    I hope people truly understand what this video is. 1 of the greats of BMX shouting out and singing his praises for the forefathers that came before him. Giving them their roses. This is the equivalent of Kobe sitting down watching jordan highlights and giving him love and praises for what he meant to the sport and how he changed it. We get to have a look into the mind of Scotty who is very much a kobe of his own craft. That being said Scott we need to give you your roses! We got to stop only celebrating people when they die and start giving them their roses while they are here with us. I Appreciate and am truly grateful for the sacrifices you’ve made and what you have given to this beautiful sport Scotty! The Goat!🐐 🌹 thank you

      One of the best things about these sort of action sports (BMX, MX, Skateboard, etc.) The guys that were in their prime 20/30 years ago have paved the way to the new age 2015 and on era. this includes Scotty of course but without these greats, you would not see the types of tricks and riding you see today without them.

    • @LS-vg1bk
      @LS-vg1bk ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marktate2683 exactly and think about it that contest he wins at 16 isn’t some bullshit contest with nobody’s, the absolute goats were riding against him and he still won even tho he was no where near his prime at that time! Dude was the chosen one! Also To be honest I don’t think we ever saw his full prime. When he had his injury in 2016 he was still progressing still working so I don’t think we saw 100%. He was 30 tho so I’m not saying he was far from his 100% full potential I still think at best we saw him at about 91% of what he was yet to become.

    I remember the riding from back then and it made me what I am today.... I wouldn't be the same person without riding and learning what I did, it taught me that nothing is scary unless you walk away without trying. It made me take a chance or "shoot my shot" and I also learned to have no regrets because that can eat you alive.... I don't want to be that person showing up at "Heavens Gates" wishing I had tried more or that I wish I knew myself better, I want to show up sliding in sideways screaming "Woooooo" and when I come to a stop I'll think "What A Ride" and knowing I did everything to the fullest of my ability. That's what BMX has done for me and I wish everyone could experience something like that in life, even if it's not BMX, it could be kayaking or rock climbing or whatever.... Just pour your heart into it and you will learn what kind of person you are and that's something you'll never regret. 😁👍

    I went to all those Roots Jams at the Orlando fairgrounds. That's Jim Reinstra they couldn't name on the hitching post doing a nosepick. Nevermind, I think it's Mike Andrew. Morgan Wade was airing a strange quarter there one year and back peg was bonking the beam on the ceiling.

    I remember just a couple weeks before that jam in 2002, we rented out the Mission Valley Skatepark here in San Diego for my 16th birthday. I have camcorder tapes of that whole day. 12 of my homies and myself riding that famous park to ourselves for several hours. I was on a 2000 model General Lee with T1 bars, WTP Everlast forks, and mostly the rest were Pr1mo parts. Etnies Vallely shoes, fox pawtector gloves..
    What a magical time those early years of the 2000's were. Damn...

    Scotty you are one-hundred-percent the best there has ever been, one of the greatest tragedies, was your accident, I am glad that we have Matty and Kevin Peraza they are my top two riders in the world, and no offense to Matty, there's just nobody who will ever be as great as you you will always be number one Scotty 👍💯 Dave Mirra was a little bit older and he was in a different era, when you showed up Scotty all the old school great riders knew it was over for them, no disrespect to any of the great riders that have come in the past, hell one of my favorite riders is Eddie fiola, but there comes a time and a place for everything, when you just can't do no more, and Scotty I think that you were that person, you just can't do no more than you did, there's limits to everything, and you were a f****** Superman, and you still are and always will be😊 👍💯👍💯💪😎😎😎

I bet you are very smelly if you have heard of it. Oh btw. People actually choke to death too, that’s scary too. Might wanna stop eating. Dude no one else can make you know what to do either. Dude midschool was the absolute best era of BMX hands down. Everyone had their own style and someone's run wasn't about how many whips and bars they can do in one air or how many tricks they could link together. Modern day BMX is cool but it's too much like a video game anymore.
