Good idea - also giving international drum clinic helps with personal growth if handled the right way (which will involve a certain kind of suffering by going really put there and connect) - and who knows who one meets along the way...

"Chop" has been appropriated to mean "lick." Chops is the body part that plays the lick (note combination). Chops comes from shedding, which used to mean practicing in the wood shed when mom kicked you out of the house -- ax chops the wood. This is where you get ax meaning instrument and using your "chops" with your ax in the shed (shedding). I've heard chops could also mean a horn player's lips, as in punching someone in the chops (or choppers, teeth, which are covered by lips). Either way chop does not mean lick 😄
