So sorry to hear you lost your license! This should serve you pretty well. At 130lbs, hills will be decent for you. Super steep hills will slow it down quite a bit, but at 195lbs it still gets me up hills. Slows quite a bit at the top of them, but gets me where I’m going. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

I didn’t have to, but it’s not difficult to do. Lots of videos on how to adjust disc brakes out there. You should look into “bedding your brakes” for new bikes and scooters. What you do is take it to top speed, then apply the brakes evenly and pretty hard, until you come almost to a complete stop. Repeat that several times, and that will get your brakes set up better. I just bought an aovopro scooter that is very similar to this scooter but with a central stem for handle bars and a 48 volt battery and I live in a hilly part of Texas and have had absolutely NO PROBLEMS climbing hills or range problems. I feel it was a real buy at $349. The build is adequate. No accessories are non functional and don't appear likely to. There is a huge slew of these scooters with seats, 14"tires, etc. There should be videos on all of them and they would easily outsell the $2000 ones that go fast enough to get you killed...or arrested in California.
LOL, 19MPH down hill with a tail wind! I couldn't find this particular scooter on Amazon (I did find loads of Caroma scooters on Amazon, none for less than $430.00)
More like a head wind 😂 It’s not meant to be a speed demon. I think they had complaints that there wasn’t free shipping, so they raised the price to reflect shipping cost, then made it free shipping. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
@VaporTrailChannel free shipping is ONLY available to prime members. I just looked today on Amazon and this scooter is selling for four hundred and 22 dollars plus shipping. I added it to my shopping list on my account although even at 50 years of age a certain family member strongly objects to me purchasing so much as one more vehicle via Amazon since I already own a razor pocket mod, razor ecosmart metro, razor DXT drift trike ( non electric version) a drift cart and bicycle...I'm somewhat satisfied with the ecosmart metro scooter but it's limited range leaves a lot to be desired. ..probably due to it's use of sealed lead acid batteries as opposed to the more volatile lithium ion batteries.
At the time of production for this video, that wasn’t the case. I appreciate you providing the information. I can only tell you what I think of this one as I haven’t tested the Gotrax. I looked it up and it looks quite similar, so if that’s a better fit, and you can get free shipping, go for it! There are a few differences, that might matter to some. This has dual disc brakes (flex is only back / electric brake), the Y handlebars…which may be more stable…I’m not sure as I haven’t ridden the Flex, the basket appears to be bigger, has fenders front and back, and it also has front AND back suspension. The shocks on this look better than the Flex as well, as they’re sealed shocks. It all comes down to what you, the consumer values. I tend to do a spec comparison before I make a buying choice. The extra $79 you pay in shipping, in the end over the Flex option, may make up for the things the Flex doesn’t have. Or not. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
I hate it when manufacturers try to trick the consumer with a low retail price then increase the shipping charge to a ridiculous amount that makes up for everything plus more.
i have heard great things about this brand but $170 for shipping? seems like thats why the price is cheaper than other electric scooters that ship for free
@@VaporTrailChannel Ordered mine yesterday for a cost of three hundred 88 dollars plus shipping and the total cost came out to around four hundred 18 dollars which is not too bad. My order should arrive within the next week or two according to my Amazon account.
@VaporTrailChannel Mine was shipped via ups. Perhaps that's why I'm suddenly broke again? My scooter came out to a total of four hundred and 18 bucks but I didn't use prime delivery on it.
So I dont mind that your link is an affiliate link, you really should get paid for doing honest work. You said it wasnt an affiliate link though, and it very clearly is. Is that the only thing you lied about? How am I to trust your review now?
It’s definitely not an Amazon affiliate link. I actually joined their program about a year and a half ago, and blew it. I didn’t know that you couldn’t promote links on your Facebook, etc. So, they banned me. So, I am not an affiliate. I do shorten the links using bit.LY, because I like to track how many clicks the links get. That’s all part of the game, as you need to, have metrics to be able to show companies when they ask you for them in order to get product to do reviews. If a link is an affiliate link, I do say so. And that usually comes directly from the company that has sent the product. Take it as you will, but I don’t appreciate being called a liar when the accuser doesn’t have the facts. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
I actually had to go back and look at this one, because this company asked me to use the link that they sent. Apparently it’s their method of tracking it. But if you look at the rest of mine, it is using bit.ly I can see where you would’ve thought that though, in looking at the link. I’m sure there’s a way to find out if I am an Amazon affiliate, if you feel like looking that far into it, but I assure you, I am not an Amazon affiliate. Due to my own mistake with them.
@@VaporTrailChannel Its not tracking, and maybe its not your affiliate link, but I know Amazon affiliate links and it is 100% someones affiliate link! It has a tag, not just a tracker.
@@jon9947 I see. Well, that might be true then. When one of these companies asks me to use their link, I'm fine with that. So I just didn't care either way. So yea, when I say I'm not an affiliate, I mean it. Heck, I wish I was, because I could at least make some beer money 😛 But as it is, I can't. I often do when it's something direct through a manufacturer website, and I will say something like "if you use this link, it doesn't cost you any extra, but I make a few dollars to help support the channel". Yea, sorry if I came at ya a little hard initially. I do my best to operate with integrity. If it is an Amazon affiliate link, it may be the rep who I emailed with who is the affiliate. She told me that she wanted to use it to track the activity. I don't question a whole lot, because I expect the same integrity from manufacturers. This link didn't look like the typical Amazon affiliate link, because it has that linkgeni thing, so I had no idea. I'm going to look into that, and if it is, I'll change the link. Thank you for informing me.
@@VaporTrailChannelwhen I looked it up on Amazon your video was on there. Amazon pays product reviewers in exchange for giving the product ( regardless of whatever product it is) a good rating in order to trick gullible consumers into purchasing said product. Also sites such as Amazon frequently have their own employees write product reviews for the site to help drive up product sales.
Yours is the first time to show install the handlebars but even you're is too fast. I have poor eyesight and need a little more than what the manual shows. Otherwise another due purchase.
I thought they had changed the price to include shipping at one point 🤷♂️ I will tell you that the boxes are large, cumbersome, and HEAVY. That costs money to ship. Depending on where you are (they ship from California, and anything past the Mississippi can be almost twice as much), shipping can be around $150. When I addressed that with them, they had increased the price and gave free shipping. Maybe that changed? Either way, thank you for watching!
@@lonelymamsie LOL...I'm pretty prolific on social media, so I'm not surprised. You know...worth is dependent on the person you're asking. Something that might be great for me, might not be for you. You know what I mean. That said, the scooter is listed for $219, and with shipping, it's about $380. Yea, I would definitely say it's worth it for that. If this is the form factor and type of ride you're looking for that is. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Oh man….sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, that’s something that happens more often than you think, across all brands in e-bikes, skateboards, and scooters. They should take care of you, but you may have to stay vigilant to make sure they’re on top of it.

Thanks, then they shuld have a distributor or corresponding company here that can serve the same purpose @@VaporTrailChannel
@@user-bi4em3bh3h Totally get it..but should and do are 2 different things. I work with a lot of China companies and this is pretty much the norm. Hope get what you need!
I just got my bike and I'm trying to put it together and you go way to fast put the handle bars together and it'd not close up and I can't figure this out
I think we got your squared away?
YES THANKYOU SO MUCH
Awesome
How do you turn the lights on this ? I can’t figure it out
I can’t remember offhand, and a family member of mine now has this, so I don’t have it to look at right this second. I think I showed in the video how to turn them on, no?
Mine has the button on the left grip just above the horn.
Thank you for a cool review: I’m nearly 6ft how tall are you do you think it will be fine for a taller person?
I’m 5’6”, so maybe that will give you some perspective. If you’re on the heavy side, that will factor in for the speed and hill climbing. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Definitely interesting and for what it is the price is fair imo.
Exactly! Thank you for watching!
There should be videos on all of them and they would easily outsell the $2000 ones that go fast enough to get you killed...or arrested in California.
so how can i grt one to buy?
Just follow the link in the description. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
how heavy are you? im 130 lbs and wondering if i would go any faster
I weigh 195lbs, so if you're 130, you might actually get a speed boost. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
@@VaporTrailChannel thank you
You pulled the handle bars down fast and easy to screw it in I can't figure it out on that
Glad you figured it out from our other comment convo!
It's a fun little scooter.. I'm liking mine more and more as I ride It.. I have the p1 in blue / silver.
Nice! Yea, it’s pretty versatile. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Good video, thanks.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
It's not really $300, they are charging another $179 shipping on top, so $479. The GoTrax Flex is $399 with free shipping.
Thanks
No problem, Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Love this
Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
I hate it when manufacturers try to trick the consumer with a low retail price then increase the shipping charge to a ridiculous amount that makes up for everything plus more.
When I did this review, the shipping was free. Maybe they found it cost prohibitive, but I don’t control that. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
i have heard great things about this brand but $170 for shipping? seems like thats why the price is cheaper than other electric scooters that ship for free
That makes sense really. The others are just including shipping into their price. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Use some alcoho, and clean all oil and grease off the disc.
Thanks man!
Feels real fast like you on a bike pedal
Faster than most scooters, for sure. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

*Great price!*

Shipping from Amazon $160.
The shipping fee is $160? If so, wow. But these aren’t lightweight, so that is about how much they cost to ship. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
So in the end you're paying five hundred dollars total for this product? That's so not worth it.
@@VaporTrailChannel
Ordered mine yesterday for a cost of three hundred 88 dollars plus shipping and the total cost came out to around four hundred 18 dollars which is not too bad.
My order should arrive within the next week or two according to my Amazon account.
@VaporTrailChannel
Mine was shipped via ups.
Perhaps that's why I'm suddenly broke again? My scooter came out to a total of four hundred and 18 bucks but I didn't use prime delivery on it.
@@michaezell4607 Walmart has cheaper shipping for scooters.
For $300 that’s pretty good
Right? Thank you for watching
whats that beautiful body of water by your apartments

It's a scooter not a bike I know I get it mixed up to because of the seat and handlebars

I think you can slow down playback on TH-cam, so you might try that. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Why does it cost so FN much to ship ❓.... that's where the sneaky catch is at 👎
I thought they had changed the price to include shipping at one point 🤷♂️ I will tell you that the boxes are large, cumbersome, and HEAVY. That costs money to ship. Depending on where you are (they ship from California, and anything past the Mississippi can be almost twice as much), shipping can be around $150. When I addressed that with them, they had increased the price and gave free shipping. Maybe that changed? Either way, thank you for watching!
Troubleshot and repaired. Happy Now
Oh, great! Glad to hear that.
I've seen you in someone else's comment section lol. Was this worth what you paid + the shipping???
@@lonelymamsie LOL...I'm pretty prolific on social media, so I'm not surprised. You know...worth is dependent on the person you're asking. Something that might be great for me, might not be for you. You know what I mean. That said, the scooter is listed for $219, and with shipping, it's about $380. Yea, I would definitely say it's worth it for that. If this is the form factor and type of ride you're looking for that is. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Failed again, controller burn out. Throwing it away. Recycling battery.@@lonelymamsie
Inexpensive till you see the shipping costs. Then it becomes a expensive scooter. Can we all say Bait n Switch.
Yea, the shipping does make it a bit rough. When I did this review, it was set as free shipping. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
You just opened it..charged...then rode. Tune it next time unless you trust a tired Chinese guy after a long day at the factory. Brakes are important.
Oh, I always go over all of the nuts and bolts. And if brakes need adjustment, I do that too. Always a good way to go. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
Bought one anyway. Failed out of the box.
Oh man….sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, that’s something that happens more often than you think, across all brands in e-bikes, skateboards, and scooters. They should take care of you, but you may have to stay vigilant to make sure they’re on top of it.
