  • What is the true nature of deception? Where does it come from and how can we live in truth? Can we be deceived even if the words being spoken are true if the emphasis is wrong or significant truth is left out?

Sadly, it's so much easier to deceive a person than it is to let them know they've been deceived.

@@alisachilders What lots of people (even pastors) don't (yet) understand.
God created us according to His own image and likeness. Godly.
Mankind/the first Adam fell. The image of God in man got lost. That's why there is all this predicament on earth (selfishness, greed, lust, wars, sicknesses, death, etc).
We are all born into that mess.
For the fall of man a perfect atoning sacrifice had to be made.... that is what God did in Christ.
With His own once and for all perefect sacrifice, He paid the debt for the fall of man for us, so we can be indwelled by His Spirit again and finally receive the divine life of the ages back, the first Adam let got of in the fall of man. An amazing act of grace and love by our creator.
That is what you see happening in Christ's first disciples. They too healed all and walked in unselfish love.
And yes.... that is still avaible today. The holy blood is in place, the Holy Spirit is here to give us understanding, power and transform us back to origin.
Not to be debated about, but to be embraced and be-come.
So: The Kingdom of God already came. Through Christ, in Spiritform, in those that understand.
Hence the divine healing miracles we experience.
God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God.
The image we were created after in Gen 1.
The image we lost in the fall of man.
The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us.
What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing.
It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle.
He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Walking in divine healing power and unselfish love.
Jesus, born of the Spirit of God, filled with the spirit of God. The "Son" of God, the incarnated word, God in the flesh.
For three years He healed all, raised the dead, casted out demons, controlled nature, spoke pure divine truth.
      He said:
"Follow Me. If you see Me, you see the Father. The Father and I are one. The glory I have IN My Father, I give to you. It pleases the Father to give you His Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature. I will send Holy Spirit, the same as Me, He will be IN you, guide you into truth and give you explosive power. The same miracles i do, you will do too, because you will understand that the Father is IN Me and I am IN you. Freely I give you My Kingdom/Holy Spirit/divine nature, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, freely I give, freely share" Etc, etc, etc.
I have experienced thousands of beautifull healing miracles through the power of Holy Spirit IN me already. Broken bones, cancers, covid, all kinds of infirmities healed in seconds. Demons manifesting and casted out by a simple "get out, in Jesus name".
Jesus. De name above all names. In Him all power and wisdom is sourced and.... He calls us one with Him. God in man and man in God again. C'mon Jesus!!
So.... again: God stooped down IN Christ to restore us back to Gen 1:27 were He said: "Let us make man according to our image and likeness and let them have authority.....": walk as Christ.
Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after and being restored to by His atoning blood for the fall of man and indwelling Holy Spirit.
You are free to receive this original divine life of the ages by Holy Spirit of Christ/God. Ask Him to guide you into truth. Read the Gospel of John and fall in love with your creator.
You are not made for the fall of man and its effects, but for the image/glory of God and to walk like Christ. Holy Spirit is the guide and transforming power that will get you there. Amazing grace.
A big leap in faith can be made when we start realizing we are already IN Christ, IN the last Adam.
Free from the fall! Loved! Growing into awareness of our new (yet old) godly identity. Changing by Holy Spirit. The most fullfilled life ever.
Paul healed all on Malta. He understood and wrote:
"As in the first Adam ALL died (lost the divine nature), so also ALL were made alive IN Christ to walk in Zoë (= divine life) again".
"IN Christ (the last Adam) we are co-cruisified (dead to the fall and its effects), co-raised (justified/made righteousness, holy, blameless, above reproach), co-seated (one with Him)"
"The fullness of deity dwells in Christ and YOU HAVE BEEN MADE COMPLETE IN HIM, who is the head of every principality and power".
So.... thank you Jesus! Thank you for redeeming me from the fall of man. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that makes this new (yet old) divine life come alive in me. You are amazing!
In the shadow of Peter the sick healed... He understood too and wrote:
"By Gods power (Holy Spirit) and knowing Christ, we have become partakers of the divine nature and have escaped the fall of man".
The divine life of the ages has been returned to us by Jesus once and for all perfect atoning sacrifice for the debt of the fall of man and His indwelling Holy Spirit in us. Jesus/God is amazing!!!
Ask Him to give you revelation and change you to the way it was before the fall of man: Christlikeness.
He will do so. For it is written: "the Spirit brings forth after His own kind".
"I have come to give you Zoë (divine life) in abundance...."

Maybe it is wrong, though, and objectively at that. I mean, if we accept moral intuition as indicating an objective moral reality, it could actually be that the Bible is objectively wrong on some of its moral judgments or legal judicature. Remember: there is not a proposition that communicates testable and demonstrable truth that must wait upon the alleged authority or knowledge of any other cognitive agent, and since god is presumably a cognitive agent, they are included in the category.

Hi William. Sounds like you know what you’re saying. 16 other people agree. I’m interested in getting some clarity: how many people have been led to hell by false teachers, how many false teachers are in that group, how do you know that all these people are in hell, what is the exact number of ‘atheists combined’ and again how you know how many people they have led to hell?
Maybe I’m too skeptical, but It sounds like you are making things up, making statements as though they are some kind of fact (or fact-like fact) and you seem to have gotten a following of people who believe you.
I’m interested in getting this question answered: if what you say can’t be backed up, are YOU a false teacher?
How many other religious things do you say that are unsubstantiated that give you the appearance of authority or insight? And how often do you sway the thinking of others with these unsubstantiated thoughts?
It seems like Christians don’t ask very good questions, and they just like to follow whatever sounds right to them. “False” teachers don’t exist when there is no way to falsify a belief system.

      @WilliamtheWorst 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@WilliamtheWorst Your opinions are an outgrowth of what you’ve learned or have been told. What you share from that point on carries the seeds of that lineage into the minds of others. An opinion isn’t just a sterile thought that doesn’t carry any meaning at all and you are still responsible for what you say that others then absorb. What I am saying is that Christians seem to have a difficult time building their houses on the bedrock of truth because none exists under the sands of unfalsifiability - this is why there are so many factions within Christianity that try to ‘out-truth’ each other... but all they are are claims and interpretations. Whatever god created a system that relies solely on belief probably doesn’t care too much about rampant error.

@@WilliamtheWorst Your opinion is based on a series of irrational presumptions that fundamentally comprise the bulk of Christian theology - if that opinion is expressed on a public forum it’s not all that unusual to be read and responded to - it can be liked or it can be questioned - are ‘likes’ or affirmations considered trolling, no, why, because they make you feel justified? Is questioning your comment trolling, you seem to think so, why, because I’m not agreeing with you?
I’m not being disrespectful to you - I am addressing a ‘bubble’ on a public forum. Bubbles of misperception and ‘false teaching’ exist and are perpetuated because people say nothing. False teachers (according to you and Alisa) exist thus this exchange is on point with what Alisa is discussing here - she is examining false teachers in a similar way that I’ve examined and engaged you... at least I am specific and personal with my questioning... Alisa just seems to monologue on and triangulate on her disagreements with others.
Your opinions have an effect and matter. The opinions of others HAVE effected your thinking over time and changed your mind over time. My opinions matter and already have had an effect on you by virtue of me expressing them.
I see the wielding of scripture is high in your justification conditioning - while poetic and beautiful sounding, it does nothing to validate your comment that your opinion was correct - instead it validates the fact that you’re not concerned with the accuracy of the statements you voice, and so you say things that are flawed and even false. Others agree with you as if what you said was true. It wasn’t - but others have been taught not to know the difference - who taught them that? And, to the point, we circle back to “who are the false teachers in a belief system that is unfalsifiable?” There are none AND they all are.

EXCELLNT teaching Alisa. So needed in these times in which we find ourselves struggling to correctly discern the truth of God from the very subtle deception unfolding before us (and causing many believers to fall away).

I love your point about the devil quoting scripture. It struck me that the devil was learning and adapting his manipulation tactics as he interacted with Jesus. A good reminder to always base our discernment on scripture (as you said) and to study and be well versed in scripture so that we can detect the poison that Satan tries to slip in.

You can't help to think about how this relates to our current state in this nation. People are so quick to attack you and reject all that is in front of them. Who there are , what they are, why they exist. Simply , if the arrow is pointing inward , something is wrong.

You've put your deception on display for all to see, @@joeblue4116 . Your lack of understanding of basic History as well as a deficiency in biblical literacy are factors in the deception.
Truths: a Democrat canNOT be a Christian because God does not hate Israel. God does not condone homosexuality. God does not support continuous atheistic aggression toward Christians. God does not condone nationalized lying in the form of revisionist History. God does not support the continual breaking of established Immigration laws. God is not the author of gender confusion. Highly on point! The best kind of deception is one that clothes itself with a bit of truth, or sound truthful, or both. Shakespeare once wrote:
"We're oft to blame in this, tis too much proved, that with devotion's visage and pious action we do sugar o'er the Devil himself."

In order to discern you first need to know the truth.
I think a lot of people are being deceived because they don't spend time in the Word getting to know truth.
I am surprised at how quickly I can get pulled into confusion when I neglect to spend time in Scripture, and how quickly discernment returns when I make it a priority.
    Loved listening to you.

Often what others prescribe as good and honest medicine for the soul, for what will alleviate our aches and pains in faith, is not spiritually sound medicine. It comes from deceptive believers who have no accreditation or license to dispense biblically sound treatment. I love this video, especially the scripture you chose. I’m a new subscriber and I’m really enjoying your book, it’s so personal but has a rock solid foundation. Keep up the good work!

Why it's so important that you read the entire Bible and test each scripture against the rest of the book. Scripture never contradicts. Taking scripture out of context is like putting the piece of a puzzle in the wrong place. When you don't have any other pieces around it, it's easy to have it wrong. The more of the puzzle you have put together, the more obvious it is that the piece doesn't fit and the easier it is to find the right place.

If you have the Holy Spirit your innerman will not be deceived but if you don't understand in the mind your outerman can be decieved if you don't know how to understand what you believe you will be destroyed for lack of knowledge. Be transformed by the renewing of the mind, through knowledge by the Word of God.
