The same problems exists with similar sheaths. I have the indigenous puuko knife and the sheath has the same inner piece which holds he knife. It was super tight at the beggining but after some uses, its better now. Definately a beautiful sheath but that inner piece is a pain.
Dull edges are pretty common i put mine on a few stones then stropped it and its razor sharp now

I like Condor knives, I have a few myself. But after watching reviews of how crap the sheath is, I decided to pass. Plus, the Seax knife is supposed to be worn in the horizontal position, blade up. So the sheath is wrong.

I have one of these, I carry it on my Home Stead.
It cuts well wholes a pretty good edge. Keep it oil cause it will rust fast. The sheath sucks.
    I got one made.
    Overall a pretty good knife.

Interesting theory that they used broken blades to make these. Makes a lot of sense.

I have the Sigrun, about the same, but micarta handle. Dull out of the box. The store has a guy who sharpens, so gave him $5 to fix it. Now my worksharp takes care of things. Believe it or not, I use it for fishing. I fish in a fly only river, sometimes the trout just aren't interested, so it's great for digging grubs out of logs so at least I have 1 trout for dinner.

you can actually contact condor and tell them youre stupid. Theyll probably send you a new sheath. Their customer service is outstanding and the products have a lifetime warranty if I remember correctly

@@Tctbnl Wrong --- ... the Broken Back Seax which is the one you have above is the very design common to the English/Anglo Saxon people, for which my ancestors were named. They were called Saxons for their devotion to the Seax - ie the people of the Seax. The chief God that was worshiped by the Anglo Saxons that came to Britain in the 4th Century was SEAXNEAT or SEAXNOT. The big knife was at the heart of cultural and ceremonial life to the degree that Blades were given names, imbued with magical powers and passed down through generations of family members. To this day, the County of Essex ( East Saxon ) in England, takes for the symbol of our County Flag, three Seax stacked vertically one upon the other. The Continental versions of the Seax used by Franks and Scandinavians were not like the English Saxon Broken Back Seax ... they were a different profile and shaped more like large bread knives.. P.S The Seax was still found in use in Britain and Ireland until the 11th Century - longer than anywhere else.
