  • In this quick video, Dan C Bearded discusses beard balm vs beard wax, the differences between them, and which you should choose to style your best beard ever!
Put simply, the difference between beard balm and beard wax comes down to the consistency and benefits of each beard product. Beard balm is meant to provide a medium hold along with some moisturization and comfort. Beard wax is a much more focused styling product, with less health and nourishing benefits.
If you require a rock-solid hold for your beard style that will last all day, go with beard wax. If you require a light hold to control pesky hairs, along with some softening and moisturizing properties, go with beard balm.

Nice to C Dan here! I will definitely check out your products. I am a big fan of lanolin because my beard responds well to it. Nice to see it on your list of ingredients!

Dan is an awesome content creator and we're glad he enjoys our products! (especially the beard oil lol) and yes, Lanolin is definitely one of our ingredients, it's waxiness and flexibility help lock in hydration provided by the oils and butters. Hope you enjoy it and let us know! Thanks for watching

Was confused to see Dan C on a channel that isn't his own. Lol Great content no matter where he is at.

Here's a question, especially after using wax...how do you get your hands clean again after using it?

    • @voltlifeproofgrooming5208

The wax can definitely be tough, but that's exactly what it's for. Typically, washing with a good soap and warm water will do the trick.

Qq, I’m looking to eventually use a beard balm (and eventually a wax after more considerable growth) for my mustache. At how many weeks of growth can I begin to start using either product?

You can start using beard balm right away because it still works as a beard/hair moisturizer and softener. Beard wax, however, you'll want to use once your beard/mustache hairs are long enough to be able to shape or control a little bit. Generally after just 2-3 weeks of growing, I'd say.
