Would it make sense to compare the Clutch and the Flow? For those looking for a river runner to have fun in class 3 and 4, while keeping good stability in rough parts?
Hahah you caught that yeah I had that little bag had food and my phone and wallet in there I actually did not even go to that show to paddle and had that so just tossed it in there should have been behind the seat at least thanks for looking out buddy
Looks like another great new model from Jackson. Wondering how it compares to the Antix 2? Perhaps the objective is a more agile creeker? That bow likely slows it down on the flat, but surfs and skips out well.
From what I’ve seen so far. Makes me wonder if I should have waited before buying my Ripper2. But I’m having fun in my Ripper2. So, I’ll have to just run with what I have.
It's so much different of a boat. Grab one next season and it would probably be a good compliment. Or sell the ripper and get a full slice and this and you've got both ends of the spectrum covered!
Yeah, I really liked Jackson designs. Heck I own 4 of them. But back when I got into them and encouraged my local paddle shop to pick up their line. For some reason, their customer service department went lazy or tits up. Any how, it was so bad that the shop dropped them as a dealer. So now if I want a Jackson boat. I have to drive 2-4 hours in any direction to find one. That is a BIG reason I went with the Ripper 2.
Looks more puffy Steeze/indra side of things vs being a more playful Steeze? Superman has no problem getting it vertical in the promo but looks like that would be hard for us mortals.
@@mikecatura6210 exactly what i thought it’s more in line with the puff and Indra over the actual steeze. And yeah I went back and watched that promo again after paddling it and Dane never was like 100% vert holding it he and all the others were like spinning it fast at 45-60 degrees just like it was doing with me which makes sense with that rocker and volume back there. And none of it was in flat water it was all on big boil lines and massive water lines.
It's 2 475 CAD thats 2 846 after tax....... Compared to similar boats on the market. Waka Steeze 2 420 tax included Dagger Indra 2 478 tax included Prijion Beast 2 593 tax included Zet ninja 2 420 tax included This is substantially more than what's already out there.
interesting? here is what I see from some USA Retailers PRICE JK Clutch 1649.00 Dagger Indra 1649.00 Pyranha ReactR 1699.00 Waka Puff Steeze 1649.00 LL RMX 1299.00 Lettman THP 1600.00
I love jackson boats, but the plastic is just bad ( 2 broken rockstar V, 1 broken antix, all 3 broke parts of the outfitting) 4 out of 4 boats all had issues within 2 years (not all these boats where mine). Great warranty though. this could just be my crews bad luck also.
Thanks for the boat review. How would you compare this boat to the Pyranha Reactr? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? Which boat would you choose for the slalom channel?
Was also thinking it looked like a ripper 2 L which I just got. I can see from this the tail is quite a bit fatter? Hard to buy jackson boats in the UK though, although i love them they're always going to be a lot more expensive than Pyrahna
@@mikecatura6210 the plug and the mold are two different things. The plug is the positive shape of the boat that they create the mold off of. The mold is a negative impression. Unless they ruin the mold somehow they can still make gnarvanas.

Love that black and blue color scheme, might have to get one just for that!
@@mikecatura6210 the color combos on all these are really good..

Yes those actually are very close In my opinion you could almost say the clutch is a party flow
Which one would you take for big water?

@@coldwateronly 🥸🥸
@WadeHarrison looks super fun. Can't wait to watch you get your groove in it.
Can you do a review of the Prijon 2B please ?
What is the 2B
@@WadeHarrison tandem whitewater boat. 😉
Jackson looks really good on you !
Yeah I like the style of this one
Was the clutch stern easier to sink/get vertical compared to a large ripper?
The ripper L was easier
you didn't test how well it stern lounges though! :D :D
Hahah I seen that
What is this stern lounge you speak of)
Good comparison I thought would be the EXO Zion slalom Large. Similar dimensions. Clutch looks nice.
Yeah will see if can get them together at some point
It would be a bummer to catch a shoelace in that non-locking carabiner in our cockpit if you swim
Hahah you caught that

@@WadeHarrison sorry for the annoying comment but I can't help myself
Hi Wade great video. So Antix or Clutch as a next boat for early intermediate learning pretty fast and won’t grow out of quickly? No pressure.😊
Clutch would be a really good option for learning and will never get bored with it.
is the primary stab lose ? I do like the front angle bow🤙
It’s stable just sitting in flat and down river
Looks like another great new model from Jackson. Wondering how it compares to the Antix 2? Perhaps the objective is a more agile creeker? That bow likely slows it down on the flat, but surfs and skips out well.
Very different from the antix2 it’s closer to the flow and gnar with a playful tail than the Antix 2

Ripper 2 HalfSlice creeker
Clutch Creeker HalfSlice
Very different design

A refined puffy that you can 3/4 squirt?
Looks like Zet Ninja, but with more bow rocker.
drastically different from the ninja in my opinion

So basically a refined puffy steeze that you can 3/4 squirt and is easy to demo and buy? Looks like they are gonna sell a s*** ton of these.

Yeah that’s always subjective I have heard same from many brands and have used many brands it’s alot of where and how you paddling more then anything
Thanks for the boat review. How would you compare this boat to the Pyranha Reactr? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? Which boat would you choose for the slalom channel?
Close to the reactr as far as feel on the water but slightly different with that lower volume tail and as for slalom neither to me are suited for that
Was also thinking it looked like a ripper 2 L which I just got. I can see from this the tail is quite a bit fatter?

The ripper 2 L is a perfect 50/50 mix of HalfSlice creeker this is more creeker then half slice 75/25 creeker to HalfSlice
They cut the plug in half from the gnarvana. It’s the same bow with deck lines.
So if they cut the plug in half, does that mean they’re done making the gnar? Didn’t pretty much everyone hate that boat, especially the bow
@@mikecatura6210 the plug and the mold are two different things. The plug is the positive shape of the boat that they create the mold off of. The mold is a negative impression. Unless they ruin the mold somehow they can still make gnarvanas.
Very interesting is this confirmed from Jackson?
I can definitely see it. The bow is like the gnar with deck lines added.
The plug is what used to make the aluminum molds
it’s very common practice to use plugs as a starting point for new models
@@WadeHarrison that was the word from team members. Not going to out who said but it should be valid.
