The shad run just started in the mouth of the Connecticut River. It was almost every cast for 2 hours.

Check out Quabin reservoir in Mass. You cant fish the res. but you can fish the tailwaters, they are loaded with smallies and trout.

Its cool that you traveled through Massachusetts, I live there and it has quite good saltwater fishing as well as freshwater. Maybe day I will bump into you on the water. There’s so much to explore up here and so many places to fish. I hope you enjoyed the New England area.
You could use a wagon or an suv for them rods haha, my 07 subaru legacy gives me so much room and space to easily put rods and tackle in.

Dude! I was up in auburn from MD a few years ago and spent a month up there… some great fishing around there… lake auburn has some great bass fishing.. from the shore fish the area at the point of the lake where it inflows from the reservoir the whole way up to the dam of the reservoir.. I was pulling 3-4-5lbers out ever other cast in the spring.. lost a 7-8 … so much great fishing around that area and not a lot of heavy pressure like down here

You should try out the passaic river up near fairlawn in New Jersey. It has good pike, smallmouth, and largemouth. Or swartswood lake in NJ

Come fish near the Western NY region sometime. Tons of great fishing on lake Erie and all it's tributaries. We have some world class salmon and trout runs here. Tons of great bass and walleye/muskie fishing too
