As much as i advocate for this surgery and try to be empathetic, he was already tall. Was in a loving relationship, has kids and is 37. The difference between 165cm to 180cm was obviously life-changing to that black gentleman. He went from SHORT to a respectable 180cm. However, going from 183cm to 198cm is like going from 200cm to 215cm, after a point it doesn't change much. Other than pissing money away and making your bones weaker and disproportionate.
so you want to get limb lengthening to make yours muscles seem more aesthetically pleasing, except the problem is your upper body frame will not become wider, so won't he look the same really? Not to mention, you won't be able to deadlift or squat heavy for a long long time, maybe never even? Doesn't seem to be worth the risk.

When he posted his measurements of his legs I was shocked because he has really long legs (44cm tibia and 56cm means more than 100cm legs) and it's a lot considering that If I had those same legs I would have been 192 HAHAHAHAHA
So maybe he posted his measurements wrong or working out that much and having big legs make you look so much shorter than you actually

I don't know if I would do this if I was 183. I mean it's the ideal height even in the ''tallest'' country (netherlands). I don't even think that people around him are at least 1inch (2cm) taller than him because the average height in USA is 5'8 to 5'10 (173 to 178), but maybe it's because of the strongman environment who's actually made of really big and tall people in general. Anyway I would probably decline also because if hes' really concerned about his strongman activity maybe his capacities of squatting etc might not be perfect when you change your biomechanics that much, also he should be really happy about his wingspan being so long because helps a lot with deadlift. I understand why he sees himself ''short'' because of his bad proportions who makes him look shorter than he is, so let's see how he'll look in a year

@@tiagomoraes1510 I've been in the netherlands and honestly I felt that people are around 182 to 187 at most. But I haven't met people that tall (195). Also if 183 is the average, you should count the deviations, so this mean that 183 is around 50% of people, 190 still being 7cm above the standard would mean that anything under 178cm could be considered "short". Also in medicine anything above 185 is gigantism, so I don't think that 195 is the standard ideal height of the country.

I'm 183 cm and Danish, which is a tad above average for young men in Denmark. Ideally, I'd love to be 187-188 cm tall, but I'm not sure I'd undergo this surgery to achieve that. I doubt it's worth it
183cm is a good height everywhere in the world, a excellent compromise for strength, agility, health etc. But humans are not purely rational beings

Simple because it isn't enough I understand why this guy wanted to do the surgery, I'm 20M🇵🇭 and I'm either 182-183.3cm, if I was in his position I'd do it too but I'd like to be only 191-193cm. In my experience yes from where I'm from the average is like 162.5 but it always bugs me when I see someone who's 186-191cm, in all honesty YES 180-183cm is tall but for us who is in this range we feel somewhat average but not short lets just say its out of greed.

It's an ideal height of course but it's stupid to think lengthening your legs will help, you have to lengthen your arms and hands to be effective too. It's also not a guarantee that at that height you'll win, you could be that height and have smaller hands than a guy like myself who's 6'2'' and almost has a 7 foot wingspan. Men of 6' and a little more have one the world strongest titles.

I would not recommend doing more than 15cm. Honestly more than 14 is pushing it. If ur height is 1.71 then after femur+ tibia you'd be 1.85, which is over 6ft

I think his wingspan is larger because of shoulder width. Not necessarily arm length. Plenty of bodybuilders get increased wingspan after working out..I'm sure it adapts the bones

no man lol clavicle bone doesn't "adapt" like that, regardless of how big your bideltoids are, the clavicle remains the same, it's either wide or narrow, he has wide shoulders but small arms, wingspan should be measured from forearm to shoulder or something like that and not both arms wide spread, it gives a false positive of long arms.
