For putting gas in the car, position the bottom pump gun at the 2 o'clock position and it will stop the multiple interruptions of the gas delivery. I live in Belgium but I have a US C7 Z06 which is really not compatible at all. I had to ask on a forum if that was normal and someone told me that plugging in the pump gun at almost 180° up side down just works perfectly fine. Let me know if it does the trick for you! Apparently in California, gas stations are somehow similar to European ones reason why you have the issue whereas in the rest of the US it s apparently not causing the problem. Regarding driving when it s raining, that s what I like actually, I like powersliding and drifting cars and the C7 Z06 is so easy to powerslide and drift that under rain it s even more enjoyable without damaging the tires too much and also it is safer because you ll start to drift at a much slower speed due to the lack of grip.

I watched another TH-cam video and they said when fueling your C7 insert the pump, turn it upside down, and lock it on the first notch, (slow fill). I do this all the time in my Z06 and never have an issue. Thanks for the video!

The fuel stopping while filling gas, simple fix I figured out...I just pull out the pump hose just a bit maybe half an inch and it does not click stop till the end
I don't daily drive mine in Michigan we have bad winters and late springs it's sits in storage for around 6 months a year it's racing yellow tint it's a 16 too with a manual transmission the transmission is a pain in city traffic I've only tried 7 th gear twice rev match works good when upshifts too when you're getting after it you're right about it getting away from you I've had it get loose a few times and scares the hell out of you the front camera is great too
you know it’s a great car when the two only complaints are the gas cap and the center console. I would’ve gotten the zo6 but it took me long enough flipping a bunch of cars to get to the $40k needed for the stingray I got, hopefully once I finish school I’m able to find a real job that pays me enough for a c7 or c8 zo6 depending on whenever that is lol
Yeah it’s an amazing car man. I driven a lot of cars, but nothing beats the c7 z06 for its price point. I love my GT4 too but it’s not 2x the better car. Something about the C7Z so really rough to get out of. It’ll be a forever car for me
2017 C7 Stingray, weaker than a z06 but still slips in the rain if I'm rushing but as he said conservative driving is no problem...snow is another story though...I feel unsafe driving in the snow...even in idle drive the car fishtails in snow lol
Last of the great corvettes. Why there's no manual option in the C8 boggles my mind. I don't think many corvette drivers care the automatic is 0.7 seconds faster in the 0-60
Been in a manual mustang for a few years now, looking at going Z06 or BMW next. Sadly for the amount of traffic in my city if I went auto I don't think I would miss it. My commute from work is legit an hour of stand still traffic
I daily my 2015 C7Z06. I have an automatic because I am disabled and cannot drive a stick, not that I wouldn't love to. I now have 88K on the car and if I had one complaint it would be the cost of the tires, lol.
Nice! How are you liking your C7 so far as a daily? I think the 2019s have updated magnetic ride which makes it even more comfortable than the older model years.
@@crointhevette I have no complaints really. The trans shudders a bit around 5th gear (automatic) but I think it just needs a triple flush (according to GM). Mine is a 3LT and the napa leather dash I don't think was fitted quite right or there's some warping that I need to fix. All in all a great car though, makes my short daily commutes a lot more fun.
Love the wrap on your z! I have a 16 as well. She's at the collision center. Some idiot ran the stop sign! 😭 As far as the gas goes, what I do is I put the handle facing upwards instead of normally downwards and it works every time! It'll stop when it's full! It does look weird and some people might stare at you but you'll be in and out in no time!
Hey dude I’m thinking of a C7 ZO6 or Grand Sport, have you had any issues with the torque tube rubber bushing being cooked by the exhaust? I’ve heard of those going out, and causing forward thrust on the crankshaft, causing metal grinding internally. A few owners had metal shaving sent throughout the engine and basically ruining it Also the wheels sound like they crack easily, are yours aftermarket?

Toyo Proxes R888R will fit the stock rims, and will not spin in first gear once they are warmed up, even at 55 to 60 F. This will keep the Z06 from getting loose on straights.
Is the black stripe on your hood vinyl wrap? I see the black stripe often, was it a factory paint option? Same question with the black top. Vinyl wrap? It seems like there was a black top offered from the factory as well. Just trying to figure this out for when I can buy one next year. Thanks for the video.
Turn the nozzle of the gas pump upside down the gas will flow perfectly into your Corvette. Then when it clicks don’t top it off or you will be wearing it.
I have a 2019 Stingray (460HP) and it can get away from me once in a while. I would never own a Z06 because that's way too much power for normal driving.
For every day driving definitely the corvette.. More practical (bigger trunk), torque, easier to get in and out of, and easier to perform DIY maintenance. The Porsche on the other hand is for special occasions/backroad fun. Both are wonderful cars nonetheless.
I'm 6 ft 2 and for me that style vette felt uncomfortable as hell. The new c8 also felt pretty tight and bad. But the older ones ironically felt much better. The Supra was just ridiculous, nothing worse than it!
I'm 6' 3" and I find mine extremely comfortable, the only issue is getting in and out.... Lol. While I'm in it it's the most comfortable car I've ever owned!
I'm 6'2" myself and fit in my 2016 Z51 just fine. I'll admit another inch of leg room would be better. But I'm still not complaining. To each his own. All good.
Good video. Thanks. I love my 2016 C7 Z51 Corvette. My mpg is quite impressive I find with the 8 speed automatic tranny. I've contemplated the C7 Z06 but shy away because I've heard tire wear is bad. I have over 40,000 on my set now with more tread to go. I'd love the Z06 for that surcharger.
You can daily drive anything. The real question is: is it practical? A corvette? no. its two seater with minimal space. Its got a V8 so it'll be a gas guzzler depending on how much you drive it. Its really low to the ground and has a horrible ride driving on rough roads. A Camaro is way more practical with its space. Its a bit higher from the ground and its better on rough roads. But still has a V8. A corvette is a weekend driver, or a fun toy.
Thank you. That black hood bump (accentuated or reinforced by the carbon roof) really pops against the gold ........ besides upping the ante on standard competition yellow. I drive my 17 z M7 daily. Unless it’s cold as frogs nipples like right now. Witch highly sucks ! I need the rush of that LT4 after couple days without. Fast cars are like drugs to me.
just a little note the cylinder deactivation for the vettes is a big no no its known to cause long term issues for many different reasons but one of the main one comes from the car being made to handle power equally through 8 cylinders but once it switches to 4 cylinders it starts to overload the 4 working ones
WITH ALL THE CHIP SHORTAGES YOUR CORVETTE IS GOING TO HOLD IT VALUE REAL GOOD BECAUSE THE C8 Z06 IS GOING TO BE 175k IF YOU CAN FIND ONE. THE C7 Z06 IS A KEEPER LONG TERM ESPECIALLY THE MANUAL YOU ARE A LUCKY MAN 🎃

Eco mode...cuts the fuel to 4 of the cylinders...not saying you will get Civic fuel efficiency but can match some 6 cylinder cars MPG

I agree that the 7th gear is pretty much useless. It’s a shame GM has to please the EPA gods otherwise a 6 speed would’ve been 👌🏽
Disagree, I use 7th all the time particularly on the motorway (freeway) I am in the UK.
