. i’m going to try those rides next time i go.
Tips for riding: RIDE BACK ROW!! RIDE IN THE EVENING OR NIGHT TIME! That is where Superman is at its prime. (I recommend doing a day and night ride, but a night ride is a lot better!) There are two seats in each row. If you are scared of heights, sit in the right side. This faces the park and the cat walk is right next to you. It will make you feel more enclosed than the left side. If you aren’t scared of heights, but nervous what’s going to happen to you, side left side. This faces the Connecticut river. (Which, from what I heard, usually calms people down.) If you are underweight/skinny, you’ll have no problem with the restraints. If you are overweight or muscular: You will have a problem with the restraints. Scooch forward (not too much or the ride operators will tell you to scooch back) cause the ride operators WILL staple you. If you scooch forward, you will have a great time. For people who are scared/intimated of the ride: don’t be. It’s very smooth, and you won’t be disappointed. I get that you are scared, I was scared too. Tbh being scared on a ride would lead to a better experience. Think of it as a, “Let’s get this over with,” moment. Superman: The Ride has two trains. One of them has a little rattle (I don’t remember which one, I think it’s the red train?) It’s most noticeable in the second part of the layout. When Superman enters its first and second helix, you might grey out. (Taller people are more likely to grey out than shorter people) The waiting time is usually 15 minutes-2 hours NEVER GO ON A HOLIDAY OR WEEKEND. If you see a group of students from a school (they are probably in a school trip), DONT EVER GET IN LINE WITH THEM. Go on another ride. Those types of people think they are above everyone else. Plus they are loud. Don’t ride when it’s pouring rain, don’t ride when it’s chilly and don’t ride if the operators say only one train is running. (This increases wait times by ALOT) Finally, don’t set your expectations too high. Remember, it’s not going to be the best coaster in the world. And the chain lift is slow lol. Put your hands up! Letting go of the restraints has to be one of the best feelings ever. 👌
Been to the park a number of times. Went on this for the first time a few weeks ago. I hadn't been to any amusement park in about 5 years and this was the first ride we did. It was fun as hell, but I was hyperventilating when we stopped cuz I went into a bit of shock.
Every year my school comes here on the last day and we’re always the first ones in the park. We sprint straight for the superman and just keep riding it. Best day, i cant wait for this year.

I'm terrified of heights and rides. When this first opened I went on it. My first rollercoaster ever. I started cursing my friends and gf out as we were going up for convincing me to get on it. As soon as it got over, I jumped back in line a as fast I could!
just rode this yesterday and the airtime is insane
Love that ride. It was my first full size coaster. It was so fun. I miss it.
9/10 cuz the lap bars SUCK. They almost crushed my thighs and gave me no room to enjoy the airtime. Other than that, pretty fun ride
The lap bars are only like that because Local law said that the old Lap bars were banned
@Natasha McHattan exactly
These are the rides I wish Six Flags would still add.
It wasn't until today that I discovered that you can see Connecticut from the top of the lift hill.
I was literally dying to go on this!!!! Did not disappoint!!!! I felt my stomach come up to my throat on that first drop 😂😂
I'd give it a 8.5. Would be a 9.5 or maybe even a 10 if it didn't have those God awful restraints.
Nathaniel Johnson those damn tbar nutcrackers
I’m warning you, don’t go on flashback
When the first drop happened I actually blacked out 😂 I have a phobia of heights so it was terrifying
Rode this yesterday for the first time and went on it two more times! So good
I went one this ride last Saturday.... Damn what an experience.
I’m telling u hands down best roller coasters I’ve ever been on
In six flags great America it isn't like this...they legit flip us vertically to fly like superman

I Finally Got On It For The First Time!! I Was Freaking Out For Nothing I Loved It The Dropped Is Not Even Scary!! I Ended Up Going 3 Times That Day
Tips for riding:
RIDE BACK ROW!! RIDE IN THE EVENING OR NIGHT TIME! That is where Superman is at its prime. (I recommend doing a day and night ride, but a night ride is a lot better!)
There are two seats in each row. If you are scared of heights, sit in the right side. This faces the park and the cat walk is right next to you. It will make you feel more enclosed than the left side. If you aren’t scared of heights, but nervous what’s going to happen to you, side left side. This faces the Connecticut river. (Which, from what I heard, usually calms people down.)
If you are underweight/skinny, you’ll have no problem with the restraints.
(Taller people are more likely to grey out than shorter people)
The waiting time is usually 15 minutes-2 hours NEVER GO ON A HOLIDAY OR WEEKEND.
(This increases wait times by ALOT)
Finally, don’t set your expectations too high. Remember, it’s not going to be the best coaster in the world. And the chain lift is slow lol. Put your hands up! Letting go of the restraints has to be one of the best feelings ever. 👌
Been on this coaster so many times. Love it.
If you put up hands u fell Luke your acutely flying
This looks fun. Reminds me of magnum xl @ cedar Point. If you love coasters, I’ve not been to a better park! Incredible!
i’m usually the one on the ride hollering “GO FASTER!!!” while you can hear other people going “omg, we’re going to die!!!”
Not me 😂
tahu Tahu meeee tho I always get off saying eh could have been scarier no matter the ride
the new one in nj is amazing!! it holds you facing downwards like super man and it’s so fun!!
It's been there since 2003
Been to the park a number of times.
Update: I am Jaja’s doctor, he is still alive please pick him up. He thinks he is Superman now and flew out the window.
Update: Nevermind he dead.
😂
The view from up there is gorgeous on the left and right you can see mountains and on left you see the connecticut river w

Just went yesterday and got a video for myself. Really great ride.
