Such a great episode. My favorite moments where the moment between Amaya and Janai as the former is stopping the latter from rushing in, because she understands the pain of losing both a queen, and a sister. Then there was Soren and Claudia’s moment. Ah, that most difficult of choices, between the people you love and what you know is right. Soren chose the latter-a path bound by honor and duty-while Claudia chose the former-a path that is shrouded in darkness-and it has torn their family apart once again. And of course, last but not least, the revelation of Rayllum to Ezran and Bait! Oh, that was hilarious. “What?...WHAAA?!” Great thumbnail choice by the way.
This really shows how far Viren has fallen, also that Aaravos is that powerful. The corruption of the Primal Sun magic is truly terrifying, the sky turned to night. Almost like Aaravos being a Startouch elf changed the natural magic to something that is preferred for him. The spell that Viren chanted is backwards for, "Hearts of Cinder cannot burn." The last episode is going to be explosive.
Viren: "I'm trying to save humanity!" Aaravos: "Yeah, yeah whatever helps you sleep at night." I really felt for Janai in this episode. Especially since Amaya understands her pain, and knows what it's like to lose your sister to Virens choices. Despite that, I don't have a lot of sympathy for the queen herself. After the way she treated Amaya last time we saw her, not to mention how many other humans she's probably tortured via "purification," what Aaravos did to her couldn't have happened to a nicer person. I am however very curious as to what Aaravos did to her grandmother. Ez and Baits reactions to Rayllum were priceless. Those faces scream "okay, what DID we miss while we were away?" Claudia and Soren really have it rough. Soren will never gain any real love and admiration from his power hungry asshole father, who was ready to turn him into a mindless monster for his selfish goals. And Claudia has practically been brainwashed into accepting Virens lies and way of thinking. And now they've been torn a part because of Virens growing cruelty, and will probably be enemies the next time they meet.
While I don't really have a lot of sympathy for Khessa ('cause of her arrogance, *_extremely low_* opinion on humans, and cruelty towards them i.e throwing them in blazing inferno dungeons or purifying them with the Sunforge (regardless of whether or not they have pure or impure hearts)), she was still the Sunfire Elves' ruler, and Janai's elder sister 😔.
I think she will keep it as a pet. I like this moment as it highlights the difference between claudia and callum, both found the creatures incredibly cute but while callum lives with them claudia captures it as a pet she sees the animals as lesser and not equals; though they both love them they see them completely differently
11:39 unlike Janai's heat-being mode, which is controlled, the spell that Viren uses on Kasef and the soldiers makes them retain less of their personalities and the change is, *_gulp, permanent 😫😱!_*
18:12 apparently, according to TV Tropes, *_Viren_* was the one who caused all the mayhem and destruction and death in Lux Aurea after Aaravos corrupted the Sunforge and killed Queen Khessa 😱😱!!! *_He's turned into a one-man army 😱😱😱😱!!!_*
So after Aaravos do they call it Nox Obscura now? Or Nox Venefica or Nox Malefica? Venefica is like "poisoning-sorcery" or something, and Malefica can be "black-magic". But Nox Obscura sounds more poetic to me, it feels like Nox is the opposition to Lux, and Obscura is the opposition to Aurea
Viren literally said 'That doesn't matter!' when Claudia said he would have died. I think that followed by the lie about what he told Soren to do was the breaking point where he realized that his father was evil.
10:57 I know its traumatic for her.. but didn't her mom say to stay with her brother? Thats the only reason the mom allowed Claudia to stay with her father. Because of Soren

I'd say dark magic is mean not to even things out, but to tip the scales in the humans' favor because it encompasses all magic, where elves and dragons are usually limited to one primal source based on their births. You won't see a Tidebound elf using Moon magic or an earth dragon shooting lightening. Dark magic, however, is an instant gateway to all magic. Granted, with season four out, it seems that Aaravos gave the humans dark magic for his own purposes.
I forgot to mention, I believe Claudia was wrong in the way she saved Soren, because she killed a baby deer to do it. That is the worst possible act for all living creatures.

Spirit Banishment? Did I miss him saying "kill" or"died" or was it just "fate"? Can Aaravos use dark magic? Does Dark Magic cut you off from the primal sources if you are born with a connection to it like the elves?
I think that the queen's and Juhani's grandmother had been killed in an incident in which a human had been wrongly blamed, hence the queen's hostility towards Amaya and condescending attitude towards Juhani's speaking up for Amaya.
Dark magic does kill innocent creatures. The Elves and Dragons had reason to be scared of dark magic, it is in essence dark and bad. The reason humans wanted it in the beginning and how some might use it now might be good, but the methods are bad. It all boils down to if you believe the ends justify the means. @Zale sorry to break this to you, but, Gren is just Amaya's interpreter. He's a part of her, but there are no hints of romantic attraction towards each other (as said in Wikia).
@@erikolson4148 Sorry to break it to you, but Wikia is a website made of fanmade wikis. I checked the official TDP website, however, and both the entries on Gren and Amaya said nothing like what you put in your last line: "but there are no hints of romantic attraction towards each other."
Aaravos wasn’t really pressuring Viren about conquering Xadia. He was just getting Viren to come out with all his bullshit, instead of hiding what he’s doing is for humanity it’s really just for himself.
24:56 the Sun Dragon, Pyrrah, is a female, I guess that you forgot to use female pronouns again, or forgot her gender as well as her name 😒?
Wait when did we learn her name? I know Ezran referred to her with female pronouns but I don't remember that
@@AlexKnauth I found it on Wikia and TV Tropes, and apparently I think it was on Tumblr or something.
