I have an OPDate, ref 1500 cal 1570 from around 1965. It’s my daily wear. And last service about 12 yrs ago. During the 12 yrs it have averaged 1”/day. So, at daylight saving time I set it about 2 min behind. 7 months later it’s about 2 min ahead. I don’t set or wind it, from March to November, and I let the calendar be wrong.
The DJ with a silver dial is such a classic. Perfectly proportioned and still looking good 50 years after it was first released. I'm certain with a service and maybe the odd jewel or spindle replacement, this watch would be running like new again, but a second a day is pretty amazing already!
not knowing when it this rolex was previously serviced or ever serviced at all previously means this video is not meaningful at all , we can only deem rolex is very accurate if we can be sure this watch has never ever been serviced at all.
Want do know how water damages your watch? Watch the video here: th-cam.com/video/ehq6k2j9hp0/w-d-xo.html
Very informative and interesting! Thanks for the lesson in timegrapher positioning.
Glad it was helpful!
If it's running this good, it probably isn't worth spending $800-1000 in a service.......keep it going

Correct, a datejust in all but name. For some reason all the 34mm sized were called date by Rolex.
Is there a chance that if you service your watch, the beat error would increase ?
You might want to try a quartz
Very Beautiful watch my friend. How much did you spend on her?
