  • Extremely bright, super versatile, and ultra tough, the Armytek Wizard C2 Pro is one of the very best multi-purpose headlamps and EDC flashlights you can buy... if you aren't afraid of the brand itself.
The Wizard C2 Pro is a right-angle 18650 flashlight with a magnetic charging port and is designed to withstand tons of abuse. This video covers two different models - the 2,500 lumen CREE XHP50.2 model, and the high-CRI Nichia 144AR model.
This light can be purchased direclty from Armytek here (not affiliate links):
    (Nichia - Recommended)

    (Cree - Less recommended)

Though originally I was only supposed to review the Nichia version of the light, I ended up receiving the Cree model instead... twice. Armytek was generous enough to provide all three of these lights for review, and is supportive of this giveaway.
I was not otherwise paid for this review, all opinions and test results are my own.

The durability is fantastic. I love the brightness and the magnetic charging. Your editing, vocal presence and production values are great. I’ll use this light for concert breakdowns, night gardening, night hiking, and home repairs.

    @Asinine_Ocelot 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

As many others have stated the durability seems to be a major high point for this light, I was especially impressed when you smashed it out of the ice with the sledge hammer only to have it turn on immediately afterwords.
This light would be great for doing chores around my house, I live in a rural area and it can be very very dark at night when I might need to go check on/feed the horses.
I really enjoyed this video along with all of your others. Your editing style and presentation gives me a Peter McKinnon vibe and is a huge plus to me. I think the informative voice over and killer B-roll are very engaging, the new shots are great at keeping the viewer hooked.
I've been subscribed since I was pointed to your channel from the Reddit forum. I always look forward to watching your videos when I get the notification, killer work!

    Another great upload from LuxWad!
I can't think of a single video you've uploaded that hasn't blown me away from the camera work, to the editing. It's all top notch. I wouldn't mind seeing a video on the best small but bright headlamps.
I'd definitely strap this thing to my hardhat!
I'm a commercial carpenter. Mostly building towers in the Seattle area or Casinos all around WA so headlamps are a must.
I've been using a Black Diamond Storm 400 for the past few months but it just isn't cutting it. Between the massive AAA consumption (18650>AAA) and the fact it stopped working last week. I wasn't all that impressed.
I've heard great things about ArmyTek. Haven't had a chance to pick one up, but after watching this, I definitely need to!
This thing looks and performs great.
Thanks for all the hardwork you do LUX!
I think the TH-cam algorithm might be broken, this channel should have blown up by now!

    1. I liked the Nichia beam tone, it looks like it gives you a really great view of a decently big area in front of you, the differences on your wall between the Nichia and the Cree were super interesting, I thought I'd have liked the higher power of the Cree, but on balance, the Nichia looked like the better option. Really like the headband too, although I'm not a big fan of stretching rubber bands to fix something, that'll wear out quickly, I fear.
    2. The tail magnet and right angle make it perfect for a work light, sticking it anywhere in the workshop to get a quick and clear view of things can make the difference between a frustrating job and a quick one!
    3. Other people have mentioned the B-roll, it's true, it's great. Fun images and useful demonstrations. The UI explanation was way better than the Armytek manual (I checked it and got really lost, it's almost as if someone's gone through and deleted the odd phrase here and there). Sometimes, your voice could use a little more excitement, it might make it easier to engage with, but that's a really nitpicky comment!

    1) I love how this flashlight is a no compromises design. ArmyTek made the best flashlight they could, period. I also kind of like how it looks.
    2) I'd absolutely use it as a headlamp when working/walking in the dark, but I'd also be interested in using it as a bike light.
    3) Honestly, your videos are too good. The reviews themselves are great because you're one of the few true enthusiast reviewers on TH-cam, but the video quality is amazing. Easily some of the best I've seen. Keep it up, whatever you decide is next.

1: I love the durability (because I accidentally drop stuff off scissor lifts all the time) and the high cri led. Helps with keeping track of certain color wires.
    2. I would be using it for my job (electrician). Using something that durable that I can throw in my truck will definitely need to hold up to abuse
3: honestly the sound/voice quality of your videos is great. I also love that you beat the lights up. Not all lights reviewed do this and it gives me confidence they hold up.

Incredible reviews as always. As a flashlight nerd myself, I love knowing about every little detail. Zebralight needs to step up their game and offer magnetic tailcaps. This would make them the defacto standard for right angle lights.

    1) I really like the combination of formfactor, unprotected 18650 cells and the flood seems very good. The fact that the light can be used as a handheld flashlight as well as a headlamp makes this a desirable light for my use case. Unprotected cells is also a big plus as all my other lights also use this, so I don’t have to bring several types with me.
    2) I plan to mainly use this lamp for hiking and camping.
    3) Your b-roll is awesome! I really enjoy watching the creativity you put into these vids. There really aren’t anything I can think of that you can improve upon.

    1) I really like the Nichia version with it's nicer beam, efficient driver with good runtime and high maximum output when needed. It's a tough light, with a magnetic charger which is very practical.
    2) I tend to clip a small EDC flashlight to my cap as a headlamp whenever I go in my backyard at night, upgrading to a proper headlamp would be great.
    3) Always appreciate your reviews man! Nothing negative to say about anything I've seen so far. Very in depth reviews of the best lights available.

I couldn't make a review this good if my life depended on it. You've got a new sub.
I love ArmyTek lights and have... 5-6 of them. Never had an issue with their lights or ArmyTek as a company.
I used Zebralights back in the day when they were on top of their game (H600w mk2/mk3) and used Skilhunt for a long time (H3, H3SE, H4, H4RC, H4 mini). Skilhunts are easy moddable and magnetic charging is better than on Armytek (no need to unscrew the tailcap), also the UI is better (ability to edit all modes) but sheer power and durability od Armytek is crazy. They also look cool.

    • @LuxWad
      @LuxWad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you liked the review!
I haven't gotten to Skilhunt yet, but I really like their designs and think they make great lights. Zebralight is really awesome and a strong contender to Armytek, both are excellent lights for a lot of uses (and both have a poor reputation for customer service lol)

  • @attila594

I like that it has an emitter i never heard of before, the nichia one.
I dont much care for magnetic charging but it may be useful occasionally.
I will be using it almost exclusively for work as i walk around outside during backshifts. It will be on a hardhat so i will not be using the middle strap. It will be fun seeing my coworkers reactions when they compare my light to the energizer ones work provides us with.
I enjoy watching your videos about hanks lights as i fell down that rabbit hole late last year!

  • @JU-ss5zp
    @JU-ss5zp 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I liked the fact that you compare the two emitter choices of the headlamp. Also, I appreciated that you referenced the skill hunt and zebra light models, even if you were not able to test them, you at least gave your initial thoughts on the differences between those and the army tek. I would mostly use the headlamp for running. So it's a balance between weight and longevity of the light. I do think it's helpful to talk about the cost and use cases of the headlamp, as you did, because some people are budget conscious and use lights for work and for others they are fun toys where cost is not as much an issue. Other videos that are simply rehashing the specs are not compelling.

  • @ssomniloquistt
    @ssomniloquistt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Great video and thanks for the opportunity to chime in!
    1) The rugged durability, potted electronics and choice of emitter stand out to me as the things that I like most about this light. For my uses, all of these would be handy for backcountry canoe excursions, where things gets banged around and often wet. Having the choice between high CRI and high Lumen emitters is great and I would most likely prefer the Nichia, given the choice. As far as dislikes, I agree with your comments regarding the switch and particularly your assessment that a switch at the end of the tube makes the most sense. That point did not occur to me before I heard you mention it but I think it makes perfect sense and will inform any future headlamp purchases for me.
    2) I would plan to use this light or one like it for backcountry canoeing or cross country skiing. Both require the use of my hands and both frequently happen in the evening/nighttime for me (usually more skiing though!). Thus far, I have been relying on a pretty weak AAA headlamp and I feel like 2000 lumens shooting out of my forehead could be a game changer for me.
    3) I really enjoyed the video and your content overall is excellent. You are my favourite flashlight reviewer! High production values, helpful narration and fun themes (any more 80's style videos in the pipe?). If I may offer one suggestion, perhaps having a couple standard bearer lights (Convoy S2 , Maglite or similar) to compare and contrast with the item you are reviewing? Just to give viewers something to compare the item's size, weight, performance with to a known variable. The knife reviewer Nick Shabazz always does this with his Delica/Rat folders and I find it helpful. As for future videos what about a Hanklight comparison? D4V2 versus D4SV2 versus DT8 throw down?
    4) Already subscribed, but liked too :)

That about sums up my thoughts on the matter as well. Great light, but buy it from a dealer.
Early v3 units, before the Nichia model existed had continuous thermal regulation using a sensor. It would overshoot and hunt a bit, so rather than get it right, they switched to a stepdown. As of the release of the Nichia v3, it was just a stepdown to a fixed level, but still triggered by a sensor. I haven't tested a v4.
Not in on the giveaway, though if Armytek wanted to send me a v4 to review (or three, two of which being the wrong version)....

  • @slo_carry

    1) I really like how robust the light seems. Didn't really see anything I didn't like though.
    2) I plan to use this for late night dog walks during the winter to help keep my hands warm, and as a work light the rest of the year. Can particularly see it being useful for car work.
    3) I have no complaints about the video. I like how forward and honest you are with the information rather than dodging things that may shine a negative light on the subject. The "torture" testing was really cool to watch!
Thanks for this opportunity and a great review!!

Love the video! Per the giveaway guidelines:
Really love the form factor of this light, as well as the great quality LEDs. I’m a big fan of 18650s, and have a couple of lights that use them so I’m mostly sticking to lights that take them. I don’t currently have a right angle/headlamp that takes 18650 (just a cheap plastic rechargeable headlamp that leaves a lot to be desired), so the battery life and output is very desirable for a headlamp. Also love the straightforward UI that seems intuitive given my experience with some other lights.
In terms of usage: I’m a cinematographer in the film industry and headlamps are extremely useful on set for a variety of tasks. Often times I find myself needing both hands free plus a light at the same time, and holding a smaller AA style light with my mouth seems like a bad call. In addition I might even be able to use it hidden in a scene or behind the camera for a quick bit of light when setting up a traditional “film style” light would be too time consuming or in the way. Outside of set the model seems like a great headlamp for hiking/camping out in the desert where having the firepower to light up a big area in front of me would be a lifesaver.
I really love the videos you’ve made so far, it’s refreshing to watch your reviews compared to a lot of others on TH-cam. As a cinematographer I have to say I’m very impressed with the production quality you’ve created as a one person team, especially the tabletop/product shots. I really can’t say much in the way of things you’re missing. It would be cool to see your flashlights tested with a color meter to check actual CRI and color temperature/tint vs. what’s listed in the manufacturers specs, but I realize color meters are very expensive and possibly not worth the money just for checking flashlights.
    Keep up the great videos!

Look honestly I like all the reviews I have seen on this channel. Very complete and informative. As for this video, the opening was pretty good, attention getting. But I did like seeing the ice beating. What I like about this light is one its 18650 and in opposition to what you brought up, I like the placement of the switches. Its an Armytek of course its tough. I would use this mostly inside buildings in dark cramp places for work.

I got this flashlight (Nichia) for urban exploration and after a couple months of using it I can say I do not regret this purchase a single bit. It is the first "real" flashlight I ever got. I use it in advanced UI which has become pretty intuitive and I have no complaints. My only issue is that there is no mode for a sustained 450~ ish lumens that the casing can dissipate heat wise, you must always use turbo 1 which will first go through a minute or so of 700 lumen power which is unnecessary load if you don't need it. I ended up using it in Main 3 (250 lumens) most of the time, which is definitely enough light to see clearly, but a little more wouldn't hurt. For filming or taking pictures turbo mode is needed however. I love the wide beam, it lights up the whole area around you. I'm glad I went with a high CRI light because it looks amazing. With it mounted on your head anywhere you look is always bright, super convenient. It pairs incredibly well with my friends' Fenix Tk16 v2, so that both a floody area around you is lit up and you can point the throwy beam wherever in the distance you need to see.
The rubber strap on the clip is definitely necessary. For walking around it's fine but when you're climbing and jumping the impact can occasionally knock it loose without it.
Durability wise it could be better, the coating is chipping off already. Not a big deal anyway.

  • @darkdragon1194
    @darkdragon1194 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    1) I use right angle lights almost exclusively. One of the features I really like about this light is the button placement. Usually the light lives in it's headband 99% of the time, so the user interface really benefits from the Wizard's button placement from an ergonomic perspective.
    2) I plan on using this light for hiking, backpacking, mine exploration, and cave exploration. These are the reasons I almost exclusively use right angle lights since the majority of the time I just need a headlamp, but sometimes I need to aim/use the light in a way that can't be done while using it as a headlamp.
    3) There is nothing I dislike about this video or any of your previous videos. You hit every detail that I love to see on TH-cam videos down to the chapter separation. I haven't found a single other channel pushing this kind of production quality on flashlights and the only gripe I have is that you do not upload more often.
Great video! Keep up the excellent quality of videos! You're phenomenal at it!

Always excited to see a new video from you! To answer the questions: 1. I like the versatility of a detachable headlamp light because I often find myself taking off my headlamp when working in very tight spaces. I also like the high cri version because I work a lot with electronics and the difference in colors between tiny wires is just easier to see. It’s also more pleasant when out for a walk. 2. Most often for dog walking, but specifically for remodeling my basement and working on my vehicle. A headlamp is essential for working in unfinished rooms and in attics, etc. I use the ones I have now almost daily. 3. I love the production quality - the video quality, style etc. But the thing I like most is how you approach every video with a thoughtful script. We come for the video and title effects, but stay for the content in the script. It’s what the best tech reviewers do. As for what else to see? Perhaps some comparisons or deep dives on emitters, etc. 4. Done and done. Thanks again!

    1. This light seems to have a straight forward function to it, and seems to be a favorite of many.
    2. I plan on purchasing (or winning!) a right angle light as an everyday carry, I would keep it on the strap of my backpack.
    3. I thought you had some beautiful shots in this video, all throughout this video actually. You really did seem to put the lights through the ringer, and I thought you where a very well-spoken individual. The review itself must have been a 10/10!

    1) I quite like the magnetic base for a strong mounting point as a worklight and the magnetic charging is quite convenient for when I don't have a li-ion charger on hand.
    2) I would use this light for hiking and when working in the driveway at night, or even walks around the neighborhood in the dark
    3) Production quality and camera work were stellar, and the graphical text elements were useful and non-intrusive

    1) I like the 18650 size and the right angle form factor. Also its nice that there is a high cri emitter available because that is in my opinion preferred on a headlamp.
    2) I live in Finland so its pretty dark through out most of the year so just for I will need a light just for going outside especially during winter. Also for working on cars. I don't own a headlamp yet but I have been thinking about getting one when I have enough money because doing stuff with only one hand is a little hard.
    3) I love your way of doing these reviews with the good quality clips with the voice over about things you like and don't like. I would really like a video about the Noctigon kr1 or k1.

I like the awesome durability of this light. Its nice that don't need to be so careful with it if would accidently drop it for example. I like the option for warmer cree or nichia led's. I don't really like the weight, but i guess thats the price for extreme durability. I would plan to use this light as both an EDC pocket flashlight, and if need hands free, as a headlamp. I think the wide even beam makes it great for most everyday tasks from looking for something behind the couch, to hiking and camping, to using at work. I liked the review, i like how you included torture testing in the video, but didnt waste so much time talking about it, but rather told useful information and thoughts at the same time.

It is heavy, I think it's perfectly fine for extended use but 18650 is pretty much the limit for a headlight imo. Unfortunately I cannot speak to long-term durability, I have only had the lights for about 4 months.

    1) I really like the durability, i had several flashlights that failed from a simple waist height drop and it should not be that way. the interface looks great with enough customization options to make it your own, flood beams are the way to go for me with headlamps so this is a big plus, headband looks solid and the runtimes too, i dont really have a bad thing to say about it tbh maybe 2500lum i a bit too much for the size and that its not 21700 battery for longer runtimes.

1.) I love how rugged it is and the floody beam. Since I go caving often and keep my lights on for many hours runtimes are a big concern for me, so the boost driver is a bonus. I'm a little hesitant to recommend it due to the company but I think this is a strong competitor for Zebralight which is well known among cavers.
2.)I'll wear the light while caving and let others use it. Will happily send you photos of it on someone's head underground slathered in mud. Will also be better for working on my car than any other headlamp I currently own.
3.) Your videography and editing are top notch! I'm picky and can't really find anything I'd critique about your videos.

    1) I love that the light has a Nichia option and that the beaded lens is very floody. I do not like the constant blinking indicator light
    2) I live in Alaska and up here during the deep part of the winter we only get sun 3 hours a day, so this headlamp would be used for outside housework (hauling water, fuel oil, and snow removal) before and after work.
    3) I love the production value of the video. Great camera shots which really sell the light (ArmyTek should be hiring you to do the advertisements). I could have used a comparison beam shot from the closest competitor headlamp.

    1) I really like it. The UI sounds great, I like the idea of having instant access to both turbo and firefly and the beam pattern seems great for a headlamp. I would prefer nichia, since I don't need that many lumens in a headlamp anyway. You've almost convinced me to buy it, but the price is too much for me.
    2) I don't think it would become my edc because of its size, but it would be great for walks at night and potentially some urbex exploring if paired with a throwy handheld, as I used to do, except I don't have a good headlamp.
    3) I came here from your post on r/flashlight without much expectation, but you've positively suprised me. The review has everything a review has to have - testing producer claims, subjective and objective opinion, stepdown graph and so on. The only thing I would change is to make the music quieter when you speak, as it's bit hard to focus on what you are saying (but I've seen worse)

    2) I would plan to use this light on my bike rides at night. It would be an ideal replacement for my old Fenix BT20.
    3) There's nothing I dislike about this video. And I like that the video is purely about the light itself. Just keep doing more great flashlight videos.

Well said. I'm not super familiar with Armytek either but have two of them, one of which is the Wizard C2 Pro Nichia. I love that light. I also noticed that the intelligent temperature regulation doesn't seem to exist but apparently it drops down. I never give it the chance though because it gets REALLY hot REALLY quick. For this price though it far exceeds expectations and the beam and color rendition is gorgeous. I wish the button was replaceable just in case something happened but it still seems nice and I treat my stuff well so I'm not too concerned. When people outside of TH-cam ask for recommendations though I have to say that I like this light but am not too familiar with the brand so I can't make promises as to the quality of their other stuff. I generally recommend other brands that I'm more familiar with just to be safe. Supposedly they got better though and my customer service experience was pretty good but maybe that was pure luck. Aside from the serious heat build-up though, the Wizard C2 Pro Nichia is one of my favorites and is always in my rotation. I set mine to blink even when it is off because it is usually on my nightstand. The instant access to the lowest and highest modes is awesome to. I do wish the charging cable was a bit more solid but it isn't bad. I'm being picky at this point. This light is almost perfect but there is a light for everything and everyone. Now I just need to organize my drawers and shelves full of lights better and I will be all set!

I have a Wizard v2 XM-L2 (warm cr90) that I bought in 2016 which is still going strong. I use it on a daily basis mostly as a headlamp, but sometimes as a general flashlight, and I definitely don't treat it nicely. It's pretty well scuffed up and has a few dents, but has never failed to turn on. The battery from them has held up nicely too. Every time I think I need to charge it, I pop it in my charger and it says 50%, heh. Seriously can't recommend their lights enough.

    1) What you like/do not like about this light
I like the durability of the headlamp, the option of the Nichia LED and the UI! I do not like that it is made by Armytek as sad as that sounds.. as mentioned in the video the poor customer experience and the price where you should offer an excellent customer service are out of proportion.
    2) How you plan to use this light
I plan to use the headlamp for running in the evening / night and on bicycle trips on paths where there is no normal light source available and when I am off my bike.
If the daily usage of it is great I might carry it in my jacket due to the great durability as demonstrated in your video.
    3) What you like/do not like about this video, or anything else you would like to see!
I really enjoy your cinematography, you simply make the best videos when it comes to flashlights (I especially liked the review on the D4SV2). From the music choice, to the way you structure your videos, down to the voiceover and the way you try to always include your personal, unbiased opinion.
I would really like to see a recommendation video where you recommend EDC flashlights based on price segments and personal needs, whilst also including your personal opinion on the optimal configurations or use cases.

    1) There seems to be a lot to like about this light.
-Nichia 144A 4500K seems to be a great neutral high CRI emitter that also has quite a high output
-Solid boost driver with stable outputs
-Tough build quality a class apart from the majority of flashlights on the market
-An excellent headband, which is a weakness of a lot of otherwise good headlamps
    2) I reckon I would use it most for hiking as well as general tasks around the house

    1) The floody high CRI Nichia beam is just awesome. I agree with you that this is the perfect headlamp beam for both in and outdoor usage.
    2) I often work outdoors, so having a reliable headlamp with a great beam pattern is very enticing. Sleeping in a tent, waking up early to go to photo spots. Late evening navigation. Stuff like that :)

    1) Love the great build quality of the Wizard and efficient driver. The headlamp strap is super ugly. They should make an unbranded black one or a colourful option. It would also be nice they introduce a version with a more throwy led/optic like B35am or Xhp35. It can be a little too floody at times forcing you to use it on a higher level.
    2) I would use it as a general use headlamp for camping and working.
    3) Love the music, video quality and review. Could be nice to have a beamshot comparison of competing products like Zebralight H600 or Skilhunt H04 series.
    4) subscribed, thanks for the great videos.

    @TorchHacker 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Wow, awesome video! Love the editing.
    1) What you like/do not like about this light
I like the switch location, magnetic charging and the hard plastic mount for the headband. It's like my Skilhunt H04 Mini RC. The silicone holder for my ZebraLight H600Fc can be bit annoying when taking the headlamp out.
That battery indicator looks annoying. I wonder if they designed it like that with input from cavers...
    2) How you plan to use this light
I'd probably swap in a 50.3 HD with a sliced dome if I won a CREEEE version. My H04 Mini has a tight beam and I would like more flood. I'd just use it around the yard and while walking around a park.
    3) What you like/do not like about this video, or anything else you would like to see!
I love the editing and the transitions that you used for each section. Taking product photos is hard enough. I can't imagine the time, effort and skill it takes to shoot and edit the clips into this review.
You mentioned 540 lumens for Nichia while the graph showed 570 lumens after stepping down. Aside from that, I liked seeing an independently verified "will this survive being frozen in a chunk of ice" test. 😂
Awesome work! Tempted to buy an Armytek (through a reseller). 😅

I think swapping a new emitter into this light would be pretty difficult, you would have to deal with the potting compound. A sliced 50.3 would be awesome in here though!

    (1) The right angle plus the magnet is my go to when working under the hood, provided the magnet is strong enough. Fishing out a lost light with a magnet from somewhere in the depths of the engine bay is not great, especially since I'm likely using a magnetic wand. That said, if the original cause was shutting the hood like an idiot after forgetting to remove the light first, well this would be stupid and I have never done that. (2) As indicated above, vehicle repair is most likely use case. Funny story, while laying under my Tacoma and struggling to replace the concussion-minded skid plate, I dropped one of the four bolts and could not locate it for a half hour. It was stuck to the headlamp's magnet. I called it a day after that. (3) The quality of these videos goes up each time. No pun intended at all but I noticed the lighting in this one seemed very professional.

    1. I like the durability, but for me personally I don't think it's really necessary, I'm not very hard on my lights. I think what I really like about it is the nice wide beam, my current headlamp has a much smaller hotspot, so to see anything in my peripheral vision I have to turn my head
    2. I would use it primarily for camping and hiking. Possibly also for working on cars, not sure if it would be good for that
    3. Your videos are always fantastic, I can't think of anything I don't like about this one. I do appreciate you covering the issues with the manufacturer, I was not aware of any of the prior controversies surrounding them. Hey Lux been waiting for this since the Reddit teaser. Great vid
1.I like the side switch, as opposed to having to button on the top of the light. Its more comfortable for me to actuate fast presses with my thumb rather than index finger. What I don't like is ArmyTeks customer service. Had a wizard pro XHP50 die on me when I was 17 and could never figure out how to fix it/get it warrantied or repaired. Dont remember the details but I kind of just reached a dead end emailing them.
2.I would use this light as an edc and mount it to my belt, or backpack when not in handheld use. It would also be my go to while working on/under my motorcycle. I'm just a big fan of right angle lights as it seems you can get them pointing in the right direction more easily when mounting on magnetic surfaces, or tail standing.
3.I would love to see more in depth info about Anduril 2. I feel as though there are plenty of tutorials on youtube already out there but getting into the details of different firmware, flashing firmware, or modifying your own fork of Anduril 2 could be really educational. You seem to have a good understanding of the topic based on your explanations in Hank reviews. I really liked the Ice block scene. It matched perfectly with the music.

I think USbC is better for being standard and common, but magnetic chargers are more durable and compact, and if you have the cable readily accessible they are very convenient

    1. That proprietary connector is kind of what gets me a little irked. Although it looks like its convenient I’d be a little disappointed if they were the only place I could replace that cable. But at the very least I can just swap out the battery cell so it doesn’t look all that bad. The light itself looks pretty durable and I think the benefit of a right angle is that you can also easily mount it to a pack.
    2. It would make a wonderful flashlight when backpacking/hiking in either head or strap configuration. That’s where I get the most out of my flashlights and it’s always fun to light up a whole forest :)
    3. Honestly the video is great, you are where I go to checkout flashlights since they are all high quality and informative
Also thanks for doing the giveaway!

Yeah the proprietary design is annoying - the design is actually almost identical to the Olight system, but the polarity is reversed so they are not compatible :(
This light is fantastic for forest hiking!

Great review. Would the Skilhunt H300 Nichia be a viable alternative to this, considering the price difference and availability of the Armytek (poor customer service notwithstanding)?

Yeah, I do think it would be a good alternative. IMO Skilhunt lights are among the top 3 headlamp brands alongside Armytek and Zebralight, you can' t go wrong with any of them

    1) I'm not sure how I'd like the offset light on a headlamp because I've never used one like that before.
    2) This light would be killer for hunting, camping, and getting work done in the dark when necessary.
    3) The durability tests were cool to see

Skilhunt H300 just released with the Nichia 144AR emitter. Curious on your thoughts on the H300 vs this Wizard C2 Pro

I haven't used one yet but the H300 is on my short list of headlamps to try out, it looks great. The 144AR should be an awesome addition to that light!

I like this light because it is very durable and it has a extremely nice beam. It is though black, I'd prefer maybe a more interesting colour. Another thing I like is that you have many Accessoires and that it has a efficient driver. Though I don't like the high price if 90 Euros and that there are some problems with Armytek.
I plan to use it as an occasional headlamp. I already have searched for one as I have needed it for my bicycle, but no other lights were perfect for me. Then, I will use it as a bike light or to walk when Im home especially in the winter, when it gets dark early.
I like the parts of your video where you show the beam and explain everything, you have a good script. Also, your cinematic shots look great when no other flashlight reviewer I know does this. You could improve on focusing on a... no, I don't know what you could improve.
At the end, I would like to see a DM1.12 review from you. Thank you very much, greetings from Germany
