    An awesome watch.
    I got mine one year ago and its running unbelievable perfect.
    Its under 1sec per day +.
    Just about 4sec + per week!
    Just awesome.

    Bought mine (exact same version) in 2015 and still loving it. Gorgeous case, crown and dial. Mine is running slow (20 sec per day) + I quickly had to change the cheapy strap, yet I'd warmly recommend it. Stunning watch for this price range of about €500.

    Got mine 2 months ago. Exact same model. Very happy with it. Gorgeous, shiny, bit old fashioned. Day and date change in one click every night at 23h57 instead of exact midnight but still quite satisfying feature. Swiss beauty for a reasonable price, 520 € in my case. In other videos, they say this 28-36 movement runs a bit fast, like 1 minute too fast every 3 days, well for about a month mine showed this problem then problem stopped. I have NO explanation, but fact is over the last month it's just been perfectly running with accuracy.

      +Astrafalustre how is it going now? Still running fast/slow or all fine now?

    • @astrafalustre8259
      @astrafalustre8259 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It is still running perfectly fine !!! A great watch, I love it. Only flaw is the strap, more exactly the loops which are low quality and fragile (the clasp itself is excellent). Strap will have to be replaced within 6 months, for sure, maybe sooner.

      Astrafalustre Can you please, like Please help me find a good strap. I beg you. I have the watch been 8 months. It's beautiful but think that with a good strap the watch will stand out even better. Plz help

    I can totally recommend it! Tissot is a very good brand with still reasonable prices. I bought this watch for my father in law, but I love it myself and I really think about getting one for myself. Thanks for your great review, Patrick. I agree, this is a beautiful piece. I went to the local department store counter and it stood out by virtue of not trying to stand out - no jewels, exaggerated numbers or chunky angles, just classic design. I have one question, which I hope you don't mind answering on a 6 year old video. I've read a few comments that the sapphire glass is highly reflective and, combined with the black face, the hands can be hard to see, particularly in direct light. Did you (or your father-in-law) have any trouble seeing the face and its details?

    • @PatricksTechReviews
      @PatricksTechReviews  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From the few days I had it with me before presenting it to my father in law I could see that it was kind of reflective due to the domed glass, but in the end it’s just a matter of turning the wrist a bit or turning yourself out of the light situation.

    • @gs8204
      @gs8204 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PatricksTechReviews Thanks for your reply, Patrick! I went back, tried it on and decided it was too reflective for my tastes, but this is entirely subjective and no reason for someone not to love this watch, or just apply an easy fix as you suggest. This is a beautiful piece.

    Hi Patrick. Thanks for your time. I bought mine watch from a reputed although gray market store. There is no reason to think it is a replica, but when I saw that extra space between the letters T and E in the word water, I got a little suspicious. Fortunately, yours looks exactly the same in this and all other details I could check (by the way, have you noticed the extra space I am talking about in yours?) I am enjoying the watch now. Thanks again.

      @PatricksTechReviews  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will be able to change the strap, but you need watchmakers tools. They aren't expensive, but you need to know what to do and be careful not to scratch the case of the watch.

    • @PatricksTechReviews
      @PatricksTechReviews  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Yatin Dalvi wow, nice to hear that the review made you purchase one. In regards to the date change, I would maybe see if it adjusts over time (try a week and monitor it). Otherwise check with a Seiko watchmaker or shop to see if there is something wrong with it (which I doubt, as Seiko are usually strong and work very well). One more tip, never change the date when the hour and minute hand are between like 10pm and 2am, as this could cause some damage to the movement. Always move the hour and minute hand towards the 3-9 o'clock position. Good luck.

    Can i ask, how about the time accuracy? some comment bellow said 10 until 15 seconds a day to adjust? thanks

    • @SH1974
      @SH1974 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dicky Arghabi I own one of them since a few years. Got 2 other automatic swiss watches (also with ETA movement) and this one is the most accurate of those 3. It runs a bit too fast (about 1 minute per week) so I adjust it about once in a month.
      If You want a truly accurate watch, spare for a cronograph (best one of those with tourbillon...)or (even more accurate and way less expensive) buy a Quarz clocked watch - or simply read the precise time from Your mobile phone... ;)

    other models of tissot are powermatic 80 ,instead of normal automatic. So it has an 80 hour power reserve. Is that really necessary ? or does the one withouth a power reserve (so this one) works properly after let's say....... 10 hours of sleep ,and lying there untouched for 10 hours ? Or do i have to set the time everytime i wake up ?

    • @PatricksTechReviews
      @PatricksTechReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually the power reserve on automatic watches lasts anything from 38-48 hours when fully wound. So, if you only have 1x automatic watch that you only take off when sleeping it will be just fine and still run in the morning. But if you are a watch lover and have a collection of automatics you will have to set them if you don't make use of a watch winder.

    • @PatricksTechReviews
      @PatricksTechReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it is not, it's a classic mechanical movement that needs to be taken care of. I would bring it to a watchmaker if I was you to make sure all is still where it belongs. But again, depends on how thick the carpet was it fell on. Good luck.

    I've seen so many variations of the engravings on the back cover that I don't know if it's reliable enough as a litmus test to see if it is a genuine watch. I just ordered my watch from a reseller on Amazon. All this discussion about authenticity has got me really worried and I hope the watch that is due to arrive after Christmas won't have any problems. I might have to take it to Swatch Group to assess its authenticity. :/

      This one is 100% real, it was bought in Dubai Mall at the Rivoli store, the certified distributor for Tissot in the UAE.

      I'm also thinking to buy from a reseller on Amazon. Could you please tell us more the authenticity of your watch?

    • @mahlerianvidz
      @mahlerianvidz 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I've been using the watch more than a month now and I have extensively compared the watch to pictures of fakes and authentic visodate. I can say that there is nothing that can make me believe that the watch I bought is not authentic. It even comes with the tissot warranty card only that it is not duly filled. The warranty you get is third party by the shop you bought the watch from. I have kept all documents relating to the purchase in the event in future I send it to the agent for servicing and they tell me is a fake which is very highly unlikely. Frankly Amazon is very strict about resellers dealing with counterfeit so don't worry too much. Hope this helps.

    I mean there are "SWISS MADE" in all Tissot watches but here in some (not all) versions of Tissot Visodate this writing is missing. Also "1853" is missing in Tissot Visodate.
    I like watches where writtens "SWISS MADE" and "1853" are available.
    I would like to buy most beatiful classic Tissot watch. But I did not find a beatiful one so far.

    • @SH1974
      @SH1974 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Fozil Sohibov "SWISS MADE" is written on the left and right side of the 6 mark at the bottom on the face. The writing is very small, (like on the most swiss watches) and is almost invisible because of the phased glass edge.
      But it is there, You just have to glimpse carefully enough...
      I love this watch. And it has one big advantage: compared to other beautiful swiss watches, it is not soo expensive.

      +SH1974 Yes, all is perfect. I have purchased this watch in Milan, Italy on 25 July 2015. Price everywhere in Germany as well in Italy was 495 EUR. In Milan only one shop give me discount and I ought it for 450 EUR. I also got 54 EUR tax refund. So in total this watch cost me 396 EUR. Very good price and watch is very good too. I liked it and wearing it now.
      Thank you!

    I do realize that this may be hard to believe, however, in April of 2017, I just purchased a $50.00 bracelet from Harrods online and they accidently sent me this exact model instead...
    *It is 100% authentic yet wasn't what I ordered at all so they simply told me to just keep it, their mistake --- And only $50.00 spent. I Never even wanted a watch, so I feel like I've just won the lottery. So far I'm very happy with it, and it's classic simplicity, class and quality.

    you should never have to pay full retail price for a watch. instead of buying from tissue's online store or a department store, if you google for authorized dealers such as small family owned stores, you can talk to them to get a better price. The ADs are not allowed by manufacturers to advertise prices lower than the MRP but they can give you 20 to 30 percent discount if you ask. Most of them will ship out of state too which means no sales tax because it is going out of state.

    • @alkgaming8088
      @alkgaming8088 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like which websites can you email and get 20 to 30% off of? I ordered a watch off of Watches88.com. It's a small family owned business in Malaysia with authentic watches. Would a website like that give you a discount if you asked?

    • @foodie1986
      @foodie1986 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      i don't think the website you mentioned would give a discount because they seem to provide online shopping.My experience is with ADs here in the USA who do not have an online shopping portal available and therefore will give discounts if you email them about getting something shipped. I would suggest looking up www.watchuseek.com which is a forum for watch collectors and buyers. I found my AD there and since it is a worldwide community, you might get lucky with someone who knows an AD in Malaysia willing to give a discount. Good luck.

    • @alkgaming8088
      @alkgaming8088 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tseten Dekhang Oh I see, you're talking about authorized dealers with physical stores that don't have online shopping. I don't live in malaysia I've just bought a watch off of that website.

    • @foodie1986
      @foodie1986 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Might I suggest looking up the list of authorized dealers for Tissot on their website which shows a list for Malaysia. It might be best to visit the stores or call them and shop around to get a feel for what is the best price they can do. Never settle for the MSRP.

    • @alkgaming8088
