    It was my first video in a while, first flashlight review, first video in English, first video with the script, first voiceover. It’s not as good as I intended, but it’s something I finished, so, you can hate it, but it’s mine
    PS: It’s not a flashlight review channel, don’t subscribe

    Amazing review! Thanks for the detailed breakdown of both the light and the company itself

    Props on calling out the company. Do you have an update on them today? Thank you.

      Thanks. I guess, they are ignoring me since I posted the review. I don't think anything changed about the company. But I still use the light, I even took it to 8 days backpacking trip, although it tried to kill a couple of batteries, it still works and I'm pretty happy with it

    Ordered a Wizard Pro Nichia direct from Armytek, 2 weeks later Armytek contacted me and said it was out of stock and recommended another headlamp, I said no I can wait. Then about 3 months later Armytek cancelled my back order but did not issue a refund, took about two months back and forth to get a refund even thou I told them I just want the light and not a refund. So I tried ordering again a few months later, the web site showed it was in stock so I placed an order and had a repeat just like before, so someday I might get one but I will pass for now. Customer service has been terrible for me and I do not even own their products.

    Here I like the Nichia 219 5000k more. Looks more neutral. I dont like rosy tints as I dont like green or blueish tints. A comparison to the newer Armytek Wizard Pro Nichia would be interesting. I think they are mostly the same. The biggest difference is the design.

    Nice review. So what about the batteries? My new Wizard C2 WR came with a flat top unprotected battery and in researching spare batteries to buy, the more expensive and higher mAh capacity ones are all button top protected. Armytek said the light can take either because it has built-in protection, but what batteries would be best if money wasn't an object? And did they skimp in this area to keep competitive?

    Thank you, I appreciate the points you brought up about armytek. I've found their customer service lacking as well.
    How do you find the tint/color of their standard "warm" white, for example on an ELF C2 or a Wizard Pro?
    Thank you.

      Circle It’s the only Armytek light I own. It never crossed my mind to pay for one, but they sent this one for free and asked for a review. It’s good light though, I use it often and I like it, but sometimes it kills the batteries because there is no LVP - it’s the only downside

      @@Gusto20000 I have an elf c2 and it's the best flashlight i've owned so far.
      Your review and the points you touch on, like ergonomics, etc., was very good.
      What are some other brands with similar features but better color/cri than armytek's are there that you could recommend?
      I like L shaped/headlamps and I want good quality color light.
      Thanks.

      Circle I would like to know the answer to your question too )) It’s the problem of the modern marketing and, I guess, the capitalism in general - to race for the number of lumens, but not for the tint. Manufacturers don’t know how to sell tint and CRI, or the customers want to buy lumens, it’s hard to tell, but I realizing now that I swapped LED in every major brand light I own.. Just the Lumintops and Emisars are still with the stock emitters, because they listen to the community and sell neutral white High CRI options. In this video I tried to compare the Wizard with the best lights with best emitters. I use Rofis R1 now with swapped 219C because it’s a small transformer with the best on-board magnetic charger, but I really miss the Anduril firmware. So, to sum up, I guess there is no perfect light for me, still, unfortunately

    Thank your for this review. I have one last question. Does the lamp have an LVP or not? I find different answers on the net. Does your lamp switch off at some point?

    • @Gusto20000
      @Gusto20000  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thank you! Mine is pre-release review sample, so it doesn't have LVP. People who bought the flashlights after the release reported that those have LVP, the same as the other Armytek lights.

      What features make the Lumonite favorable over Armytek? It seems these lights are more expensive but do not offer anything the Armyteks do not.

      I’m sorry, just noticed your comment. It’s called Garmin Virb - it’s free software that can merge your video with gps track. I use fitbit tracker to record my tracks, then download the track from fitbit in GPX format and use Virb to visualize gps data.

      @@Gusto20000 wow awesome thx for the reply and what fitbit model you using?

    • @Gusto20000
      @Gusto20000  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ProEraSwank I use Fitbit Charge 2, but I wouldn’t recommend any fitbit products to anyone! Buy Garmin instead, seriously. I use it because it was a gift, but it’s crap - the quality of the device itself is very bad and the software is the worse! It would be in the garbage years ago, but I want to use every bit out of it, just because I don’t want to produce unnecessary waste

  • @circle4922

    Do you have some material wrapped around the grooves in the body of your flashlights (at 2:58) to protect from scratches of the pocket clip? Or what is that?
    Edit: I guess I got my answer. I thought about doing this same thing. What kind of tape are you using? I thought about some kind of ptfe/teflon, I duno.

    • @Gusto20000
      @Gusto20000  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ptfe would be better. I used GITD tape, as I often do with the lights that have no AUX light or GITD gasket - it’s easier to locate them in the dark. But with the Wizard I used it to protect the body, as you guessed. I removed it recently and excepted the fact it will scratch.

    I am not sure if you mentioned it but wondering if this light has a lockout mode?

    • @Gusto20000

    Are the threads anodized?

    • @Gusto20000
      @Gusto20000  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      13:29 - no, they aren’t, because it has to remain contact when you do a half-turn for charging. There is no need to anodize the threads in this light, the charging wouldn’t work

    How many Nichia wizards are available in a limited edition?

    • @Gusto20000
      @Gusto20000  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess it’s not limited in a traditional meaning of the word, it’s just a first model (modification really) that they made somehow guided by the community request. I think it’s still in stock, I really want to know the sales numbers

    • @fredwymyk6052
      @fredwymyk6052 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Gusto20000thanks, but its not like you write, because usually when people see "limited edition" just think about special limited production. You think different, but it's not true. You know, it's easy and ugly practice from chinesee marketplace.

      Fredo Pachino's I totally agree, it’s not very ethical. I guess, they really didn’t know how would it sell, so they kept the option to drop this model if the sales are bad
