Beautiful tones! I’m slightly split but the 75 has a nice high end detail that I like.

I understand. The 75 has a bit more highs but the galaxy seems to have a wider “gain” range.

Which would you recommend used with an RB Strat into a 20 W clean sounding Fender Copy Amp (Stagg)
    Home practice only.
    I'm a singer,not a proper guitarist!

I think the galaxy would give you more options to set the tone as it has 2 knobs instead of just the one on the other. Also let me offer this as a very good alternative to both: reverb.com/item/41024709-handwired-aiwa-tp-1011-preamp-pedal-with-blackmore-mods?

Question : How can I sound like Robin Trower from 1975 , Winterland Concert ? Thank You For Your Excellent Videos

Thank you Trevor! Unfortunately I dont know Robin Trover and his gear good enough to provide a valueable advice.

Well, to begin....some sort of Marshall amp, preferably 50 or 100 watt.
Then a Stratocaster type guitar...single coils only.
Wah wah and univibe effect and your ready to get too rollin' stoned!

LA connection riffs aren't played with a pick, they're played with the thumb and forefinger of your right hand!

I know Blackmore played some of his licks with fingers but I am not so sure about LA connection. It is obvious on man on the silver mountain, it pops so much but the attack could be of a pick in LA. I cant decide.

Galaxy sounds too thin for my taste. Do you feel either of those pedals are ballpark close to the Hornby Skewes? I think my HS-C BSM unit probably has the closest HS (Hornby Skewes) sound of any of the BSM pedals I've heard or tried. Could be that back in the HS days, the germanium transistor chips were not as 'consistent' so a good HS tone is hard to replicate from that era. BSM does a great job of getting the different tones out there. As always, nice job AA/DWTB

I never thought about comparing them, they are apples and oranges really. Now I never played the HS-C but my Horby Skewes replica doesn't really add that much drive, it does push the amp but mainly boosts some frequencies. While the Aiwa pedals like the Galaxy adds a drive texture which you can think of overdrive. The hornby cannot replicate post 1974 sounds and the Galaxy can't sound like Machine Head.
I think you'd like it on your rig, I am sure there are plenty of differences in our overall setup and it counts a lot.

HS-C straight into the Marshall. Like Ritchie I use very little overdrive to replicate the MKII tone. These pedals do a fine job replicating Ritchie's MK III and Rainbow Akai tone. Nice job AA. 😊

Studio 75 in Still I'm sad for me is the winner... in the other samples there are very close and it depends on the riff... as always Blackmore wins with all his little secrets (and hands!)

Unfortunately for is Blackmore likes to keep his cards close to his chest but BSM does help you figuring out his tricks. Both sound awesome but I am slightly leaning towards the Galaxy. Although the 75 is great for the first album. Works nicely for others too but The galaxy sounds more complex on my rig and in my hands. But that’s just ma first impression.

@@DogwithtwoBones When you read on the user manual of the Galazy 1011 "the output level can be very high (more than 8volts !) when the unit is not handled
properly, destroying following stompboxes" don't you feel little worried?

@@Vigilius60 Just a little bit, I guess it is more like a liability statement. And I am too rock and roll to worry :D :D

Hard to get closer without the original vintage speaker - or at least that's what I think now.
