Hi Paul I have the Sennheiser HD599SE which I found reduced on Amazon , have been very happy with them. Had previously had other Sennheiser models , and have never been disappointed. I definitely agree regarding the partnering system , which in my case is not good enough to consider an upgrade . Thanks to you I might look at upgrading the cable , now I know how to detach it 😊 . So any suggestions for a cable would be most welcome . 👍
Nothing I've watched review wise or heard from friends that opted to try them screams "good value". They are priced similar to the rest of the HD600 range bellow the 660S2 without any of the sonic characteristics that make the HD600 family one of the best lines of headphones. Yes it's a closed back, but they could have tuned it in such a way to have the 600 family signature with closed back quirks. Rather it's a different sound over all, thanks to the different ear design and materials used. Intriguing headphone, but I'd honestly rather spend an extra $200 and get the Focal Azurys. The 620s should have been priced $200-250 US.
I got it for $299 and am extremely satisfied. I also have an hd58x Sennheiser from drop open backs. And i now prefer the 620s to those. And the passive noise cancellation on the 620s sound like i got ANC - without having anc 👀. Best passive noise cancellation I've heard. And also way more comfy than the 58X imo. But that's my opinion lol.
They are more detailed with better technical separation than BT headphones. They don't have the bass that the three wireless ones have. It's different. The bass and shelf in the mids makes the lower and mid/mids sound boxy and unnatural.
Sound is subjective. What someone may praise for sounding great in hiphop, may sound like absolute trash for you. Budget also plays into this. Most popular BT headphones are the Bose/Sennheiser/Sony BT headphones in the $299+ range.
@@NyteStalker89 I hear you but people know pretty much which genres they listen to and if they have a good budget they know what sounds good and what die at sound all that good ultimately no?
I've just returned them. I didn't expect "that" at all. They are crushed on all genres by my Sundara closed back (warning : with mandatory eq applied). The Sundara cost half their price...
Sennheiser is not GERMAN anymore it got sold to a swiss company 😂😂😂 Now it sounds like the swiss Alps 👎👋 The new owner is the Sonova Holding AG which specializes on hearing aid ⛑️
Nice one Paul be waiting on your take on these! Can't wait to hear a pair. Thank you , like number 63 from me.
Jim🏴😉

Cheap little bassy heavy piece of crap, the 99.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I paid 200€ for mine brand new and find the sony mdr-m1 equally good in value albeit sounding very different
Please could you link where I can buy “higher quality” cables for the headphones? Thanks
I've delayed answering this one because I'll be offering a spot in a HiFi News, Etc video (this Friday) which address that - check it out!
Sorry, but I sent mine back to Sennheiser - not for me this time. I'm sticking with the meze 99 classics.

The 569 is closed back
Do these have better soundstage, and better punch, than the xm5, momentum 4, Bose?
I think they're more capable in overall terms, in sound terms, than the others in that list.

HD 569 are bad (i returned them), i would only consider hd 620s for sennheiser closed back
the HD569 is a great choice (very efficient) especially for all the smartphones with 0.5V limit on their dongles/adapters.
What’s the best sounding Bluetooth headphones 🎧 for hiphop?
