    I know Park tool for quality products but my latest purchases just feel poor in quality and feel, The tw-6.2 "made in Taiwan", not The quality feel and finish i am used to. THE SBS-3 socket and bit set "made in China" not solid and wear shows fast, i am very carefull with my tools. Sad :(

    Love your straight forward, no-nonsense approach in these videos. Love Calvin too, but frankly, the goofy, nonsensical manner of many of his videos is so contrived and wearing on me. I wish he could dial it back just a bit. Not saying I don't like a bit of humor here and there, but it has become non-stop and tiring. Sorry for the rant.
    Finally, I truly find Park's tools to be quite good and have used/owned many of them over the years. Keep up the good work. We'll keep buying your stuff! ;)

    Love your tools, passion and tutorials! Well done for that!!! There are only three things to criticise in my Park Tool experience so far. It would be nice to see some good pumps with big and precise scale (maybe also positioned higher up) and higger pressures. Also I am sad I cannot get the old MTB-3.2 multitool and don't see relevant replacement for it. It is such a shame as I have never find any more comprehensive one on the market!!! Also sad I cannot get the old style deflecting beam torque wrench TW-2 since the new clicking ones are unfortunately not as durable and reliable (little expensivce too) and one has to go to a different brand for this one. Otherwise I am more than happy with most of the PT tools I own so far!!!

    Can I use the repair stand PCS-10.2 to wash my bike? I guess what I'm asking is can it be wet and not get rusted?

  • @philipb867

    Dam I just bought the PCS10 old version, this looks much better especially the way in which it folds up as the older version gets stuck every time I try to collapse it...

    • @TheGeochemistry
      @TheGeochemistry 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I gave away my old PCS10 because I got tired of pinch fingers, smashed toes, and floppy stand legs.

    • @jaykeehan7355
      @jaykeehan7355 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the new stand looks better, but I still think the old version is a pretty good stand for home use. Agree it can be a pita to fold up.

    • @dAzFivefoUr
      @dAzFivefoUr 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Never had a problem folding up my stand, I prefer the legs folding down because there is no possibility of the stand collapsing if you haven't tightened the locking clamp enough, in fact that is one reason I bought it because all the other stands the legs fold up, and supporting a heavy e-bike is what I use it for, the only thing that would make mine better is the shaped tubing so the clamp won't twist around

    sometimes the frame or the seat post the bike will move and is still quite loose in the stand and moves. How can i correct this problem please.

    Can the HBT-1 also be used to install brake and gear cable ferals? First thought I had when I saw it pressing in a barb.

    • @newttella1043
      @newttella1043 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You shouldn't need a tool for cable ferals. They just slide or push on. That HBT1 isn't even needed, it's only a time saver device for bike shops that do brake cable cuts every day.

    I saw a park tool bike repair stand 10.2 packaging box printed "Made in China " Is this genuine or fake Park tool product?

    • @parktool
      @parktool  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some of our products are indeed made in China or Taiwan. We make every effort to use American manufacturing and assembly when possible, but there are some items where American production is either not economically viable or even impossible due to lack of facilities that can produce at the scale that we are looking for. All of our products are designed and engineered by us, and carry the same limited lifetime warranty as our American-made tools.

  • @BlairAltman

    What would actually be helpful is something similar to the brake hose barb press but for seating the plastic ferrules on to 4mm shift housing. It needs to be fast to get on to the housing and work one handed.
    The latest batches of Jagwire ferrules and housing I have received at the shop are a huge pain to press together. A tool to aid this would save me a ton of irritation and get used every time I grab my housing cutters.

    • @mattgies
      @mattgies 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could probably use the same barb press, if you just swapped out the barb driver with the center pin for a modified one with a flat face. Or, if you're fancy, machine down the tip to a small enough size to fit into a ferrule.

    I owned a Porsche/VW, BMW, Mercedes Benz Shop in California for 10 years and have over 25 years of Porsche experience, then worked for Carol Shelby as a High Performance R&D Prototype Fabricator, then designed automotive handtools, and tool boxes for a Tiawan Tool, and Tool Box Manufacturer. I also owned and operated a bicycle shop while I had the Porsches Shop, then became International Marketing and Sales Manager for a Bicycle Tire Company, and I have to say Park Tool Products are #1 in the industry! Go Park Tools! Thanks for the TH-cam videos! You guys are Awsome! Sorry, I had to make it short, I have to go ride.
