My biggest issue coming up is the wiring. That I could use some help on...would super appreciate a wiring set of pics or a diagram Thank you in advance
I built a 4'x4'x7' oven 2 years ago and am running 4 - 2500 watt elements. I'm wanting to add the propane to mine to ramp up the temp faster. Can you post a wiring diagram of the controller to the heater and also how the 12v supply is wired to the controller? I'm thinking of just adding a second control box to my setup now to run propane but be able to kick it completely off to run my elements to maintain. Thanks.
The 12v controller isnt wired to the pid. The only thing thats wired to the controller is the outlet. Then the heater is plugged into the element. Also i dont have any diagrams. I got all my info off the internet and you tube. The wiring is the same a normal electric oven but instead of elements its powering an outlet.
Can u make video breakdown of making it and were to get my parts. Like to make a setup like this. The box on the side my biggest question. Was gonna buy oven but rather build a setup strictly gas do a burner setup. But I have huge questions about the controls can I setup with box and control like u have there very clean very nice
Hey awesome job. I built a 4x4x4 oven with the same setup. I have a 60k btu mr heater blower but its just not heating up. Cant get over 300f , i have a 2” exhaust. What size blower do you use?
I can help here. On my setup I used a devil700 here in England and I was having the same problem until I realised that the fan blows cold air around the outside of the burn chamber. So when you connect your ducting ONLY connect to the inner burn chamber. Mine now heats a 4x4x4 up to 405F in 11 mins
We actually used press board like you see on the back of furniture pieces. 8$ at the big box stores, and then we bedlined the outside to help seal it all together and hold the heat in better.
anthony degennaro wow. Before we added the exhaust pipe it took the same as you. When we added the exhaust at the bottom cut the time down dramatically. It allows the cold air to escape and bring in fresh hot air. Way more efficient.

me too- about to tackle this pid/propane setup myself.
A Aron I found a really informative website last night. I’ll see if I can find it again

I was wondering, what material did you use for the outside of your oven

Thats what i thought it was. Great job bro
Thank you sir. As we’ve built a couple more ovens they get better and better.
still works to from wild side ,great build
Great Design, I am looking to build my own so I can powdercoat bumpers and other large items. Did you use galvanized sheet metal on the interior?
Isaac Hodges mine is all 16 guage aluminum
@@boldcitydesignsjax what brand and model # of that heater
The Compilation King it’s a 60k BTU Mr Heater propane with continuous ignition.
@@boldcitydesignsjax thanks bro..
The Compilation King no problem
Nice job but you can’t have the thermocouple 2inches from the heat element….
Agreed. It was moved.
The make panel mounted toggle switches.
Have u powder coated anything in it yet if so how did it do
anthony degennaro yes sir we have used it. Works great! No fear of blowing powder off or anything like that. Finish comes out nice and smooth.
What size is the duct
6”
Crazy tryed all the same things u did and it takes 45 mins to get to 325f
