About half way into it so hopefully not too much more. Usually try to get about a song a week done then another week or so to film the game footage and edit everything together (by far the most painful part of this all for me).
Shall you break free from the chains that bind you? Or shall you escape and set out to find the truth i know that this is the place you'll return and when that happens i shall be right here waiting for you
been listening to all those music tracks, I wonder what other music you like from videogame soundtracks. there is some great work from the psone/snes era.
I've been really into the Donkey Kong Country soundtracks lately, those are classics obviously. Chrono Cross is pretty deeply nostalgic for me and has a couple of super memorable tracks that'd be fun to use. Breath of Fire 3 isn't really in this style at all but it's a favorite of mine. Zelda obviously but those have been done to death. I work a desk job with a lot of time for long form music listening so I tend to go through a lot of JRPG soundtracks of that era. Final Fantasy just has the most nostalgia to me since FF7 in particular is close to the first game I remember playing.
@@lzls4379 Chrono cross has some kickass music, that weird loop they did at the very begging had some material for vaporware music I think. I really miss all those heavy melodic music they used to have, luckily we have things like vvvvvv or undertale.
@@acuerdox I actually thought FF15 had some great melodies too, but it's hard to replicate the charm of the SNES/64/PS1 music - the hardware was such a limiting factor but I love that sound.
@@lzls4379 ffXIV has a lot of great music too, Uematsu came back for those one. the ones on the main three starting cities are really good. never been much of a fan of MMOs but walking around those places I noticed they have really good ambiance. I like the melody a lot, and I find most games don't use them often.
Why do my recommendations give me these super late? It gets me angry so easily. Listening to this however makes me feel less like a berserker and let me channel my mage energy properly into my ideas. Thanks and also "First track from my FF9-based project." basically translates to my brain as YES in large, flashing letters that hopefully don't hurt the eyes. The ears, on the other hand...those'll be fine with you around, dude; actually more towards the 'hella lit' zone of the spectrum. I haven't even played FF9 but now I am digging for money for at least the Steam port. TLDR: PLEASE YES.
So what do you like from FF12 music-wise? I've played it to death twice for like 200 hours each time but can't really remember a lot of melodies from it.
@@sephirotten K now that you say it I can actually think of the low town theme right away. I'll have to check Giza plain though I'm sure it'd come back.
Really really good, excited to hear a FF9 album.

Eerily good. It may be difficult, but there's a lofi silver-lining in this soundtrack and you've found the first thread.
Bliss & Goosebumps. That bass tone is so sweet & smooth!
Maaaan, the hype this is transmiting me right now is incredible, can't wait to hear the whole album!
I just need to figure out what to do with "Not Alone" and I'll be ready to go.
@@lzls4379 Take the time you need, man! I'll be there when the project is done!
I literally looked up Vaporwave into YT search bar and this came up, I love it.
Thanks, glad you dig it!

This track soothes my soul, but I swear you had an entire set of FF6 remixes. Am I tripping?
Kefkawave. Pretty sure that still exists unless something weird happened...
@@lzls4379 dammit, I meant 9. That's what I get for staying up so late, I confuse myself and other people. 😭
@@jessicajenkins462 Haha still have that too. Final Fantasy Wave IX

Can I talk you into making a playlist of all of your FF projects? I'd like to be able to throw them all on and listen at work. :)

WHERE IS THE REST OF IT??? T_______________T
Working on the last song!
