I received finaly 3 weeks ago my first ever DAP, the DX180 🙂 , i am so happy and just love this player 🙂,and paired with these new FT1 headphones (love so much these headphones), to listen at my player.
I bought exact cable from Aliexpress, 4.4mm with 3 contacts at the headphones ad tested, they hear very nice too. Why you consider is dangerous to use that cable with 3 contacts?
@@flac101 Yeah, i was worried too, but i guess the 3rd contact won't do anything in the end, but for me seems to hear much better with this cable, you should try to see the difference.
Perhaps you should leave a comment, otherwise it turns out somehow inappropriately, you shoot a video and no feedback from the viewers. I also bought these headphones on November 1st on Ali, for $ 135. I'm waiting for them to arrive. I plan to listen to them on my old xDuoo X3 II. I also have this album from Lamb in my collection, maybe I'll listen to it too. Now I'm listening to the in-ear trn v90, but I wanted something new and with a more comfortable fit. I listened to the Meze 99 classic in the store, but the price here in Ukraine is $ 330, for me it's expensive, so I had to look for a compromise in the face of FiiO FT1, I hope my expectations will be met. Good luck in creating new videos!
@@flac101 Good day. I just received them today. I've already had a chance to listen to them. I didn't like the headphones at all, I don't understand why there's so much hype around them. Both on TH-cam and on HeadFi. Of course, I'm also making allowances for the fact that my player isn't good enough to fully reveal them, but I listened to Meze 99 Classic on it and they sounded much nicer on it. I want to sell them for at least $120.

I do not like them. The "bass" is all over the place. The treble and detail is fine but the mids are too "in your face". The top part is too thin and not very comfortable for a bold guy like me. If you want a cheap pair of headphones that sound better than almost all headphones under 200 just get a pair of Roland RH-5. Just change the earpads to a pair of around the ear pads, improve the top a bit to make it more comfortable and you will have a pair of cheap headphones that sound like anything else. Try them. They cost a bit over 25 bucks but they sound like 500$ cans.
The FT1 and FT1 pro are very different. The pro have a planar magnetic driver and are open back while the FT1 are closed back and have a dynamic driver. The only thing in common is the structure and the FT1 name. I think they made a mistake with the name branding, really.
Nice songs you mentioned btw, good music selection :)

Wow! The DX180 seems to be an excellent choice! Glad to hear you are enjoying both.

I worry it may damage the headphones since the original cable has only two contacts. But if you tried it and it worked then it´s probably OK.

Thank you for your comment. I hope you enjoy your new headphones!
Did you get the headphones yet? If so did they meet your expectations?

I think the ft1 is slightly better than the meze 99 classics.
