it took me and my friend weeks if not longer to practice everything this very difficult level throws at you. In the end we were perfect at it, If I played it today id likely fail about half way round if not sooner. Might have to pop it in my dreamcast!

Do you know how many times I've lost races to hitting a jump and just falling as I landed. Is this mechanic taught anywhere in the game or manual? I have scoured everything to learn how to fix this issue but found nothing and just though I wasn't supposed to do tricks while racing.
I'm unsure if the mechanic is taught anywhere, but I think I remember reading it on a random guide or message board for the game when I was a kid. Though I have no idea what causes the fall as you land to begin with, sadly.

how do you not fall from such big jumps wherever i play he always falls after even the smallest jumps
The trick is to hit the right trigger as you land!
For example the ludge and drill ?
