    Man, My favourite part of this episode is the talk that Soren and Claudia had before Soren left. It was so emotional and Soren knew that forcing Claudia to come with him would make things worse so he just left even though that was equally as painful for him. I love the dark tone this episode took. It really tells the viewers that "we're in the endgame now".

    • @ReelJames
      @ReelJames  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I 100% agree with you, Skye! That moment was full of emotion and I do think that this is really the start of that Endgame moment. I'm so excited for tomorrow's episode!

    Claudia and her abandonment issues am I right
    look at Viren messing up the perfectly healthy relationship between his children
    Truth be told I feel like Aaravos is rubbing off on Viren, like viren from the past or even the start of the show wouldn't have done these things(I'm 80% sure that viren who had to think about the blood sacrifice would not uncritically deep throat Aaravos's bug)
    Like since the ear thing and now this I've got some questions about how that thing physically interacts with viren like how did it stay inside(and not die and have viren go about his business)
    Like damn dude Viren really seen Aaravos do all that and said "but he's tall"

    Maybe it was a good thing Claudia took that puffball. Does those things really contribute to the environment. They could be just like those fart flowers. Viren looking into the light raises some questions if the test actually looks for a pure heart or it's just a dark magic tracker. Too bad Viren didn't know Amaya was there, he could of negotiated her back to the winning side.

    • @ReelJames

    when aaravos asked viren if he wants to conquer xadia, he hesitated to answer because he dont want to admit he wants that, and even he said no, he does it anyway, whenever or not aary convinced him, when aary ask him if he need to conquer xadia, viren answer yes excited, meaning that's what he wants
    It's the same when he talks to Claudia saying that "others would [seize the crown as he does] for self importance." and hesitates. He's lying to himself to justify his own lust for power but even he is starting to struggle with the dissonance between his words and his actions. Even Amaya accused Viren of wanting the royals to die so he can take over
    my guess is aaravos just removed the inhivitions of thoughts viren already had, viren still chose to betray harrow and invade xadia on his own since season 1, aaravos just said what viren wanted to hear so aaravos admit viren's goal for him, viren prefer this as a way to tell himself "is not my fault" if something goes wrong

    as much as harrow had a burning vendetta against thunder, he was disgusted when he was dying from petrification, viren grinned sadistically, so for viren killing thunder and zym is more about crippling and spiting xadia than protecting humanity or respecting sarai's wishes
    maybe if Thunder didn't went back to the mountain to try to save zym, harrow would not self reflected that thunder was protecting his country, people, family and himself like harrow was doing too, harrow wouldn't reflect that he spilled blood of innocents of both kingdoms and wouldn't pass down his now perspective to callum and ezran to not do the same mistakes as him
    stealing the egg and lying that he broke it turns Viren in a traitor and puts everyone in bigger danger, Harrow at first didn't wanted to break the egg because is not Zym's fault what Avizandum did, Viren convinced him that the egg is a timebomb and they should "defuse" before Zym grows up and his anger explodes against humanity, lying to Harrow about breaking the egg itself turns Viren into a traitor because in harrow's old mindset of not caring about Xadians, Viren brought a timebomb into the castle
    Harrow started to care about Xadians after reflecting that he betrayed and spit on Sarai's wishes of peace, if Sarai was alive she would never forgive him and viren for killing innocent dragons, maybe she would kick their ass for roping Ezran into the grudge
    Harrow understood he brought the assassins to himself for killing a would be father that was defending his country, his family and himself and roped Ezran into his grudge for killing Zym and neither of them are at fault for the war or the sins of their fathers and cultures
    With Harrow's new mindset of him being a bigger a-hole than Avizandum, Viren is still a traitor because of putting Ezran in danger of being assassinated because he didn't thought the assassins would target him aswell, also for having Zym hostage in his lab to use him as a spell ingredient, treating him as an object and not a living being, humans are lucky Runaan didn't told xadia that Zym was in Katolis because they would scorch and plunder everything to get him back if they knew
    Even fans say Viren cares about humanity, we can certainly say he doesn't care about Xadians as intelligent or emotional beings, but as stupid beasts when alive and tools and assets when dead, so he wanted to kill Zym because of what Avizandum did, he doesn't care that he is a baby or that is not his fault everything his dad and nation did to humans, Viren's exact words to describe him were "deadliest weapon in the world that xadia will use against humans"

    • @ReelJames
      @ReelJames  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, this is a great breakdown, Eric! I do agree that Viren doesn't care too much about humanity or caring for his neighbor. I mean, look at what he did in this episode!

    at least soren saw through viren and didn't wanted to be a lava zombie like the other soldiers, soren now unleashed his inner zuko and laime lanister and betrayed viren, so it was a good but extremely lucky thing ez was in jail, he understood his dad is a uncaring backstabbing liar and sociopathic asshole who isn't worth loving and was using him to betray everyone else, too bad claudia is still blindly siding with viren for being their dad, if just viren kicked soren out then claudia would have left with him but happened the other way, i really doubt claudia can redeem at this point even if viren come clean of his crimes
    im glad to see that amaya can hate viren alot more than the elves

    some comments about your previous reaction
    unfortunately for you, too many fans support and justify viren' s war crimes, to them is all "humans didn't do anything wrong", "xadia was going to kill all humans", "zym would grow up to eat all humans if viren didn't kill him", "ezran, callum and soren are traitors"
    i am one of the few or maybe the only one who call out humans' wrongdoings and the fandom's hypocrisy of defending viren's actions
    remember when harrow was alive and he was so remorseful of his actions?
    harrow didn't wanted to kill zym at first but with hard convincing that the egg was a timebomb he allowed viren to do it, and he neither wanted to kill avizandum at first which he also did with hard convincing that sarai would wanted this which is false, it was viren's desire to cripple and spite xadia
    if Viren chose to lie about the egg being destroyed, as he considers everyone too stupid to understand his choices, in viren's mind could be used as a plan b in case harrow's life is in danger, but in this case wouldn't work and is still his fault they also targeted ezran for convincing harrow the egg was a timebomb, but i don't think viren stole the egg to bargain harrow's life, claudia said he stole it to use it later and tiadrin gave him the idea to collect more xp as an ingredient
    assuming harrow would be too stupid to understand his train of thought of stealing the egg is just insulting his intelligence and loyalty and/or Viren knows stealing the egg would paint him as a traitor and hypocrite

    • @ReelJames

      Awe, man, I could *never* justify Viren's war crimes and how he lied to the other kingdoms to create a false war. Just a shame!
