I siphon into a pitcher clean the jugs out. If I have 2 or more bottles of the same stuff I top off the jugs and put remaining in a smaller bottle or just have a partial jug.
I use one of those big gravy funnels with the screen and a big wad of cheese cloth if I need to filter when I'm going from the pitcher back to the jugs.
Of course if I have enough of the same juice I make a jug in a old clean jug I wash out with a little bleach if not I make a jug with all the different juices and half the time that turns out to be the best jug lol.

I use a small fish aquarium heater n put in juice bottle with water in-between my wine to keep it at a temperature for Fermenting, it a indirect heat, it works for me on cold days

I bottled up a gallon just before thanksgiving. I used the 3/4 cranberry 1/4 cherry juice. It came out excellent. I use a hydrometer to check specific gravity and it came out sweet at 1.022% specific gravity. It was excellent with the dinner.

Very good video. I have learned the hard way NOT to put the yeast in, and then the sugar. I had one heck of a mess from it doing volcano out of the bottle.
I siphon my wine into a new jug to get most of the sediment, then run it through a coffee filter.
for those that want to bottle it...good luck. I tried it one time and came back home from an appointment, and the corks popped out. I still find new spots 2 years later that the wine exploded to. The wall 16 feet across the room was purple from concord grape wine. NEVER AGAIN!
P.S. PAPA...if you have not made wine from apple juice yet, OMG do it. It's my wife's favorite.

Always appreciate ya, PawPaw! :) And thanks for the reminder. I have two of those bottles of grape juice waitin' for me to make into wine. I like it sweeter so I'll bump the sugar up just a tad rather than knockin' it down. But I think I'll see if I can find some of that cranberry juice cocktail. After all, gotta have some variety. LOL!! Merry Christmas! :)

Sorry to hear about your birds my friend. Just bottled a batch of honeycrisp apple wine using your recipe and it came out yeast-forward, funky, and not great compared to a batch of cran-cherry I had made. Wound up filtering, mulling, and fortifying it, and after doing that and backsweetening, it's significantly better. Now that it's cold, I worry that I don't have a warm enough place in my house to set up a batch for Christmas, but I'd like to get a set going. Thanks for another video.

There's an old trick I like to use during the Winter months, which greatly speeds up the entire process (you & paw paw can thank me later :^) set/wrap your container on/in a small heating pad. Just be mindful to use it with common sense to eliminate all risk of fire...ie/eg...I actually put everything on a concrete floor, in the middle of a basement, with no one & nothing else around it + I also plug the heating pad into a fused power strip. Happy Holidays everyone & to those that celebrate Christmas... Have a Merry Christmas!

If your wife likes Merlot then maybe try a 1/2 cup+/- of plain, black tea, steeped for 5 minutes for extra "pucker" factor. Just add it with the rest of your ingredients.

Hiya Bob, I get some shine off a friend and once in awhile it has that corn taste that is over powering so I just run it threw a charcoal filter that cleans it right up works with wine to I think I got them on eBay lol but if I was doing a lot I would just pump it threw a canister filter. it sure does make it taste better and is a lot clearer , be safe and happy wine making

They make a “permanent” filter out of plastic and mesh. With the right funnel, it sets in there well and holds the paper filter also. It’s much faster and no need to press the holder.

When I have made your wine recipe, I use an airlock on top of the plastic jug using vodka or rubbing alcohol in it to contain the bubbles for sanitary purposes. I also place the jug next to the water heater upstairs, which is a nice dark closet. Also wrap a small fleece or warm blanket around to keep it warm. I leave it alone for the most part, check once a week on the airlock to see if it has enough liquid when it's bubbling. :)

I love how paw paw makes good wine from juice and does it cheap. I tried making juice wine once and holy crap it did not taste the greatest but did it ever have a lot of booze content wowy lol I’ll have to try again and see if I can make a good tasting one outta juice. I’m good at making wine from raw fruit and squeezing it down myself but it gets so darn expensive and I wouldn’t mind saving a few bucks trying it paw paws way

Last October I made 3 bottles wine, 1 each of cranberry, red grape, and white grape, using your recipe exactly the same on all 3. The White grape was dry, the red grape was a medium sweet and the cranberry was very sweet. I suppose the white grape had less sugar in the juice, so the yeast ate it all.

Hey Paw Paw. I just made my first batch of wine just about the way you tell us to. Is there any reason to shake the bottle during the fermentation process, or just leave it set? Thanks for all your helpful videos!

Hey Paw Paw, how do you know when it is finished fermenting? Can it be bottled too soon? I don't want a huge mess to happen when I am least expecting it.
