If you do a rainbow of colors, they'll be able to distinguish all the blues, greens, and yellows, but if you try hiding greens on a gray, white, pale cream, off-white background, they'll start to fumble. They can see green, but they see it as a whitish/grayish color.

The source I'm referring to worded it as if to say dogs can see green normally ("they are not truly colorblind; they can see many colors from blues and greens to grays and cremes") but it could very well be an outdated source now. It was weird that it didn't mention yellow considering that Google makes it look like more than half of what they see is yellow.
