- Salam everyone! In today's video I share my halal eyebrow tutorial and talk about the history of my eyebrows. You'll see in the video that my eyebrows have been a topic of controversy throughout my life and I'm really proud that I've always stood up for myself and my natural beauty. I really love that Islam teaches us to avoid altering our bodies for trends and "beauty", and I hope you enjoy what I have to share.

I feel like I am listening to myself... I frequently get UNISLAMIC advice from MUSLIM people..and wonderful part in my life is my NON-MUSLIM friends have supported my ISLAMIC decision once I explained them the reason behind it..
The truth is, majority of Eastern people think that looking somewhat similar to Western caucasian folks, will get them accepted in the world.
I can relate to your struggle with our very own MUSLIM community.
All we can do is give Islamic proof, hear their side, say thank you, and make the best descion for ourselves. Whilst making Du'a for everyone to love every aspect of who they're.

I had to get them shaped ...😶😶😟 But there are girls who have very slight hair yet they get them done , which I find so weird ! But it's their choice at the end of the day 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🌻💛🌻

I think it is extremist and ridiculous that some of you think getting your eyebrows done is haram... There is no where in the quran that says doing your eyebrows is haram, not everything you hear from scholars is true.
Tala Barham its extremely ridiculous also that you don't know the fact that there's a hadith warning you from tattoos and plucking eyebrows, you can search it If you want ^^
I work at a salon styling hair and waxing eyebrows in the United States. I have never been Muslim and watch these types of videos just to learn more about other people around the world. I have waxed eyebrows for hijabis in the past and no one has ever told me that there is anything religious about it at all. I tend to be a very conservative waxer, though, and clean up eyebrows more than totally reshaping them. Middle Eastern Women tend to have full, beautiful eyebrows and I don't like to tamper with that formula.
If you have freak eyebrows you can fix it but if you don't you should not change the shape by removing hair the only thing to do is bleach
Muslim women are allowed to tweeze or wax or laser their eyebrows to neaten them and to ensure they don't resemble men's eyebrows. This is grooming which is allowed. However shaping the eyebrow into a totally different shape than its original shape is not allowed. Mufti Menk has explained this well in his videos. xoxo, luv:) !

I'm an Atheist but I can completely put myself in your shoes, realising it must be so tuff and confusing when you are in a position where your mind says a thing and the people in your direct environment say to do the complete opposite. But I also love your eyebrows, they frame your face beautifully and give you so much character and charisma; I can only wish to have those :)

The issue of Muslims wanting to share their opinion on someone practicing something in the deen is not only on eyebrows unfortunately. When I started wearing hijab or niqab, I got the same type of questioning from people of our own faith. It was really disappointing and confusing because we would expect people of our ummah to be the most understanding. But I have accepted to give the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes people are just not aware of things. May Allah help us support each other and follow the deen. Ameen❤️

I can totally relate to everything you said. Aunties would give me their unsolicited opinions about my eyebrows “the only thing wrong with your face is your eyebrows “ while they have half an eyebrow but I would never say anything hurtful like that to them. i love my eyebrows and they literally bullied me for having thick brows. Meanwhile some of my friends would actually compliment my eyebrows cause they’re bushy but defined

When I brush my brow hairs downwards, the ends reach my upper lash line. Is it permissible for me to trim it then?

Thank you so much for making this video. I've been looking for answers regarding my brows but there are such different opinions out there. I personally dont like thin eyebrows. I usually get it threaded by someone else coz I m too scared to ruin it by accidently ruining it. But I always ask them to not make it thin. I was wondering if that's allowed. Recently I reduced the number of times I get them threaded (just once every other month). Now I mostly pluck my monobrow and try to clean up around my brows at home.

My eyebrows are not bushy but I am not sure what my natural shape of my eyebrow is, because I have a lot of little hairs growing outside of the shape.. so am is it halal to pluck these or maybe my eyebrow still haven’t fully grown yet ? Question: is it haram if we pluck the under part of the eyebrow like where the eye kind of starts?. Bcs i have heard that it is prohibited to pluck the under part, u are just allowed to do it above the eyebrow. And also we are not allow to change the shape of the eyebrow. So what should i do for my eyebrow.

I'm not a Muslim so it doesn't mean anything to me personally whatever the heck anyone wants to do with their eyebrows (or anything else) but I have often wondered the same thing when watching hijab tutorials, etc. So many girls wear hijab without following certain other Islamic teachings. Like I said, it makes no difference to me but I'm glad to see someone addressing a topic like this.

I have Bushy eyebrows I don't really do anything to but brush. Everyone tries to convince you that you'll look soooo much better but honestly even without the Islamic aspect it's just painful and an extra hassle and cost to me.

What should you do if you've already done you eyebrows? I got them done without knowing its haram to pluck them, and im scared if i let them grow back, it will be chaotic. I dont give them a shape anymore, just take out the hairs that are 'stray'.

thank you sm for this video! i was having a dilemma about this because i too have very thick brows and i never really shaped them because i like the shape, but just remove extra hairs/trim them so i look clean. This was without even knowing about these hadith and after learning about them I got worried and had a hard time hearing from someone with thick brows as well, as that doesn’t even seem to be taken into account. Hello there, so i have a question regarding stray hairs, how are you supposed to know which are your stray hairs, so i have hairs like below my brows and they are kind of connected so im not sure about my actual eyebrow and the stray hairs, and also can u pluck the hairs above the brows the light hairs? Trust me I know how it feels when everyone's wearing them and you feel odd one out but tbh if you're wearing make up when you're allowed (I.e not in front of non mahram) then just make the eyeliner thicker maybe? I'm going to try this إن شاء الله

I'm kinda wondering about the hair that kinda grows under your eyebrows and a little bit over your eyelid. Are we allowed to pluck that area or not at all. Also the hair above the eyebrows are we allowed to pluck that?

Girl, i'm from Indonesia and i understand that eyebrow thing is a very difficult challenge for some woman, but you have a natural beautiful lashes too. Me have no lashes at all and i also struggle not to have extension on it while everyone are having full thick lashes. Southeast and eastern asian has genetically thin or no lashes. Hair extension including lashes is also forbidden.
niken putri heyy you should put coconut oil on your lashes when you go to sleep. It really helps

try extra virgin olive oil and aloe vera, it does help your eyebrow to grow, and for eye lashes, i also have thin and short eye lashes, and i start using itsmid before going to sleep (it also sunnah btw), alhamdulillah that also helps my eye lashes to grow stronger and little bit longer and thicker
Try using oils that are good for hairgrowth and put a little bit on lashes. Maybe it will help thicken them. I feel like it works in my case.
Assalamualaikum i want to talk about the last part where you showed trimming the eyebrow with scissors.....i mean is it okay to trim the eyebrows short because i heard that we can only remove the uni brow but we cannot trim pluck or shave the brow......i know you are not a scholar so it maybe hard for you to answer my question it's okay i understand but please reply if you know or not because you know i need an answer whatever it maybe ......thanks❤

Just don't pluck them at all except the middle and use eyebrow gell and a little concealer and honestly no one will know. Also... You can bleach the small hairs around the eyebrow and that way no problems at all.
my sister has a uni brow can she wax that of and i have really thick but short eye brows so how should i clean them without changing the shape (btw i am 13 and i will be going to hs next year so i was looking forward to improving my eyebrows)

My parents are from Turkey and I have really bushy eyebrows too, I think mine are even bushier (is that a word) than yours. And I am kind of happy that I have thick eyebrows so I don’t have to fill them in, but mine are not in shape and it’s really hard to shape them and to get them even. The hair is very thick and hard too and doesn’t look good at all. Yours are soft and in place but mine... I really don’t know what to do. I’ve gotten a lot of hate because of that and a lot of people already bullied me and I am soo insecure about it. That’s probably the biggest reason why I don’t think I’m pretty lol.

Here the thing is you can clean the stray hairs and the unibrow area but the haram thing is if you change the eyebrow shape completely or if you shave it off. So yes you can pluck the little hairs that surround your eyebrows and make sure to maintain your eyebrow shape as well. Also trimming them will help too as well! Hope this helped.

Another option for bushy eyebrows is bleaching the hairs. It is not considered plucking since you are not actually removing the hairs. This way you don't have to worry about crossing the line when removing the stray hairs.

This was a great video! I love how your so relaxed about what others think, and don't cross any lines. I've been wondering for a while about this sort of thing - eyebrows, facial hair, and all. I know where you got those hadiths from too, cause I came across it during my research. Considering I'm still young, I think I'll just leave my face alone for now. I can relate because I used have unieyebrow and I was so confused BUT LATER CONSULTED A MUFTI and mentioned exactly what you said . If you think about it the connection is actually not part of THE EYEBROWS HENCE IT MAKES SENSE TO BE ALLOWED TO REMOVE IT .I only remove the middle connection to the eyebrows thats it 💁

Lamyae it was a huge fad in Saudi Arabia for a while. Apparently it is considered halal simply because they aren't cutting or shaving anything but it honestly a dangerous thing to do. Bleach.....near your eyes. Yeah........no

Since you have done a lot of research on which portion of eyebrows to trim,wax or bleach or whatever... i want to know can we remove the hairs around our eyebrows?? Like 3-4 cm above our eyebrows .. not touching the real thing.. I hope you understood what i mean.... I reallly want to know if that is permissible .??. Islam encourages women to differentiate themselves from men and if I let my beard, mustache, and eyebrows grow free I would definitely cause abhorrence for my husband. 🤣🤣🤣 It would be funny though hahaha. I have 2 questions, recently I have found out that its haram, but before I found out I got my eyebrows "shaped" to a normal size because they were very bushy, am I now "cursed"? The other question is, can I pluck the hairs to keep my eyebrows looking clean? like I will only remove the stray hairs but I won't shape them anymore.
