    I got sjogren when I was 13 years old. I was diagnosed was multiple sclerosis at 27 years old. I have had cancer twice. I quit sugar and fast 18 hours out of 24 daily. Only eat whole foods. I have been in remission for 30 years. I am 71. I believe I got autoimmune disease being bitten by 5 horse flies on my skull while swimming in the Missouri River in USA at 13 years old.

      Hearing you are in remission is amazing.
      I am 52 diagnosed with SS. I believe it’s from Oral Maxofacial surgery when I was 17. I have screws and implants in my Jaw. When you say Whole Foods what does that mean. I have cut sugar lately and been fasting from 6pm until noon and it has helped plus at least 60 oz of water with electrolytes and salt during the day.
      Any input would help.

    Tell us about Rituxan infusion.
    We have taken it last month.
    Is it necessary to get it after 6 months or it is enough.

    I have Psioratic version, luckily have a well versed GP who referred me to a specialist straight away.
    Treatment has been very successful fortunately, and after 30 years of it I am still able to do most things.
    Have moved to a low carbohydrates diet which has helped me by getting my depression reduced.

    Dr. Girnita, this is the best video I have seen on RA to date. Thank you for the useful analogies.
    I have a question: With medical advancement over the past decade, is methotrexate still considered the first line of treatment for a newly diagnosed patient with RA?

    • @rheumatologistoncall
      @rheumatologistoncall  3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes methotrexate works in 40-50% of patients

    Please make a video of differential diagnosis between different types of inflammatory arthritis like enteropathic, seronegative, psoriatic etc. Also is there a way we can consult you online about diagnosis doctor?

    But you still haven't discussed how to diagnose RA properly. My mom got a sudden onset of severe left ankle pain. Her ANA test is normal. But her CRP and ESR are high. Her dr is convinced she has RA . I don't believe her. Her synovial fluid shows high nucleated cells . She feels severely fatigue. And doctor wants to give her humira injection. I'm still not convinced she has RA
