I have a question I’m planning to buy an electric scooter however i don’t know which one I should get. I’m either between Gotrax flex ultra e-scooter or a Caroma e-scooter but I don’t which Caroma e-scooter is the best? My budget is about 200-500 dollars. I’m probably going to get it from Amazon. Thank you for your time. Have a great day 😄
Hello! So I personally haven’t reviewed the GoTrax Flex Ultra so I can’t say too much about it. What I can say about the Caroma is that the 1,200 watt version is very zippy and has more than enough power to tackle hills. From the looks of it, both scooters use similar components. The benefit of the GoTrax is that it has a suspension. With that being said, the 14” air filled tires on the Caroma do a great job of absorbing impact and I found it quite comfortable. I have a link to the 1200W version with adjustable seat in the description of this video. If you do go with Caroma, make sure to get the one with the adjustable seat. They make one with a fixed seat which doesn’t give you any adjustability.
That was cool review on something completely different from the typical sport / commuter scooter. I'm thinking my dad would love something like this for grabbing the mail and cruising around the neighborhood.
It’s definitely a fun scooter. I think what makes it stand out is being a seated budget friendly scooter with 1200W of power. Basically a sleeper scooter haha. Plus in a seated position you get the sensation that you’re moving faster 😎
That's a nice seated scooter. I think this would be a great scooter for a good number of people, especially those who prefer seated scooters vs standing. Standing does get exhausting, then you deal with ankle pain from just being tired of standing for a long time on a scooter. lol
Haha yah foot fatigue becomes a thing, especially after long rides. I’m starting to like these seated scooters more and more. Just need to make sure you have a nice comfortable seat on them. Thankfully they all use bike seats so a quick swap is easy.

Ah they have the title on the page wrong. It’s this one here bit.ly/3Wr7Bdg. It says P2 but it’s actually the P7. I just emailed them to let them know. Thanks! Good catch. It will say 1200W in the title and have the adjustable seat.
That one is a different model, the P1, which does have a suspension but no seat adjustment unfortunately. If you’re a taller rider your knees will be up to your chest lol.
@@tomsgadgetgarage i got one of these scooter n ima big guy and to ride around wit my legs in the middle is tuff, perfer some foot pedals on the side so i can rest my legs more comfortable lol
@@tomsgadgetgarage There's another P5 version with fixed height seats but comes with shocks on the front and rear wheels. My concern is that for a 5'10" guy like me, it's sitting too low to be comfortable. The one you review here has higher seats with shocks, but no wheel shocks. What do you think? Which one is better?
I prefer the one with adjustable seat and handlebars. I’m also 5’10” and definitely took advantage of the adjustability. The 14” tires honestly do an excellent job of absorbing impact so no suspension really wasn’t an issue for me.

@@tomsgadgetgarage ok thank you so much. Hopefully you can review the Gotrax later on in the future too 😄
I bought one for my wife a while back. She loves it, and looks for reasons to run to the store so she can ride it.
Haha that’s awesome. It’s definitely a very fun scooter to cruise around on. Plus that basket really comes in handy.
@tomsgadgetgarage I have the scooter except mine is the fixed seat. Had it for 6 month
Mine came in broke😢 water damage on battery and not working
Return policy was great tho

Just bought the 750W version I got a few customizations I want to do to this bike. I can’t wait..
Congrats! I think it’s a solid platform for customization. You’re definitely going to have fun with it. 😎

@@tomsgadgetgarage totally get it! Comfort wheels, comfort seat, nice ergo's, and a touch of juice. :D
With a $140.00 shipping cost paid by customer.
Oh wow I didn’t see that before. I wonder if it’s related to the newly implemented tariffs.

I just put together my P4 and the handle bars seem lower than I would like them. Wish I could get an extension piece to raise them up!
Yah it would be nice if the P4 offered some level of seat and handlebar adjustment.
Nice review. Good info on the list.
Thank you!
It's fun to ride I just bought. And I'm having a blast
That’s awesome! I’ve been enjoying mine as well. You wouldn’t think a little sit down scooter could be so zippy haha. Have fun! 🛴
@@tomsgadgetgarage yes you wouldn't. But it takes me where I need to go and back, comfortably and smooth on bumps
Great information, interesting looking scooter
Thank you! The first thing my wife said when she saw the scooter was, “oh that’s a cute scooter” haha.
I have a gyroor c1s that I use for the dog park. I love it but it lacks a little ooomph I'm 6.6 225. I'm ordering one of these today
The extra power goes a long way. I think it makes the scooter a whole lot more versatile. Solid on grass as well.
Is the p7 currently available? I don’t see it on the website.

Love these scooters but no seller shipping to the Netherlands 😢
Ugh I wish they shipped all scooters globally :(
I want this scooter for work
Yah it’s a very fun scooter to ride. The seated position with the 1200 watts of power give it a very spirited/sporty ride.
Yeah, but 19 mph tops is really rough. Seems like they're over selling the 1200 watts?
How do I get one bro
Hello! You can order them direct from their site here: bit.ly/3Wr7Bdg (coupon: TGG10)
I bet I’ll go far with this thing to the south from the north!🫵🏾😃🤗🤗
Ha!

When you hit the brakke the throttle cancels out
Yah I see that in many scooters and e-bikes, although some allow the use of throttle and brake at the same time. Great for little peel outs haha.
@@tomsgadgetgarage great for doing a flying flip, it's dangerous
Flips and scooters are definitely not a good combo.
At amazon same scooters have rear shocks.alao diff seats... I appreciate your review, but it seems already absolete

need foot pedals for bigger ppl
That’s a good callout!

Yah that makes sense. It’d be nice if the seat and handlebars went a bit higher as well to get more leg extension.
Bought One and died right out of the box. Caroma doesn't want to honor the warranty, refuses to fix it because I bought it from Wal-Mart
Make it back to Walmart they’ll give you a refund
These things don't have regenerative breaking?
It does have electronic braking/regen in the motor in addition to the disc brakes.
@@tomsgadgetgarage So mild braking does rejen and full blown braking uses the pads?
