Try giving your dad simple, easy and basic lures that work.... and one where he doesn't need to set the hook with great force. A spinner, a grub, soft plastic on drop shot, split shot soft plastic with tex-posed off set shank worm hook... all these are proven fish catchers that don't require great articulation of the lure OR a strong hook set. Which is pretty critical for older, younger or just noobs to be able to hook up 👊💥🎣😎🤙💯
Just went fishing with my parents for the first time this year. They both do stuff in the morning take a nap and then go out again at like six in the afternoon...gotta do what you can while you can. Someday hope he can go fishing with the grandkids. Only one of my nephews likes to go fishing and hunting really one other one does but he hangs around with his other grandpa mostly he will come over like a couple nights a year.

Yet again another banger 1rod! Just as quick question about Loch Raven: When I go to fish there I seem to get skunked or catch very few fish every time. As someone who doesn’t have nearly as good or nice of hear how do I find or locate the fish without a sonar or fish finder? I seem to have trouble with that a bit. You don’t want to beat the bank this time of year, fish deeper water anywhere from 8 feet of water to 20 feet of water and use finesse plastics and small swimbaits on light gear! Loch Raven is very tricky, but once you figure it out it can be very rewarding 🎣👊
