Great view right? This is nothing. Wait on our Spain footage, (Barcelona & Madrid) coming soon. Taking this channel to new heights literally 🤌🏽🥃
😊
I used to live a couple blocks from that park. Bought a season pass for many years just so I could ride the coasters after work for stress relief. This one was always my fav.
I live four blocks from that, bought season meal plan, used it for 80 meals.
My fav is raging bull to and I love the air time and drops btw I believe it's called "ejecter airtime"?
Did ya? Did ya? Was it?x
Great life sounds like to me!!!🤘🏽💯
@@prasantht7660my daughter and I used to live near six flags magic mountain in California. We would buy this season pass and the meal pass. Sometimes we would go there just for the food 😂
Can confirm, that first drop in the back row is incredible.
Oh hell yeah, you get that feeling of weightlessness as you whip over the top! This is the best!
I agree 👍
Lmao the “woahhhhhhhh” (0:59) in your POVs gets me every time 😂
Nice POV as always :)
Back row on this baby is absolutely heavenly. Glad ya'll got a chance to make it to my home park to experience it🤙❤️
Back row?? Nah front row with it on every ride 😂
@@Terorise 🤣🤣
Something about the back row always gets me hyped 😂
*Never, always front row, was lucky enough to get on the front row yesterday on Red Force, it was insanely exhilarating, going on the Shambala and Dragon Khan tomorrow second time this week, can't wait*
@@kenoneill8783….? RB is horrible in the front row lmao
Quite impressive! You can practically see gravity just yanking the back of that train over those hills and through the elements.
Lol the dudes having a casual conversation in row 8 during the first drop
That first drop, when riding in the back, is awesome. Raging Bull in general is excellent.
It is absolutely not excellent in general LOL. Only the first drop
@@marcbasilwhy not? Does the first drop hurt your stomach?
@@Bmanrock2004 the first drop (but ONLY in the very back row) is one of the strongest sustained pops of ejector airtime on a steel roller coaster. After that first drop, the ride kind of sucks. It just meanders around without much direction, and it’s trimmed beyond belief.
@@marcbasil so it only hurts your stomach in the back row? Nowhere else?
@@Bmanrock2004 you’re referring to “airtime”. And yes, besides that first drop in the back, the ride kind of sucks & doesn’t offer much of anything.
The speed and gravity from the back row is absolutely INSANE!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I always liked the back row the best. Everyone always tries to get the front, but the back row is best in my opinion. As soon as you go over that first hill, you start flying! No waiting for the cars behind you.
@@SquidzitAcelol everyone knows that the only place on this hyper that is worth a p!ss is the very back.
@@marcbasili love the front too it’s just a different experience. less intense & more chill. i like to end my night with a front ride row. it’s really relaxing at night
Wow😊
@@jasonpetersen1127 yeah front ride has best view but the least scary because you drop from the hill a little lower. Back is for the real thrill seekers
Went to Great America a million times as a kid and teen living in Gurnee area and can remember lapping this ride 5-6 times in a day. Such an awesome ride.
I used to ride "Turn of the Century" and "Willards Whizzer" when it was "Marriot's Great America"! Time to go back... if my 61 year old heart can take it still take it!
I agree with you
I grew up in Milwaukee, and we never missed a season from 1975 I think.
I remember this being the first roller coaster I rode when I finally reached 54 inches tall! What a ride!! Now to think I’ve been on rollercoasters twice the height of this
Trimless, this is a close to perfect ride. That drop is immaculate as well.
All 3 trims hit very loudly
Perfect ride…? Even without those three horrendous trims, RB isn’t even close to being perfect. It was such a failure as a prototype, that they never constructed anything like it ever again; pretty sure it’s their *only* twister variant of their hyper model that has ever been made (maybe some Chinese ones have funky layouts). All of the ones that followed stuck to the trusty out-&-back layout. RB is short, and it has several sections where it meanders & does nothing
@@marcbasilcoaster enthusiasts like you when the twister coaster doesn’t have rmc level of airtime: 😡😡😡
@@piwonbetter pardon….? Not only does RB have atrocious airtime, it doesn’t even succeed as a twister due to the trims. There are no lats to be felt on the bowl section. The thing was a failure thru & thru
@@marcbasil then go at a time where the trims are off LMAO
Rode this when it first opened in summer of 1999 while visiting my uncle in Chicago. My cousin and I were in high school and we just walked the park all day hitting every big coaster we could find. This was awesome. Really liked the Iron Wolf and Shockwave. I think those are gone now. Bull was bad ass and pretty smooth. Good times👍
Raging bull still gets me hard after all these years.
Thank you for challenging "raging bull"
Enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags Great America.
This ride ages very well. Still super smooth. The drop is excellent, the restraints are super comfortable. Lots of capacity. Nearly perfect other then the trim breaks.
I love riding on the edge and hanging off the side
Wait what?? I hope you mean that they are over-enthusiastic!
I’m so glad to hear that!! I haven’t been since 2008 and am going in 2 weeks. I was worried that in the last 15 years it wouldn’t be as smooth anymore! 😅
There's a rollercoaster in Japan that's the opposite of super smooth. It's the largest rollercoaster in the world completely made of wood. Even the tracks are wood. When you go around each corner it feels like the whole car is going to bump out at any second. 😂
I used to be an avid rider and I have not had your experience in the last few seasons I went, lol.
You actually float and get pulled up on it! Best ride for air time at Six Flags! Took my son on it 9 y/o and we went on twice! Absolutely awesome!!
This is one of my favorite coasters, it’s #2 on my list. I’m glad to see you enjoyed it the same way I do!
What’s your #1? Just curious 😅
@@IntenseCity twisted cyclone
@@runier2352I love that one too! It was the first roller coaster I ever went on.
You may be the only person with this as your #1 lmao
Very unusual B&M hyper with all the spaghetti bowl elements, but that just makes me want to ride it more! Hopefully next year I can make it out this far.
It’s maybe the only hyper twister model, and it sucked so badly that they never made another (there might be some weird ones in China). They need those three colossal trims on there because it was tearing itself apart otherwise. Even trimless, the twister bowl elements are redundant & offer nothing
@@marcbasiltearing itself apart? What do you mean? How do you know this?
What a great ride. Probably the “funnest” roller coaster I’ve ever been on. Folks that like the floating / stomach drop feeling? There is a phenomenal “bang for the buck” here.
So smooth, super fast, amazing drops…. Just pure enjoyment. Wish they made more coasters like this!
I only road Goliath and I wanna know if the stomach feeling feels the same on raging bull or if it’s stronger on Goliaths. Which ride is more intense Goliath or raging bull?
That drop is just too good… criminally underrated
How is it underrated…? Most enthusiasts regard it as a top 5 steel coaster drop, but ONLY in the back row
@@marcbasil I think the dropping feeling is the best feeling on a coaster, and this one does it perfectly out of all the B&M hypers I’ve ridden, but yes, especially in the back row.
@@Abasolos9910 it’s called airtime, either floater airtime, ejector airtime, or flojector airtime. The first drop in the back row of this ride is one of the only B&Ms to contain a sustained pop of ejector airtime. It’s an anomaly. However, besides that, this is probably the worst B&M hyper model for airtime. The rest of the ride has almost no airtime whatsoever, and is heavily criticized for it. The best B&M Hypers for airtime are rides like Behemoth, Mako, Shambhala, etc
@@marcbasil I know what airtime is, but I like the drop for that, and the ride can be called overrated over and over, but it’s not going to change my opinion. I do like other b&m hypers better, like nitro or mako.
I literally was just thinking about this a few minutes ago. This is my first B&M Hyper coaster! The first drop never fails!
This ride is so smooth.👍
The first rollercoaster I ever rode was the Chicago Loop at Old Chicago amusement park in about 1978. The last rollercoaster I ever rode was Raging Bull in 2011. It was my first time riding it. At the slight pause halfway through the ride I thought it was over...then it wasn't. I decided right then that this would be my last rollercoaster ride. ☺
Six Flags Great America 🇺🇸 was easily the best summertime trip you can take! In October they had the "Haunted Great America" which was always a blast. The American Eagle having one car running backwards! That was back, way back when but it was always a extremely fun experience!
It really is a fantastic drop
Glad you guys enjoyed!
This looks AMAZING, and going right to the top of my coaster bucket list to be seated at the right hand of Fury 325...If my bucket list were the Nile, F325 would be its crown jewel....
I ❤ going around in circles from top to bottom gathering speed as you go.
I can't believe it took so long for the coaster world to realize how great this ride is as long as you're in the back. The secret is finally out, lol.
There's only additional que for row 1, but it could do with it for 9, the wait for the back can be anywhere from same as the rest of the rows to an extra 5/6 trains.
I went here today. This was the first roller coaster I have ever been on in my life, it was so terrifying but so fun
I got on it for the first time today and omg it was so terrifying for real I cried 🤣
That thing is like the most perfect coaster. Smoooth almost feels like your flying
Smoothest roller coaster I've ever been on, it's really good if you lean forward into the drop it feels like you are floating for a moment.
They raised the prices of tickets and season passes a few years ago to keep the local riff raft out of the park.
That probably works better than the metal detectors, lots of gangs from the surrounding area would just hang out at the park.
This is my home park and back outside raging bull is one of the best rides, I just wish they'd increase the speed after the block, 10 miles and hour more would make this one of the best coasters in the country. I feel there is alot of missed airtime and negative g forces missed on the second half.
The anti-rollback sound on this coaster was used on one of the Steel Hyper Coaster models on Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.
I used to go on this rollercoaster and always aim to sit on the back seats, cause they gave a little whiplash after dropping off the first drop and you could see everyone ahead on the loops. If you sat on the front it went over the first drop gradually - just wasn't the same.
very well done! beautiful. thanks a lot for posting.
Appreciate it. Stay tuned for even better 🥃
It’s amazing it stays on the track.
I actually work at Raging Bull right now.. best ride in the park and best employees ever!! If you go and the small chance I’m there scream “watermelon please!” And if I see ya I’ll give you a high-five!!
I remember when they first started putting the ride up - crazy how time flies
I really like Raging Bull, got to ride it in 2007 on a band trip lol
Somehow it is like the best first drop if youre in the back row. Its shaped perfectly i guess
The BEST coaster there after all these years. Forget Goliath or Maxx Force. Raging Bull is awesome.
It might not even be the best in that area of that park. Viper when it’s running hot probably offers more consistent airtime. RB was a failure for B&M. Besides that first drop in the back row (and ONLY in the back row), that coaster is trimmed to oblivion. It also has the twister section which offers nothing.
A failure in terms of what? I mean, it competes for longest lines in SFGA since day one…
B&Ms started feeling very similar to each other long ago to me. I'm a wood coaster dude & will skip a steel coaster if a park's crowded, just to get more/enough rides on whatever wood coaster I'm there for. Because of this great video, I'll be sure to not miss Raging Bull in a few weeks (early Sept 2023).
They just do what their paid to do, don’t blame them. Ever been on a Beemer where the park owner allowed them to go nuts & get weird….? Flying Dinosaur is arguably the best, most brutaIIy intense steel coaster ever made. Montu & Tatsu are still widely regarded as some of the most intense steel coasters in the US. Their fliers & wingriders over in China are baIIs to the wall intensity, and absolutely enormous behemoths. Everyone knows their hypers stink, but they’re meant for GP, not for enthusiasts.
@@marcbasil I'm a wood coaster guy & barely keep up with steel coasters. Had to look up Flying Dinosaur. I'm not a fan of flying coasters & have ridden four. Both Supermans at Six Flags Georgia & New Jersey, Tatsu, and the old Vekoma X-Flight at Six Flags in Ohio. Don't like the riding position, it's weird feeling & looking & uncomfortable. I dislike the high pressure on my back during the vertical loop. I think these are gimmicks & they're super complicated. The downward corkscrew on Flying Dinosaur looks cool. I need to give these more chances. I rode Tatsu 4 times last Dec of 2022, trying to like it, but I didn't. Some B&Ms I like are Nitro, Medusa, Kumba (LOVE it), Superman Fiesta Texas and Thunderbird. I'll give Superman at Six Flags Great America a bunch of rides as I'll be there mid-September. I'll try to see if I can change my mind & maybe like these.
Looks absolutely phantastic and smooth! Wanna ride this! Too bad I live on the other side of the planet xD
Your Video Quality is amazing, Thank you!
Great America opened when i was 11 years old. Great memories.
greatest back seat ride in the country. that first drop literally makes you feel as though you're in free fall for like 4 or 5 seconds.
Sitting in the back, you dropped quicker than anyone else as the front riders drag you down with them. Yeah! You definitely would've bucked like a bull!
The pacing.. most underrated coaster
I’ve been on it several times. Solid roller coaster 🎢
First drop's decent enough - for me it's the Camel Hump with the trim on it that gives a great kick of airtime
I ride this next week, I’m way to excited!
Have a lot of fun, good luck on lines
My favorite coaster!
When he said WEÜÖGH I felt that
That first WHOAA had me in stitches lol what a nice long coaster!!
dopeblacktherapist it is a very good ride i have a gut felling you had an ice cream at the park 🍿i had beer 🍺
One of my favorite there!
The one of the sneaky thing that six flags has going for it if they still keep a blind eye is when your getting off the ride and if their like no line and sing seats open you can get away with jumping back on, I rode raging bull their like ten times straight due to that trick but it was not busy and ride operators in that case did not care
I was in the middle-back of this ride and it was so fun!!
very cool ride, some nice air time in the middle there.
Most back row ride B&M has ever built.
Nice relaxing smooth ride.
This is just such a good layout the whole way through
My stomach dropped more than once. Awesome job!
The two guys in front are ice cold coaster pros it seems. The didnt even look for half of the first drop. Insane
Used to seeing the videos from the front seat view. This looks even scarier b/c is harder to see what's coming up next.
You can definitely see the front of the train most of the ride from the back 🤌🏽
Definitely get some good ejecter airtime from the back on that first drop.
The back is still second best. The front seat on that hill and drop is BEAUTIFUL
Awesome
This coaster does not get enough respect.
Very smooth too… thx!
More roller coaster content posters should show rides from the back of the train. I thinks doing so gives more feeling of motion, even on a little ipad screen. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
…? Lol pretty much all enthusiasts do that
Going here on Sunday with a buddy of mine. I’ll be screaming my head off!
Best ride! Very impressive.
That looks awesome!
Easily in my top 5 favorite drops just behind X2 and Time Traveler.
Judging by your enthusiastic screaming when the drop started it could very well be the best back row drop of all time lol My Dude
I love it
This is the official rollercoaster of the greater Chicagoland area.
Reminds me of Diamondback @ Kings Island!! 😀👍
That looks amazing
I miss the Shockwave and Iron Wolf.
What are the wait times like now?
Love the POVs homies! Keep em coming. I'll take that, "World's best drop?", as modern era click bait because, come on. Iron Gwazi, Fury 325, Steel Vengeance, Cannibal, TMNT Shellraiser, Zadra, DC Rivals. Now see, I didn't want to do that. 😂🍻
Exactly, modern era click bait. We know it ain’t true, but it’s hysterical when other people comment all angry 🤌🏽😂
@@EastCoasters where would it rank in your favorite drops?
1:00 lol the scream tho 😂
This brought me joy. ☮️
Very very cool, my friend 🚀🇫🇮
@East Coasters What was your favorite ride at Great America? I love raging bull, but haven't ridden maxx force or goliath yet.
I wouldn't say this very often, or write it, but this Coaster is really well designed.
good one
The G force in the last car of train are siiiiick!!! Yesssss, the powwwerrrr! Muhahahaha
Looks pretty similar to the Goliath in GA. The front 2/3 is pretty much the same, and just the end is different.
I felt that in my stomach , that was crazy .
First two hills of Millennium Force are even better.. love them both
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
Great America use to be my homepark. Grew up with the park and rode Raging Bull when i first opening and years after. I always liked it and never got the hate. And the drop is definitely better than Apollos chariot, but not the best. You HAVE to be in the very back row for raging bull and then it competes in the top half of the best B&M hypers out there. I personally like the Flojector on Mako more and Raging bull first drop on par with Intimadator, which is not a knock, as Intimadator is a very good hyper with an amazing first drop. A 65° angle drop doesn't generate greatness or elite drops. Generates great drop.
I don't think you can just look at the angle, there are mitigating factors like the longer train and pre-drop. I'd be hard pressed to call it best in the world, but it's certainly world class, in row 9.
I take Apollo’s drop over this one. Both are great, but Apollo has a few key advantages in my opinion. First, the predrop is less violent and the track at the top is a lot longer, adding to the anticipation of the drop as you watch the rows in front disappear over the edge. Second, the drop is almost perfect 0G in back. I still remember floating between my seat and restraint the entire time. Raging Bull has light ejector, but that feels safer to me because you’re held against the restraint. And because of the angle/shape/forces/pullout, pretty sure the air on Apollo’s drop lasts noticeably longer. Also the location with the huge trees, the ravine with the river, and the shorter lift, make Apollo’s drip feel surprisingly long.
But yes, both A+ drops in back and I looove how sudden they are. They’re like drop towers, one second you’re at normal gravity, the next instant you’re falling.

THAT'S GOT TO BE THE LONGEST MOST CRAZIEST ROLLERCOASTER I'VE EVER SEEN.
YES ! KICK ass ride. Thanks 🇺🇲
THE LAYOUT!!!!
I have never rode this, is the first drop stronger than Diamondback's first drop? That shit bussin if u ride in the back 🎉
Diamondback is my favorite hyper but yeah this drop tops it bro 🥃
How does it compare to Iron Gwazis drop
Arata foarte misto❤❤❤
