Awesome run down, Pete! You are correct about the transposer; it has been in the newer plugins, but was introduced to the QC in CorOS 3.0. Awesome heavy tones!!

I dissed on the QC for a long time, trying QC when it first came out and used Fractal for several decades but NOW I'm finally switching to QC. They have done a great job working to update and make it better for the customer so great job Neural!! And of course awesome playing Pete.
@@r.llynch4124 Neural has done a great job working to update? Huh? They promised that feature over four years ago and still only have 2 of their 20 plugins available. And major features like cortex control that again promised over 4 years and was just released in January 2024. We must have very different takes on the definition of “great”
Love the intro and the initial demo on this Pete. Question is, how do you power supply the QC on the temple board? I know it can have issues if not done properly. Do you run it completely separate from everything else with its own dedicated power source? I’m looking for a similar set up but want it done correctly. Thanks as always and love the channel.
Pete plz help man. I have an Apollo twin x quad and I just ordered a quad cortex I am really confused on how to connect this all together. I thought I was going to plug the guitar into the input on the cortex then cortex xlr out to Apollo twin trl 1/4 then twin to Mac thunderbolt. No one explains this in and videos. Thank you !
Looking to move my Quad Cortex onto my pedalboard. How are you powering it while on that Temple Audio board? My current setup is Gigrig generator, but I don't think that has enough juice for the 3A hungry QC, along with my H9. Thanks for all the inspiration. Oh, and the gear folks thank you for all the money I've spent because of you ;)
Hey, Pete! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME DEMO, AS ALWAYS! Crazy question for you; you must have tried doubling pedals... Is there any good ones that you found? My light scrubbing has found the TC electronics mimiq... Have you tried that, and if so, how do you like it?
Do you have to still purchase each plugin or plug-in suite separately, or will they be free downloads for QC owners? If the latter, I may take the plunge on a QC purchase. If the former, I’ll stick with the FM9.
Man, I wish these things were up to touring standards when it comes to durability. I’ve been wanting one for years but there are two high profile dudes in my circle who’ve had issues with various parts breaking. It’s just not a coincidence…they’re both highly competent, seasoned professionals. Sonically, the QC is nearly unmatched…there isn’t anything definitively *better* that I’ve heard. But until they put out something that can stand up to the rigors of 300 gigs per year for a decade straight, it would have to be a studio piece for me and I’ve already got way too much studio gear. Very much looking forward to a tankier version down the road.
These are definitely fit for touring long term. Also I've read that people who have ran into issues on tour contacted support and had new units sent directly within 2 days (you really need to be carrying a spare). I mean obviously if one of these modellers fails there's not much chance of you repairing it unlike a traditional amp, but like an amp or traditional pedal board things can and do break especially if you're travelling and playing 300 gigs a year.
@@PeteThorn You don't understand not wanting to support a company that makes promises and doesn't deliver for 4 years? That I don't understand. Yes, they did give a promise that they would get their plug-ins running on the device. They found that that would be more difficult to implement than they thought, but they have been transparent with their updates throughout the process, and they have given many usability and feature updates to the unit as they worked toward this end. Yes, it was a long wait, but it was worth it. I was a launched adopter of the QC, and so I have gotten to enjoy all the updates, and now this update, as well. A little patience will go a long way.
