      At 22:00 you can see the side step of the rebel take a huge impact from the slick rock. It looks like it got bent slightly. I loved this review it was super informative and well cut and put together. You guys did really good! I don't think I would pay the extra for the raptor. I love that Rebel a lot! I think I could spend a bit of that 15k on a lift, tires, and front locker and it would crush all these comparisons.

      One thing y'all should compare is headlights since all 3 now offer led. I'm kinda curious which one would be the best for driving in the mountains or anywhere when it is pitch black out

    • @jaytrock3217
      @jaytrock3217 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@malifestro7596 I thought the same thing about the sidestep no mention of that. I think both of the sides took large impacts, but driver's side look worse. Also if you see the rebel on tailpipe crusher the left bumper was dragging on the drivers side. They only showed the side next to the tail pipe. I do admit the Rebel plowed for everyone else. Curious why you didn't show the Raptor tail section like you did with the Boss and Rebel. I actually thought the Trailboss was going to get the most damage. I just find it funny that the Raptor is last. I mean isn't it the most offload worthy. Instead they let the Boss and Rebel find the lines.

    I get tired of seeing all of theses off road tests ( not just TFL) being done in rocks and sand in the desert. Much of the country does their off roading on logging roads through forests. We encounter mud, clay, swamps, sand, rocks, mud slicked hills, streams etc. It would be nice to see people test off road vehicles when the frost is coming out of the ground in the spring in the mid west. You'll see how capable your vehicle is then.

    Why do people always complain about blank interior switches, in my opinion they put them there for aftermarket addons, like say you want to add a light bar or something like that which will need a switch to turn it on well there you go now you have a factory switch for it and you don't have to put a switch for it under your dash or god forbid drill a hole in your dash somewhere to put in some crappy aftermarket switch! Maybe it's just me but I like having some blank factory switches that I can use when I put some aftermarket stuff on my truck. Personally I think it's a good idea, let me know what you think!

    • @johnterpack3940

      If they are actual switches. Probably just blank plates where switches could go. Can only imagine what a switch would cost at the dealership. Even if they are switches, they are still blank. Do you write labels for them if you wire them up? I like having extras, but the blank faces would still trigger me.

Another reason the Raptor really is in a class of its own.

Nope it was GM and they still have the old pushrod 355hp, anemic by comparison engine and crappy interior and seats. God forbid if Ford wasn't here I would buy the Fiat myself it looks way more offroad and has better seats and interior than the mundane Chevy imho. • @SteelRhinoXpress
      @SteelRhinoXpress 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      How am i on crack? go look at used 2017 models and tell me how much they lost their resale value. so in other words i'm guessing he traded his truck into one of those typical big car dealership and they low balled him on his trade in because they knew how much he wanted an older raptor with a v8? lol well gee there's his problem. Everyone with common knowledge knows that you get low balled with trades in from big car dealerships. He obv didn't do much looking around before trading it in, to get suckered into to paying 15k ontop of his trade in for a raptor that was 2 years older. So unless he had a decent amount of miles on his truck already and the raptor that was 2 years older had hardly any miles on it, then there should've been no reason why he had to pay that much for it ontop of his trade in. You're friend got played. But if you want a nice looking truck to use as an excellent daily driver with good off-road capabilities IF you do off-roading, the Rebel is the way to go due to the price difference between the Rebel and the Raptor; plus, the interior of the Rebel is a great place to be on long trips. Great video! I've been a subscriber since late 2012. That being said your channel(s) have grown exponentially since, (and rightfully so !). I was watching closely on this vid (as I'm certain a lot of us do) and was wondering when was your very first "4 wheeling" experience prior to starting this channel ?
    Your answer to this question might actually make for a great video or a re-enactment of it.
    Thank You TFL !
    Warmest Regards from Arizona

All these trucks are nice, but anyone who drops 70k+ on a truck to do this has got too much money.
