these lures changed my whole season around. caught my first walleye, sauger and a new personal best with the Chrome Shad in the Mississippi River. I will never stop buying these.
Versatile lure. Redfish, Spanish Mackerel, sea trout. Even largemouth bass in fresh water. You can really belt this lure a far distance so covering ground and finding fish becomes easier.
If I only had 4 lures. They would be a Chrome and blue 1/2 Rattle trap, Chartreuse and White 1/2 Spinnerbait, Chartreuse and White Chatterbait and a Wacky rigged Green Pumpkin Senko. 😮
just got 2 me and my buddy were out yesterday and i caught nothing lol even on my flukes which i usually catch and he pulled out that lure and caught 2 back 2 back so i went and got 2 1/4oz ones cant wait to try them
Does anyone that fishes lakes without shad catch fish consistently on these? I've tried them several times but haven't had luck on them, but my lakes don't have shad and I'm wondering if it's more of a shad specific lake pattern?....
Oooo, Oooo, Oooo, I know what Bill Lewis changed on the Rat L Trap over time. I just ordered three 1 oz. Magnum Force Rat L Traps. Almost identical except one has MADE IN USA on the package, and two have MADE IN CHINA on the package. The advertising said Made In the USA. They lied.
What did you expect from a company that claims "grandaddy of lipless crankbaits" after copying Cotton Cordell's exact design?! 😂 They claim being first to have rattles, but even that's a lie. When the weights came loose on Cotton Cordell Spots people went crazy looking for defective ones or knocking the weights loose to get them to rattle. It's literally where Bill Lewis got the idea. I've always used Rat-L-Traps and always will, but thats the truth!

What size do you use most often? I was at the store earlier today and was unsure what size picked to get so I picked up a 1 oz just to get me started
