I can vouch for the Tekton warranty. Albeit on only one item. I broke a chrome socket reducer trying to remove an oil gally pipe plug. I went on the website, submitted a photo, and literally two days later there was a new one in the mail box. I live in North Dakota by the way. Two days. Other than that, I haven't broken any of my Tekton stuff.
I can vouch, broke a 1/4 long extention..( I was abusing it ....snap on would have broken also) sent a photo...3 days later I got not just a replacement 1/4 long but the ENTIRE SET I originally bought....1/4 short, mid, long 3/8 Sam length AND 1/2 same size...never broken another thing and it's all my box is full of.
I've started to slowly replace my mismatched tools (mixture of HF, old Craftsman etc) with Tekton (chrome/impact sockets, wrenches, etc) and have absolutely no issues. The quality is top-notch, the chrome is bright, laser marking is easy to read, ratcheting mechanisms are smooth as butter. I look forward to years of service from these tools.
I only have one tekton socket set. Compared to other companies they were the only affordable brand selling FULL channel 12 points. Which I have found very useful. No catches and hang ups when taking fasteners out in odd ball places. People knock 12 point, but it is more versatile and saves a lot of hand pain and frustration when dealing with tight areas.
Hell yea Tekton is still relevant and bringing out new products alot of which are made in the USA. They are a great American company to support. TH-cam hype isn't necessary. I do wish that they were avaliable in more brick & mortar stores like Lowes and Home Depot since they both sell them online, mostly because it's nice to get a hands on feel before buying stuff some times. Their website buying experience and customer service is flawless though. I spent a bunch with Tekton in 2023
On the Tekton Ratchets, They have also done the 1/4" ratchet conversion to 3/8" (Slim head) like Koken. These are great for the 3/8 socket/ Torx/hex bits. If you have a spare 1/4 ratchet, you can order the 3/8 gear for it and make a swap. They also have a good assortment of Torx, E Torx, Hex and Triple square if you work on German car or Motorcycles.
Or like me zeroturns and miniskidsteer s...been lolkong for good set of tools .problem is always the case ..no one ever has decent ones..they do..at least have options..need tools on the the pick ups and home for buisness..
Most of my wrenches and sockets are Tekton and they are great. I used them for two years in high end speed shop before moving to custom garage. 🤘🏼🔧 👍🏼💯
Tekton stubby ratchets are definitely smoother than Icon stubby ratchets. The 3 inch 3/8 stubby in a 1/4 inch body is super nice. I also tried the modular wrench storage slots and love them. Ended up ordering 80 piece black and 80 piece red.
I never used or heard of Tekton before 3 years ago. Started at a new shop a few guys had Tekton. After trying some of their stuff I gave them a shot. Now I have a huge amount of Tekton and they are great. Warranty is great. Broke a breaker bar and it was easy to get a replacement. Like u said u send them a pic of broken tool and I had new one the next day. I’m a field mechanic and use my tools daily and I definitely recommend them
I started a job needing my own tools a year ago and went with 80% tekton. Holding up great. The only reason I went with them for impact sets, was it still seems they offer the biggest and most complete no skip sets.
I have their 4 way wrenches. best wrenches I’ve ever owned. I will go to war over their tools, if I were to start over I’d save the headache and wallet and just buy everything Tekton. Hands down one of the best tools and tool company!
I don't have a huge amount of Tekton but I do like what I have very much. Screw driver set, several impact socket sets, a couple of ratchets, a few pliers, a nice complete bit kit in a nice case and a few other odd & ends. No chrome sockets as I don't need any. When I do add tools, I now check them out first if I don't need it immediately. Thankfully I can't comment on warranty as I haven't needed it.
My local Rural King store has a decent selection of Tekton but, it IS smaller than it used to be. I've bought several sets there and I'm happy with them. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Tekton started out (years ago) as Michigan Industrial Tool (M.I.T.). If so, I bought a 3/4" drive M.I.T. socket set back in the early 1990s and still use it pretty regularly to this day.
I love TEKTON and did a lot of research before choosing them . I bought a lot at one time because the reviews were so good and very pleased with all of it.
I just received their mini pry bar set. A 30° and 50° angle, 1/4 bar stock with the smaller screwdriver handle. Beefy is a understatement. Well worth the 15.00 and American made.
Thanks for the Dreo budget heater recommendation. I got one for a family member who is not all there from brain damage. The control lock is what we needed. Small but as good or better than a full size tower unit. Just ordered one for me. Extendable warranty a plus.
I just thought I would throw out a correction for you. They’re split beam torque wrenches seem to be a lot better than the ones they had previously that were OEM from someone else the type that everybody was using at one point and they do have non-quick release ratchets.
I can confirm the split beam torque wrenches are very nice quality tools. I purchased one of these for accurate torquing of workholding for thin walled components on one of our ID grinders last year, it’s been used 1000’s of times over the past year and performs excellently.
Big fan of Tekton, bought a lot of their tools since finding them through you about 2 years ago. Last purchase was the 3/4" drive 40" breaker bar to use on my flat bed trailer as lug nut torque spec is 275-325 lb ft 😮 I have to give a shout out to their online chat support too, they answer any question, and take recommendations for new tools they don't make (ask for half moon wrenches if anyone chats with them😊)
I bought some (first time) tools from Tekton about 2 years ago: screw drivers and pliers sets. The smallest flat head chipped on me and I reached out to Tekton via website and within about a week, I had the replacement. My disappointment comes with the pliers, seems as though they have garnered surface rust just sitting in my tool box. Not something that all of my much older other named stuff does, but it does not render them useless.
I have a pretty good amount of Tekton, started buying maybe 4 years ago, have the ratchet sets, combination wrench sets, punches, cutters and pliers, buy a few tools every month or two just to keep adding to the bench, haven't disliked any of them and love most of them. Haven't managed to break any yet.
I love their ratchet design. Wish they had a locking flex head. But I prefer the button release on the back. I am using them to fill out my 1/2 sockets to 36mm. I buy their socket only sets from 10 to 38 mm. Wish I had their tool boxes.
I love the screwdrivers, nut drivers, mini pry bars, and picks! I also have a few sets of the 6 point ratcheting wrenches, which seem to be discontinued. They have been great too. Hope, I am able to warranty them.
I bought all 3 socket sets and their roll wrench sets to keep on my semi truck about two years ago per your recommendation and I absolutely love all of them. They get abused and used with impacts and still no issues at all. Great tools
I bought the same and metric I believe to 24mm the mid size wrench sets,I want to buy the roll up pouches and extend it to the full large set,, it was a $115 dollar Amazon deal before I even knew about the website..
I’ve also been a big fan of Tekton for the past 4 years now, I wanted to add some more information on the Rousseau boxes. Rousseau calls this range of boxes the ‘Model R’ box. On their site they have a configurator that allows you to spec out custom boxes including the specific height, width and depth, number of and size of drawers, drawer layout and then a multitude of other features like type of lock, one drawer at a time system, drawer dividers and so on. Rousseau also offers a fairly broad color pallet. It took me a while to find a distributor who would work up a quote for me but when I did I was surprised to find the pricing of the box I configured was several hundred $ less (including shipping and all taxes) than the most expensive Tekton box despite the fact that the box I configured is the same width but even taller, will be built to order, has the exact drawer sizes and layout I chose and the color I wanted. I will say a couple of advantages to the Tekton, residential lift gate shipping at no extra charge is a huge selling point, I will be getting mine delivered to work anyway so not a concern… also lead time on the custom Rousseau is 8-10 weeks, I don’t mind waiting but if I needed it sooner the Tektons are stocked and ready to go. The 2 things I wish we’d see from Tekton in the future: top chests and/or hutches for the boxes - I’m not sure what the likelihood of this is as Rousseau don’t seem to offer top chests, they do offer hutches but I believe they are serious $$$$, I plan to have my distributor quote a hutch for future reference. Secondly, I’d love to see more foam organizers be available for the sockets, wrenches and screwdrivers, I’m currently using their rebranded Ernst socket rails which I seem to have a love/hate relationship with depending on the day.
My first Tekton purchase was last year, and I was super impressed with the whole transaction. I live in Ohio so real close to MI, and I received my tools next day, customer service has been awesome, and the tools have been great. I'm a big Tekton fan now.
As an owner of tool truck tools, harbor freight, home depot, etc... tekton has THE BEST warranty, hands down, no questions asked. It takes maybe 4 min to do the warranty claim and things arrive the next day. I've only had to warranty two things out of 4+ years of owning them in a shop.
I absolutely love my Tekton tools. ALL of my sockets are from them, impacts and chromes, as well as a large portion of my ratchets anf my breaker bars and I cant say enough about their quality. I used to be dealership tech and I have yet to break any of them. Their oil filter pliers are my absolute favorites but I dont think they make them anymore.
Jeff -- Thanks for the update on what's going on with Tekton. It's good to see a company with so many USA made tools doing well. Toward the end of the video, you compared several Tekton-made pliers with pliers made by other brands. This prompted a desire to see a comparison among the pliers sold by Harbor Freight. I'd like to expand/upgrade my pliers collection; and it would be helpful to know when its worth splurging on Icon, Doyle is more than good enough, Quinn will do, and whether you should ever buy Pittsburg. Please feel free to ignore this video suggestion. But, I'm sure it would go viral!
I really like all of my TEKTON purchases. I have several (about 25) of their sockets, two ratchets (1/4" & 3/8"), a 1/2" breaker bar, and their long-reach razor scraper. I'm a retired marine mechanic that is just a DIY guy today, but TEKTON has impressed me. And I really like the no BS warranty.
@@prophet-9454 It has been solid. I have not jumped up and down on it to remove frozen lug nuts, but I have used a cheater pipe on it to remove a frozen lawnmower spindle.
They are one of the very few tool companies left that are still doing things right. They don't require a purchase receipt. They don't care if you're the original owner or the 10th owner, and they dont care if you broke something by misusing it. You could've found it broken and rusted on the side of the road, and they will have you a new one in 2 or 3 days. That shows that they stand behind the tool itself, not just the original purchaser of the tool. I had a split beam torque wrench that had broken 2 years after I had purchased it. It had broken internally from me tossing it around, being careless, and dropping it too much at work. I made a warranty claim on their website, but you could not see the issue in the photograph because it was internal. I offered them a video if they wanted one, but they declined. They just took my word for it and I had a new split beam torque wrench at my door 2 days later. You couldn't even see how the item was broken in the photo because it was internally damaged. I just took a single photo of the torque wrench and told them the issue was internal. They warrantied it with no questions asked!! I can only think of about 2 or 3 tool companies who have a lifetime warranty on torque wrenches and only a handful of companies who will warranty a tool without proof of purchase. Tekton keeps growing and continues to innovate their product line. They are making more and more usa made tools and have a warranty that is 2nd to none. I buy tekton tools when I can and will continue to do so, and am happy to be a long time customer!!
I've started getting their stuff this year, with the full-on 1/2in Impact Set and a set of their three-size Ratchets. They are phenomenally hefty and the ratchets mechanisms are buttery smooth. Showed them to my neighbor, who was a big mechanic in California back in the Golden Age who, while downsized, still has a garage full of old-school Cornwell, Snap-On, Made In USA Craftsman and Crescent, he's seen everything and he seems quite impressed with their stuff so far. As for their stuff thats so far made in America: Pretty much all of their Crowfoot Wrenches, all of their tool organizers, Deadblow Hammers, drivers, picks, prybars, Angled-Head Wrenches, chisels and punches, and a lot of their pliers. Probably more, but thats what I remember off the top of my head. Which, on that note, I applaud them simply for the fact they plainly state country of origin on their items, no matter where it's from. Thats so rare that honestly they should be elevated just for that alone. Considering how fairly priced they are (even though they have been raising their prices, it's still more than reasonable), non-stop talk of their stellar warranty, their plain and honest transparency, and most importantly their commitment to bringing back manufacturing to America, I'll definitely be getting more. They're good people.
Im a somewhat regular customer of Tekton. Always perusing their website when i need something new. Not disappointed yet with any purchase...just opened a screwdriver set today that I purchased Monday!!!
I’m the guy Jeff is helping with the warranty claim on a Canada made hand tool with “lifetime warranty”, I don’t think they are going to honor it, but I appreciate your help tremendously, at least to validate that I’m not crazy 😂
I also wanted the foam inserts for the socket sets I have already purchased. They said not at this time, but I hope they decide to at the very least allow sales to people who have already invested in the products. So far I am liking the wrench sets.
I discovered Tekton about 7-8 years ago. Since then, I have purchased several of their tools and never had a problem. Really good value given their quality and price.
I work in a heavy duty diesel mechanic dealership and I have there sockets extension ratchets swivel adapters and wrenches there dope and the warranty is just as good as tye truck
Last year I bought their 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 inch 6 and 12 point socket sets and their 3/8 & 1/2 6 point impact socket sets and I will say they are of the highest quality and the best I have ever worked with and I have been a Craftsman fan all my life up until they stopped manufacturing in the USA. I buy Tekton now.
Here's my Teckton story Somehow, I had a pair of their pliers in my toolbox but they had an issue with the nut that holds the 2 main pieces together. I had no idea about the warranty until I heard you talk about it on a video. I took pics, sent them in, and a few days later a brand new pair of pliers showed up at my house. No BS, no crying or trying to get out of it. Every since, these pliers are my absolute go to pliers. They are the 8 inch you showed in this video. When ever I have a job that I by G want to hold onto something, you know what I mean, these are the ones I hunt down in my shop and find. Every time. So, in the future, if I have a chance to buy this companies product, if it's reasonable.... well, it'll be a no brainer. Even over HF.
Just bought the everybit tech rescue kit and both 1/4 inch bit sets (all in great cases) last week. Delivered in 4 days. (I’m in Reno). Can’t say enough good things about them.
Good video Bear. Can you do a video on what the heck happened to Mag-Lite? They still exist, but disappeared off from the shelves of Fleet Farm, Ace and Menards almost all at the same time.
Tekton really needs impact swivel sockets, bit sockets need Torx Plus, XZR, and RBT styles. Their rolling cabinets are really nice but could definitely use heavier duty casters to carry the weight the structure is capable of.
I work at semi dealership in Grand Rapids Michigan and we just started to get a tekton truck to stop out at the shop and they are great tools for the price and the warranty
I'm buying all the tools for a new company that starts in the near future. Purchased both metric and standard master sets from Tekton. So, they're still on the top of my list. Paid about 130 , and150 for each set. I know they'll do the job.
I am moving all my old Craftsman socket sets into the truck and buying Tekton socket sets for the garage. I just need 6 point no skip sockets at a fair price. Tekton for me is a tool that just works but nothing flashy or trendy.
My goodness....Tekton is now better than ever.Have you seen their new long pattern double box ratcheting wrenches?....Freakin home run. They continue to add new tools to the lineup, and some like the new ratcheting wrenches are nothing short of fantastic..
I’m very tempted to get a couple individual larger size angle wrenches for hydraulic fittings. Combination wrenches work for the most part but you always seem to need the angled offset for clearance. And adjustable wrenches work well too… if you have the clearance which is getting less common on modern machines. Very tempted to pick up a few select size wrenches.
That was a really good video. I really like some of there tools. I would like to see you do a video on gearwrench tools. I would like to know what you think of gearwrench tools.
About a year ago I was very interested in the extra long double box ratchet set. Out of stock for a long time. I did see them just recently and it changed from a 6 pt box to 12 pt . Idk... maybe I will get them
Been using Tekton sockets and wrenches for three years as a diesel mechanic. I’m not easy on them and nothing has broken or worn out. Definitely recommend.
I recently got some of their pocket pry bars and multi bit screwdrivers and they’re affordable and the handles feel great! Tekton has some very decent tools and also fast shipping!
I have really like all my tools I've gotten from tekton. I really like there sockets chromes and impacts got completed sets of both never had an issue with any of them. I like there wrench's and screwdrivers as well. One thing I think would make them stand out above all the other brands would be to make a complete line of semi deep/ mid lengths sockets in all three drives sizes chrome and impacts.i know there's a few companies that make some already but not compete sets in all drives and chromes and impacts. I'm pretty sure snap on is the only company doing mid lengths sockets in half inch drives.
I regularly buy things from them. Thank you for the reference years ago. I've been satisfied with everything BUT their locking pliers. Maybe they are better now, but Bremen from HF was better for the money by a good margin.
The U.S. made Tekton pliers and prybars are rebranded Wilde. American made in Kansas. Also, lifetime warranty. They rebrand for a lot of companies. In come cases even Snap On.
My work truck is full of Tekton hand tools. I really like that the sets dont skip sizes, working in the field all the time, if its not on my truck I cant make money.
I have what were, at the time, all of their chrome 1/4 and 3/8 drive 6 point sockets, with their locking socket trays, and they are a pleasure to use. Fit great, easy to read, and still perfect after years of use. I''ve warranteed a couple of tools with them, and the first time I was wondering if it could be that easy. Yep. If I were a professional mechanic, I'd think about getting 2 of all the stuff I might break (like impact sockets) from Tekton, which would cost less than 1 of the same from Snap-On. Then anytime I broke something, I'd warrantee it and use the other one. No need to even go to a store.
Maybe I'm just falling prey to marketing but, when recently shopping reversible ratcheting combo wrenches, I was a little surprised that Tekton didn't have any options with open ends that have extra grip features - just straight sides. I ended up with Icons, instead (though I did get Tekton's 3/8" split beam torque wrench, which I love).
@@chriscalderin6677 understood, that's why many manufacturers offer both options. Meanwhile, I'm not working on aircraft, I'm working on a vehicle that sees harsh winters.
Im an industrial mechanic and the majority of my hand tools are Tekton I beat the snot out of them and they havent let me down. I noticed my 3/8 drive ratchet was starting to wear out. I sent a pic off to Tekton and a couple days later i recieved a rebuild kit in the mail. They responded to my warranty claim within about 15 min of submitting it and a half hour later got another email saying the rebuild kit had shipped, awesome company and awesome warranty.
Their 3/8 socket set is far and away my favorite socket set. Now with the stacking solution? AND their incredibly easy warranty process. They are still my primary sockets and wrenches.
Tekton is what's in my drawers! I try to buy only buy their USA made tools, but their Taiwanese made tools are great too. Warranty and their cash back program are great.
What got me initially into Tekton because of my OCD. No skip sets were offered by them at a reasonable price then seeing the reviews online from TH-cam, one of them being the Den of Tools. I was sold after getting my first set.
The crowfoot wrenches, angle wrenches, and hammers are all very reasonably priced for USA. Made tools. I’ve been happy with everything that I’ve ordered from them.
I picked up some items during the Black Friday thru Christmas sales of discontinued items. I overall really appreciate Tekton products, warranty and quality. Yeah, they ain't cheap - but for what I do they've been top notch.
I'm glad to finally hear somebody mention the DRAWERS of a toolbox. I'll take a smaller toolbox with nice tight heavy feel drawers and some shelving (something that you feel like you can put some weight on) over a big one that wobbles ANY day
I have paws on Tekton. Got some sockets a while back. The wrench really reminds me of a high end Craftsman. Whishing I would have bought them from Tekton directly to get the 10% cash back. Just purchased larger set of SAE and Metric ratcheting box end. Not used them yet. Seam really nice. Tekton sells rachets with out quick release now. I have not tried them. I like the quick release.
I have moved 100% to Tekton a few years ago. I bought my son for Christmas a full set of Tekton impact sockets last month. Tekton sponsored Goonzquad on TH-cam big time. FYI, I just bought a 73x25 ICON tool chest. It's being delivered next week!
@denoftools It is Black. I prefer a darker Blue, like Navy Blue, but their blue is more of a bright or slightly florescent blue. Not my choice for blue. Black goes with everything. I wish HF offered more colors. Thank you for asking Mr. Grizzly .
Their 6 point ratchet wrenches are every bit as good as my snap on set. The tekton sets I bought a few years ago were right around 100 bucks per set that’s a quarter the price of what I paid for my snap on sets.
When they were being sold at Meijer, I tried to make a concerted effort to buy from them first before going to HF or the like. Managed to get a bunch of their stuff on clearance before Meijer switched to stocking Stanley only.
Those storage cases are huge and yet they don’t market them for whatever reason. That whole solution you mentioned is massively underrated, and no one else is making anything like it . Tons of mechanics would like a mobile solution, but all mobile solutions are geared more towards construction. Mechanics, or anybody with handtools is sort of an afterthought.
Honestly i still love tekton but some of thier issues i dont like is replacing one type of tool will and inferior one. Like all the long double end wrenches used to be 6 point now they are 12 point. The also discontinued the shorter set of those wrenches with no replacement. Big bummer.
I just got a 36" wide toolbox and a bunch of tools from them last month. I only wish they had a 1-9/16" to 2" impact socket set to expand on my existing 5/16" to 1-1/2" set. They only way to get sockets up to 2" right now is to buy a complete ratchet and breaker bar set but I don't need the duplicate large sockets.
I broke a Tekton Ratchet yesterday and submitted a warranty claim yesterday. THE NEW RATCHET CAME UPS TODAY.! Less than a day! Awesome company.
Same here my 3/8 ratchet had major back drag no problems sent a new one. When you call they are very polite as wel
Broke a hammer. Took a pic and sent an email with my address. Got a new hammer in the mail a week later. That was three years ago
I haven't bought their tools. Does this warranty service apply buying their tools on Amazon? I don't have any retailers that carry them.
@mariodiy4517 yes they back the name the sons took over the company and are expanding the tool line and quality
They make solid tools at an affordable price with a solid warranty. They just don't need to be in the news.
I love their no skip sets and a great company to order from. I haven't broken anything yet.
Same. I Like the buy once and have a full set
bingo! same here
I don't have impact socket 😂 and they still 100% good
I broke a pick. My fault acting like a gorilla, no questions asked replaced it
I love my tekton ratchets, pliers and those USA made crowsfoot! That 10% back with purchase is awesome.
I love 12 point.
I have used the warranty program, got a replacement in the mail days later

For me, there is a farm store in my area that sells them.
I agree some farm stores do sell some stuff I'm in Michigan also Meijer stores used to sell them and they don't anymore

Im torn between tekton or gearwrench mechanics sets..? What would you get or both
Most of my wrenches and sockets are Tekton and they are great.
I don't have a huge amount of Tekton but I do like what I have very much.
Mike, you are correct, and long time friend used to use MIT as supply source, and I actually still have some MIT stuff from the 1990's👍
Well, shit. Now I know what that stands for on my father in laws wrench set. Lol.
Same with tractor supply and farm and fleet and Meijer all 3 stores don't sell them anymore
I have some old impact sockets from the 90s used hard and still in my truck
Rural king has them ? Never seen that befire guna call them
I love TEKTON and did a lot of research before choosing them . I bought a lot at one time because the reviews were so good and very pleased with all of it.
I just received their mini pry bar set. A 30° and 50° angle, 1/4 bar stock with the smaller screwdriver handle. Beefy is a understatement. Well worth the 15.00 and American made.
I love my Tekton tools . I work on boilers and chillers
I transitioned to all Tekton hand tools back in 2020-2021. Great hand tools. I would not be mad at that one and done solution.
Thanks for the Dreo budget heater recommendation. I got one for a family member who is not all there from brain damage. The control lock is what we needed. Small but as good or better than a full size tower unit. Just ordered one for me. Extendable warranty a plus.
I'm a big fan of Tekton sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers. Haven't had to warranty anything yet but very happy with all the products I've purchased.
8ve been eyeballing them they look good
Big fan of Tekton, bought a lot of their tools since finding them through you about 2 years ago.
My tool box is full of Tekton, they haven't been reviewed by content creators lately but they are still very relevant.
Hows the breaker bar might buy one to bring with me to the salvage yard
I just placed and received another order last week. Satisfied as usual.
They are my favorite ratchets in the tool box
I just ordered some more tekton sets today. Been using the sockets since about 2015
I work in a heavy duty diesel mechanic dealership and I have there sockets extension ratchets swivel adapters and wrenches there dope and the warranty is just as good as tye truck
Here's my Teckton story
Somehow, I had a pair of their pliers in my toolbox but they had an issue with the nut that holds the 2 main pieces together.
Very happy with my Tekton, nice stuff...buy it.
I just got their modular wrench racks. I absolutely love them. I had a toolbox widget one and didn’t like it at all. The tekton ones are perfect!
I noticed this too I wonder if its because of increased competition
Tekton really needs impact swivel sockets, bit sockets need Torx Plus, XZR, and RBT styles. Their rolling cabinets are really nice but could definitely use heavier duty casters to carry the weight the structure is capable of.
I work at semi dealership in Grand Rapids Michigan and we just started to get a tekton truck to stop out at the shop and they are great tools for the price and the warranty
Hold up there. You have a Tekton truck??? Is it branded Tekton or is it an independent that carries a bunch of Tekton?
@@denoftoolsgotta be some independent guy
I'm buying all the tools for a new company that starts in the near future. Purchased both metric and standard master sets from Tekton. So, they're still on the top of my list. Paid about 130 , and150 for each set. I know they'll do the job.
I am moving all my old Craftsman socket sets into the truck and buying Tekton socket sets for the garage. I just need 6 point no skip sockets at a fair price. Tekton for me is a tool that just works but nothing flashy or trendy.
That is what I am doing but can't decide which one is riding in the car
Me too 😁
About a year ago I was very interested in the extra long double box ratchet set.
I have the 3/8 Inch Drive Folding Quick-Release Ratchet and I love it!
I have some tucked in impact sockets. My ratchets however are Koken and Nepros
Tekton is the first brand I recommend to anyone that asks. I still feel their socket set offerings are unmatched.
The value isn't there as much now ! Prices hiked way up from before!
And??????? Still worth it
I found out about Tekton last year when I was looking for a ratcheting 6 point flex head 17mm wrench. Been using them ever since.
The grip features damage flat sides and are not acceptable to fine and expensive equipment like aircraft or other critical fasters.
@@chriscalderin6677 understood, that's why many manufacturers offer both options. Meanwhile, I'm not working on aircraft, I'm working on a vehicle that sees harsh winters.
@@user-lg2jm9zg6l yea that is where you are going to need them I thought about sand blasting my wrench ends as I think smoth chrome Can ba a factor
Tekton❤️ Can't wait for the 1/4 locking extions.
That reminds me of the Craftsman "full set" from way back.
I'll take a smaller toolbox with nice tight heavy feel drawers and some shelving (something that you feel like you can put some weight on) over a big one that wobbles ANY day
They had a discount for being an apprentice and going to trade school…I will always support Tekton
Tekton sells stuff on Amazon that aren't on their website.i bought a discontinued tekton torque wrench from Amazon for 35 bucks...it was normally 65
Nice, what color is the Icon?
That set pretty much comes with cabinet, which is a plus for beginners.
I ordered my 1/4 Dr set and it was missing a spinner handle. They replied to me within an hour saying they will send it out. Love Tekton.
I love Tekton but they raised their prices significantly faster than inflation over the past 3 years. They have priced themselves out of my tool box.
I have a 1/4 drive socket set, and I love it.
That's all I've been using at work. Sockets, ratchets, wrenches
Their prices are insane now. Basic socket sets are over $300 now. I can't believe my eyes
I just bought a basic socket set from their website for close to $50... 3/8 drive 6 point impact in sae. You can't get more basic than that.
Meijer stores stopped selling them not sure why. Meijer is huge in Michigan
They also have nice tool storage and wrench roll sets some of them are made in usa.
Baught a lot of their racheting wrenches at a substantial discount while they were discontinuing that line. Absolutlly love them.
I have some sockets and like them and Just bought their mini needle nose pliers excellent price and quality.
