You can't help but love Simon. As a top touring pro, he approaches shots and takes chances, despite what's at stake in a highly contested tour stops, like a casual or recreational player would. The old, "What the hell, I'm gonna try this" approach. Even now, he still smiles like he enjoys the game for the fun of it even though it's his job/career. Not to mention he's hands down the best disc golf content creator by far. He may not have the most big wins on tour, record wise. But he easily has as many if not more fans as any other winning player on tour. Simon, don't ever change.
I dont get it. If i throw that high, it falls down and goes only like 200 ft. When he throws high, it can go 500 feet. Like....the power and perfect form behind his throw is amazing
Wouldn't surprise me at all! I think Simon is more deadly now than before the elbow injury. I think we will see an uptick in his scoring consistency and tournament contention!
I don't think people realize how hard of a shot hole 18 at Moraine is to do perfectly from the pro tee..Yes it's a bit downhill but it's a tight fairway, with a low ceiling and you have to throw the right disc with the perfect angle, with the right amount of turn to make the basket...It's even a tough shot from the shortest tee pads. You hit one tree and it's either OB or a tough bogey to make.
Lol at every spectator doing their most athletic move to avoid the roller...and then there's the tiptoe bike waddler that could not *possibly* be less aware
@@serkka8 I think of him like a pitcher throwing 105 mph. In his first year in the majors he throws 10 innings out of the BP blows his elbow out and has to take off for two years. After the 2 years he comes back and now can only throw 98 but cant control it very well. After 10 more innings he hurts his shoulder and is put on the 10 day dl and that's the last time he ever pitches in the majors.
@@thecynic807 True he was throwing too many full power trick shots on his channel while the tour was on hiatus due to covid the form on those kind of shots isnt always perfext which can lead to injuries. In tour games you very rarely need to throw full power shots if you can reach 500ft with ease. he will be alright ewen if he cant throw 100% power. At 70% power he still throws further than many others and dedinetely far enough
Nothing is more simon than throwing 800+ feet and missing a 20ft putt lmao
4:24 do you know where that tournament played out cus it looks so fun
Brooksville, FL. Gran(not Grand) Canyon is the name of the course
Temp Course unfortunately
Guess you didn't see the rest of these holes

The sport wouldn't be nearly as sporty without him.
Couldn’t agree more
6:06 greatest roller I’ve seen in pro play
"If you can't beat 'em, make 'em cheer." -The life motto I never knew I had.
I love his grin when he makes a good throw
The most entertaining player to watch - maybe ever!

Yes.. your throw runs out of steam and falls.
His has so much speed it just keeps going.
Great technique + slingshot arm = exceptional distance.
Get to finally watch Simon for real this upcoming week! Can't wait to watch!
Great video!!! God bless!!! God bless everyone!!!❤️❤️❤️
I want to see him win the PDGA Championship this year.

Best disc golf channel on TH-cam. Love your content.
What course was the first clip at? If anyone knows?
Some of the vids you posted for normal are LHBH/LHFH which is quite rare.
As soon as The Champ came on commentary I got ASMR vibes... That man's voice is like butterscotch. 😌😂🤙❤
a bit like bob ross
He is the best commentator. So much experience and a fantastic voice.
In 4:24 what was the tournaments name cus i wanna watch it so bad
2019 throw down the mountain round 3 back 9 on "the disc golf guy" channel. You're welcome
@@eyeswideshut5306 thanks :)
That’s a good one “if you can’t beat ‘em make ‘em cheer”
And thus, the tilt was born because of this lol
Mans put 600 ft par 4’s out of business
Simon is a magician.
Phil Mickelson of disc golf
Wow he must know his discs really well
Yeah that's one way to put it
he has videos where he guesses what disc he is holding while blind folded.
Miss OG 🐐 on the call..
Unbelievable
Rip the camera guy if he got hit by the disc

Had to leave that putt in didn’t you?? Haha
I want him to win a world's championship.
whats a Simon line?... sideways and over
7.15 safety par
Damn you really gonna disrespect Oakley like that for no reason??
Man that biker sucks 😂
Patrick star meme
❣️🇨🇿❣️
Just wish he would play to win..,
Great video but it would make more sense to show a righty throw the normal route.
Mau
The disrespect of Eric Oakley...average throw...
He is throwing a PD"
I can't for the life of me figure out what a PD is. Anyone?
Discmania power driver.

WHY DIDNT YOU CALL IT SIMON LINEOTTES?
You repeatedly call Nathan Queen's line "normal"... Think very few match his line and shot selection to be honest ,)
Great stuff though!
11 months later and Nathan queens shots still look normal. To be honest ,)
But playing like this has maybe cost him his career that he could have had. He might be forever stuck down with the 1020 boys.
He isn´t 1020 though.
@@skokartong well regardless I hope he gets back to full form. Not a nicer guy in disc golf.
I think plays like this are what made his career. Hes a crowd favourite. Its something different than anybody else.
