So good.
He was like a little kid. It was so sweet.
He was so tentative and then his mind was blown
I love how he always asks "the whole thing?" after he's dumped it all in
Was just going to comment this!! 🤣 He says, "All of it?" lol so cute.

And 3 Gaby's.

“My pinch is different than your pinch”
His nervous energy is adorable
Imagine how chaotic this show would be if brad’s the one giving instructions
Guest: Ok what are the precise instructions?
Brad: Ay y'know, make it real nicey nice.
Lmao we need a cross over immediately
@@videoguy640 Just have Brad giving instructions to Carla lol
@@videoguy640 ouu what if they did a crossover-special? each would be swapping with another for just one episode. like say Brad does back to back, so Carla takes Chris' spot, etc. It would be really fun *sigh*
@@ipek6677 that's a dope idea!
I didnt realise how huge deandre actually is until I saw him holding the flour bowl with one hand and Carla cradling the same bowl with her arm
i also think carla is just very petite and short. they are both are just at dramatic ends of the spectrum lol
he held the banana and it looked hilariously small
Felt this way about the spatula.
Felt this way with the salt pinch! If he DIDN'T use his ring finger, it would be a full on Tbs
and deandre is 6’11” sooooo
The pinky salt bit was the cutest stuff I’ve ever seen.
*Deandre:* "Is it good chef etiquette to smell the food?"

I love when athletes do this because you can see how coachable they are. Actors just try to be quirky and fun, but athletes are such better listeners.
athletes always take better direction. That's why they always win Dancing with the Stars.
I legitimately didn't think about this, but it makes perfect sense.
Fancy seeing my favorite country music reviewer on a Bon Appetit video
I liked Nina Dobrev being just a little bit of a clown, but not too much.
Hailee was just lost and Carla didn't account for that. Some of the other actors also don't cook and try and cover that up a bit. Part of it is perspective - comedians and actors are personalities that want people to be entertained. Athletes need to execute.
Great assessment!
This was so soothing. Also petition for a guest spot where DeAndre Jordan learns to cook vegan dishes.
YES This needs to happen. Claire would lose her spot as the most popular show on the channel...

Carla doesn’t get enough cred for her sassy aunt style charisma
That is the best description of Carla’s personality that I have ever heard
Ugh true I love her so much 😂
She's a bawse! :)
For real! I strive to have that energy. Her son's name is Cosmo so she is pretty amazing ❤
I love how funny she is and i found it really funny how she was not like flirty or such but was like low key saying "i think you are gorgeous" hahahahahahah

_On today's agenda is..._
1. Catch feelings for DeAndre Jordom
Lol same i didnt think i'd like this episode as much as i did
Carla: “pour the liquid in the mixer” Deandre: “so the bowl with the banana and fork”
I laughed so hard at that omg
He got confused because Carla said the mixer on his left, but she meant his right side.
At least he's clarifying and being careful. This is therapy after the embarrassment that was Ninja
it kind of is a very old school mixer :p
Tessa De Vocht how lol
Thing I learned today: DeAndre Jordan is kind of adorable.
It’s jarring when a man that tall is so adorable. Makes me want to just cuddle his leg; he probably wouldn’t even notice
Hella adorable
100% agree!!
Chris Richard kind of? He’s so cute
He's so gentle with everything
My actual favorite guest and I don’t even know who he is
Agreed! He's funny and seems into it. Love that!
Just for context. He's a professional basketball player
ha! same!
Sameeee lol
same!! literally have no idea what he does
i like how he tested the sugar to see if it was actually sugar before dumping it in XD
he might be inexperienced, but there's some common sense right there hahaaa
I'VE BEEN LAUGHING AT IT FOR 10 MINUTES. HE IS SO PRECIOUS!
well he knows it could be salt.. very logical, would have done the same thing
He's so tall yet I have the urge of calling him a smol soft bean.
He seems like a sweetheart
@DaFuzzBearYT not anymore
This is the best comment I’ve ever seen in my life
Tol soft bean
hes wearing pastel blue sneakers i get it too 😂
The whole Bon Appétit fandom just fell in love with DeAndre Jordan
HOW IS HE SUCH AN ADORABLE HUMAN???!?? Fo real, favorite guest yet
Yes, yes I did.
I concur
I did ;; I even googled him, he's adorable ;;
Literally looked him up on IG as I was watching bc he's adorable lol
I love how his hands make it look like they're holding completely different sized bowls
same with the spatula. when she said grab the small black spatula, i was like "yeah thats definitely the small spatula when hes holding it" lol
He's probably the most competent cook of this series, didn't do anything wrong, didn't panic, didn't mess about.
It also helps that the recipe was not that complex when compared to others on the show
Nina Dobrev did pretty well too and she was cute af doing it
Senna Augustus
Miz Cracker did quite well too!
And TASTED everything before putting it in!
Michael Shannon was probably the best one. I feel like he could have made the recipe without any direction at all.
I really thought his spatula was smaller than Carlas turns out he's actually just got huge hands
Saamee that was kinda funny😂😍
When he picked up the bowl to whisk the flour the bowl looked SOOOO TINY compared to Carla’s 😂
when he did the pinches I was like "how can he put so much salt between his fingers???"
“I’ll just do a pinky pinch” - proceeds to sprinkle salt for a good 5 seconds😂😂
@SUBSCRIBO he's averaged almost 11 boards and 10 points a game for his entire career. He's led the league in rebounds 2x, 3x all NBA teams, 2x all NBA defensive 1st teams, and has been an all star. That's a very solid career, definitely not a bum
When he squats to flip the pancakes 😂 How adorable is this guy?
Is nobody talking about how clean our boy kept his station?! ❤️
Pamela England I know! I thought it was so awesome that he’d tidy and put things he was done with off to the side. So adorable ❤️🥰

Haha yes! I think he really wanted his Bloody Mary
I’ve noticed that with a lot of the other guests too lol

He probably wanted to try it and see what it tastes like.
Because he was also waiting for Carla to try his and give him feedback.
Everyone's talking about how he's tall and I'm just thinking about how big time Bon Appetit is now to get DeAndre Jordan on the show.

the way he's stacking the used bowls to the side. he's so adorable!
Sorry I’m not a sports person and didn’t know who DeAndre Jordan was before this video started. But now so grateful to Back to Back producers for finally finding someone who didn’t think their job on a COOKING SHOW was to be “funny” and sassy, pitching out stupid one-liners. Instead, Mr. Jordan was wonderfully focused, warm, gently humorous, in sync, interested, impressed with the knowledge he was gaining, I could go on. Great guest. Hope to see him again. And I’m a carnivore! 😃
Agree with you 100%. Except about the carnivore part. It's more accurate to say omnivore ;)
Tinb A That’s true as I do like carbs. I should have said “I’m an omnivore who tries to avoid most veggies.” 😄

He spends too much time travelling to make it a regular series
This show makes me realize how much easier cooking would be if there was a little elf measuring and cleaning everything
You can do that too though! It's a French culinary term called Mise en place.
Just get a set of small glass bowls online and then preweigh/measure/cut everything up and all you gotta do is throw things together in order
@@chairofthebored yeah but the mise en place and cleaning are the not fun part of cooking so if some "elf" did that, I'dattempt to cook way more complicated dishes too
