That was totally helpful.
Can you make a similar video but:The Best Openings in 2024 (For Black)?
Cool suggestion!
Yes please please, especially openings for black against D4!!!
Igor, please post 2nd video with black pieces. I am a great fan of your chess lessons, you inspire me a lot and help me to get better every week 😊 Best regards and happy new year.
Thanks for your work Igor. I would love to see 5 best on d4 openings
Was looking for a good gambit against the Sicilian since everyone knows the smith morra, cant wait to try this!
Now the same idea for Black would be great!
thank youuuuu ill definatly try the openingsss
Please make a video like this for black side.
This is the best chess video ive ever seen!
First and most important thing you rightly teach knowingly or not is to play agresivly and allways keep attacking .smart because best defence is to attack.keep them coming and thanks for your knowledge
Thank you for your work, Igor. I have really improved my game since I watch your tutorials.
Great to hear!

Best chess teaching videos on youtube, bar none.
Thank you you made my day 😊
Thanks!
Igor Thanks so much. I played one of these openings for the first time in a tournament with a two hour time control. I beat my opponent in 30 minutes who was rated 100 points higher than me.
very helpful!!!!!
Very helpful. Happy new year
Happy New year GM Igor🎉. Looking for great content ahead this year.❤
❤ Happy New Year. We have a lot interesting content lined up.
It would be really useful if you showed game analysis bar graph next to the board so we can see how the computer sees the moves.
Best video ever, please do for black too
Thanks a lot ..your video is helpful to choose the proper opening ! 🌹
🌹
I always save your videos so I can find them fast if I need some tips during
Well done ,keep it please.
Thank you
Wonderful!
This helped because the London system never really worked for me and I played very solidly with the kings Indian as black. Thanks!

I love when you have those forks between a major piece and another fork
GM Igor, Happy New Year, thank you.
Happy new year!
loved it
Happy New Year’s thank you so much
You always have a very nice haircut
Just sayin
THE BEST CHESS OPENINGS thank you........
Hi GM Igor, may I ask what chess application are you using? can you share the link? Thanks!
Reffering to the last example (number one trap) : what if my opponent plays d5 after ng5??? The bishop is cut off so it does not work anymore or does it?
Brilliant
Please make a video on traps against English and reti opening
Are there other more openings that followed concept of side push like siciliana defense, mengarini variation?
At 7.26 any serious Pirc player knows the move is Nfd7 nullifying thoise lines
Check the database, only 27% plays Nfd7 (best move) while 71% plays dxe5. So, the lines showing is mostly a win for white ;-)
You are teacher. Thank you very much for the lesson.
😃
Wow I love it 5 opening 😊 to mate
Ur the best chess teacher
Happy new year Igor Nation!
Happy New Year!!
Igor, in the Mengarini, what do you do if black just goes ...8. a6 to stop the knight advancing?
could you please make a similar video - but for Black!?
Nice
Yes bosssss likes so much bishop opening
1.b3!
@1:05 awesome, you see this in the Evans gambit, only this you still have the b pawn.
Igor, I have a question: How do I study endgames on my own?
Is it good to play Sicilian aganist kings gambit ?
#3 can be achieved with the jobava London as well vs the kings indian.
plz make more elo puzzle
I like the look of the bishop opening but when I try to play it I find black moves pawn to d5 not d6 after a few moves and you end up with no advantage after a big exchange of pieces. What’s the best strategy here?
Nice video
Gracias a tus videos logre ganar el interSABES local de San Luis De La Paz en el estado de guanajuato, Mexico🇲🇽🇲🇽
What happens when you play this but black does not exchange any pawns from the beginning on the Mengarini variation ? He did not exchange on pawn e4 and e3. but the opening is still as is ? He moves from the center to dd5 and opens e5?!
For the last opening when you do Ng5 can't black do Be7 to attack your Knight
5:45 does Blacks queen to D7 help block the knight fork ? Also even if the fork happens ? Seems the Mengarini version relies on Black not moving the queen
Qd7 is best move, but it's already too late for black since the white pawn is at d6. Engine says +7.50 to white so black is totally lost in this position.
I'm a d4 rather than e4 player, but your line against the Pirc defense is common in the Jobava London against the King's Indian.
Could you please do onee for black pieces
I like the queen‘s gambit
ON OPENING NUMBER 3, Pirc defence -byrne variation, what if black plays f6 after Nd5 ????
on the haxo gambit if the oponent doesn't capture the pown and choose to play quen to f6 what next then
Will taylor chess made the mengarini variation of sicilian famous he plays it all the time against the sicilian
can u make an opening repertoire for both colors ?
👏
11:30 I call it the drunk knight gambit 😂
Igor, love your videos! But the conclusion after this is: In Chess black has always a handicap..... Keep up the good work!
Very interesting opening. What if the Queen does not go to d8 but instead the bishop goes to d6? This happened in my game.
In the Bishop's opening, Black is clearly castling into it with 0-0, so would clear up his queenside.
In the Italian game, the irony is that the opponents took my knight and guards bishops and so the trap with opening the queen to bishop failed altogether.
10:39 i got checkmated in 8 moves
8:35 king can move to d7 to prevent the threat from knight but why you didnt played that?
Balance Changes in chess??
Thank you. You are like Federer between tennis players.
Should i study endgame everyday
Lmao I know #4 as the delayed wing gambit and prefer that over going for b4 directly
How can one remember all this 🤦🏾♀️
LMAO it takes practice; besides that is what GMs do
Terrible opening. Opponent obviously didn’t watch this video and keeps coming up with his own moves.
the Mengarini variation is what Gotham recommends 😂
That first one is actually the scotch gambit
No way someone played a million openings in 1 day to say these are the best for 2024
Its not only one person. The chess app logs every move everyone has played so GMs like Remote Chess Academy can go back and analyze what works and what doesn’t.
@@viking8889that went way over your head.
Do you know that lichess has a free database with statistics of millions of games, that allow you to analyze the most played move sequences, right? Igor analysis are always spot on.
@@viking8889 it's a joke bru 💀
The future people of the Sun
Hi IgorSmirnov
6:56 how black takes white pawn???
Instead of moving knight to F7 why wouldn’t he just move the queen to F7 to challenge? What would I do from there with the first opening setup??
Talking about the Haxo Gambit at the setup about 11 minutes in the video
Most of the time I play e5 the response is Nf6 …
Pirc is pronounced peertz 👍
I swear, elo must be 600 for these to work
New meta
what a coincidence, i was just watching a Bishop opening video few minutes ago, i didnt think Bishop opening would be on #2!
??? wdym its a coincidense?
no 1 is called Alien Gaaambbbbiiit!
Speed 75%
Notice how the caro Kann is not mentioned
Nah that one is too tough
6:49 the king could have taken the pawn at g3
true
Stopping the kids from saying first.
first
I'm from the future in 2028. What openings do you suggest?
Haha
Vienna gambit is the G.O.A.T in 900 Elo
I just play 3. Nc3 to avoid the headaches (I play the Rousseau gambit as black lol)
I like it too: when they bite it's really fun and otherwise you're doing a regular solid opening. Still, the Haxo gambit and the bishop's opening in this video look good too. I wonder if switching make sense.
@@CristanMeijer I don't know what you mean about switching but if you mean switching openings, you don't have to forget the last opening that you really like, like once I just played petrov's defense for no absolute reason (maybe because I hate playing Sicilian over and over again) but I still play Sicilian if I know my opponent is skilled then I would need my best opening. Also when the opponent plays 3. ...D4 I cry inside just a little bit💀
@@alae-eddinearbane2604 then I play 4.F4 X E5 - Nc3 X E5 5. D4, so it's like the Halloween gambit but I still have a knight and a gigantic center, I recommend 3. ... D4 so both you and white share a center no matter what pawn they take
Hmmm... how do I like this video 500 more times?! :P
