Coming to the U.S. Honda's Miimo robotic lawnmower (1st look)

- UPDATE Honda's robotic lawnmower Miimo is coming to the U.S. this summer 2017! previously available only in the UK. model Miimo 300 shown. Here is a demo of how it works with help from a member of the Honda power equipment team. Please comment below and help us get Miimo available worldwide.

Unfortunately, in most areas of USA, things that aren't bolted to the ground would be stolen in minutes. But i think that if it was stolen, the mower will eventually find its way home and charge itself.

+dumbass3000 I think some of these Automatic Mowers have alarms on them if they are lifted without the proper code.
Haven't seen it in Australia yet' and Australia has some really tough lawns' I am currently mowing with a push mower 3000sqm".
what about having 5 year supply of seed and fertilizer deposit/tanks that that Miimo can access and add to the lawn when needed?

Canada. I would consider buying one if the price was right. I also need more info - does it work in the rain? Does it stay outside 24/7? Does it cut randomly or in some sort of a grid?
USA I would get one great video
Is it good as the Bosch one ? Bosch doesn't cut randomly here and there . It knows the plan of your garden and where to go. Other mowers have no idea where to go. They just go everywhere randomly, even on the areas where the grass has been cut already.

what a joke, tiny blades demo shows golf green short grass. Lets see it cut some 10" grass.
Do you wait until your grass is 10" tall to mow it? Your neighbors must love you. It's a joke to think that a useful robotic mower needs to mow 10" tall grass. The idea, like the robotic vacuums, is that you schedule it to mow on a regular basis so why would it ever need to mow grass that tall?
I never let my lawn get 10 inch high.never.never..I mowe twice a week
Who let the grass get 10 inches high...you got ticks ..snakes .then when you do now the grass is laying all over ..then you carry it on your shoes...or on the patoo.on the house .or it blows every where ..

It would take this thing days to mow anything bigger than a postage stamp. Perfect for tiny inner city yards but tending the front and tree lawn would still have to be done by the owner. If not I'd see these things come up missing constantly, you'd have to be out front while it's going and to me that defeats the whole purpose of thing. If the grass grew longer than a inch or two you'd have to mow before this thing was put out to maintain it so you'd have to keep a gas mower anyway. Time is prohibitive, it won't be done quickly. Cool toy, that's about it.
Harikarikillboy2174 exactly...any yard that's not perfectly flat, overly big, and has a grass depth greater than 3 inches is going to have problems if they use this...not really practical unless you have a mini yard
alwaysreturnNurgirl it reminds me of the irobot. Another great idea and they've sold a bunch of them, I have friends who have them. As they've told me they do fine but mostly just maintenance "dusting" as they've called it. The ones I know with kids have returned them the same day. They just cant perform or replace a full size vacuum, just like these can't take the place of a real mower (even the full size electric mowers. They don't have the power nor lasting battery to make it worthwhile on all but the smallest of yards) I live in southern Louisiana, 3 days of rain, how fast things grow here, I'd spend more time trying to unclog it ad trimmer string...it's just nothing more than a gimmick in this form. Maybe later that will all be worked out.
After seeing that video, I would not purchase one. I like the smell and feeling of my Honda 4 stroke lawn mower.

Here is a fun idea, you should have the person you're interviewing with a mic. all you can hear is your raspy voice and not sure what the hell the product specialist was saying.

For me not a real story I had a lot of negative expirience with Miimo.
First of all Miimo is much to expensive compare to the real production cost of such a simple product.
And now the bomb Stiftung Warentest in Germany tested Miimo and gives a (Mangelhaft) poor note because Miimo is not save.
Children can hurte by Miimo easily.
Question who is paying the cost of such accidents.
I have the same and I am very disappointed. The wheels leave their footprints on the periphery of the lawn. It is appalling, ugly and impossible to catch up with. Not recommended
