This is so me.. watching him lypsinc to this song while Kei was singing make me want them to collab in the future. Or they performed on future Woollim concert. Imagining all main vocal line from Infinite and Lovelyz (and upcoming wb too) perform a touch song like this would be epic performance. I meant.. Woohyun, Sunggyu, Jin, and Kei all can do high note. She deserved more points imo. This song is so difficult technically and so emotional that even senior singers don't dare to cover it. I just hope people could recognize finally all the hard work she puts in her performances and her capacity, because in this one she did amazing but still apparently it wasn't enough :(. I'm sure next time will be better, as long as she continues to give this kind of astounding performances. FIGHTING KEI!!!

this girl deserves more, the way she sang Wildflower with no mistake at all, that high note really blew me away, never thought she could hit that high of a note with a crystal clear voice, without a doubt the best cover of Wildflower that I have ever heard so far.
I agree with you but when she did hit that high note she was straining , but she did her best and did an amazing job while singing Snow flower. Props to her.

Years later and I'm still so mad Kei didn't get more recognition from this show. I loved all of her performances so much, I keep coming back to them. Her ballads are so beautiful they make me cry. And all the pop songs she did were incredibly fun, especially Atlantis Princess. She's a fantastically solid performer overall and her vocals can't be beat.

Kei did so well and I'm so proud of her 😢 I have never heard of this song before and what is this song about but I can feel the emotion with Kei's performance! It made me tear up! Girls Spirit really does help Kei shows what more she can do compared to when she's in Lovelyz! Actually every members are like that because Woollim really makes Lovelyz's real talent show limited! :(

Here I've one confession to make.
I'm an EXO-L, I know this song because Jongdae occasionally sang this song in shows. It is only few days ago that I suddenly wanted to hear the original song and was awed by Park Hyoshin's vocal! And today I came across this girl's cover and since I've never listen to female singer cover this song so I decided to take it a go. To be honest, this is the best time of my life. I love her cover so much, she is so stable while singing. The moment she hit those high note, I've shed tears I don't know I have. This is so emotional, reading to English translations with the clear and melody of her voice. I'd like to praise for her vocal and singing skills.
P/s I've never listen to Lovelyz's song except for Jin's Gone maybe I should try to check these girls out.

OMG... I'm a grown man in his 50's, but I'm not at all embarrassed to say that Kei's incredible singing voice often moves me to tears. She's so wonderful!
So, now that I've seen both performances more than once, I feel like I can give a fair and objective stance on this. First, I don't like Lovelyz to be honest- they seem like nice girls, but they've never clicked for me. I absolutely love Oh My Girl, and I've followed Seunghee's journey from back in her days when she auditioned for JYP. That being said: it is my honest opinion that this should have been the winning song last night. I think Seunghee did a FANTASTIC job, and I really enjoyed her rendition of Cheer Up. Her high notes were fierce and her energy was great. But the maturity of this song, the clear and even tone of the voice, and the soaring depths of emotion were just beautiful. I honestly think what it came down to at the end was that Seunghee sang a song that is INCREDIBLY POPULAR over there right now (I get that this song is well-loved, but Cheer Up is the fangirl/fanboy anthem at the moment). That, on top of the fact that Twice fans and Oh My Girl fans are freaking out and loving the fact that the two groups really enjoy each other's music made for a perfect storm of events. Let me be clear, I'm not saying I think that Seunghee isn't talented, nor do I think one singer (in this case Kei) is necessarily better than the other. But I do believe that if we're going by overall performance, regardless of my love for Seunghee and OMG, Kei's song should have won. That being said, the fans have spoken, and congratulations to Seunghee regardless. Kei will have another chance to show off her talents, and I hope that she will get a chance to have a well-deserved win. Love to both young ladies, they are each incredibly talented and unique in their own ways.

Kim kei performance was the best tonight for me, mesmerizing, beautiful, even the high note that can't b find in any lovelyz promoted songs proved that she can deliver such a high note n keep the haters' mouth shut up tight... despite of the difficulty level of the song, even some artist couldn't challenge themselves to cover it, she chose just for fight herself. how can she sang stable n beautiful at the same phase. tbh, i teared up a lil bit during her high notes n idk why her soft but sharp voice really hit my heart like a sharp nice. the feels tho its unexplainable just perfect! the audience is made up entirely of vocal students/music majors, they're not biased. They're judging entirely off of vocal technique and ability. The audience aren't part of any fandom.

You know, people who study music look and listen to things way differently than people like yourself. There isn't any "hidden agenda". Like, in all seriousness, what would the audience gain from voting in that manner? Especially as serious students of music? Besides, Wildflower is actually a more popular song than Cheer Up. As a person living in Korea, they would know this.
ari elle sure it's trending but that doesn't mean everyone in Korea listens to Twice or that it's more popular than Wildflower. More Koreans prefer listening to ballads and k-indie than k-pop. And serious music students could care less about whether a song is popular is not or whether the group the song is from are popular or not. The audience members were chosen because they were VOCAL students and know what to listen for. They gave Sungyeon the lowest score, for example, because she messed up badly towards the end of her song, that shows you that they do judge based on vocal technique and ability. Kei also made a few mistakes, despite what your ears may want you to believe, and that cost her a few points as well, but she still got 2nd place. And as a fan of both Lovelyz and Oh My Girl, I will not stand by and listen to people like you say that Seunghee doesn't deserve first place because of her song choice.
I heard this version first before the original singer performance. No matter how many time i watch her version, The way she sing this song so perfect and always make me feels like she sing her own song👑

This definitely deserved first place. I'm not familiar with Kei or Seunghee so I'm not biased, but I feel like Seunghee got first place bc the Korean public is biased towards Cheer Up in general. This is so beautiful. She sang low AND high notes. The song had a lot more range than Cheer Up and Seunghee did not even do Jihyo's high note. It's a shame really that this got second place, a bit infuriating actually.
Wild flower is a really popular song in Korea though. It charted on music charts for more than 2 years until recently. Cheer up may be a trend but I can say that this is one of the most popular songs in 2010s.
Although I preferred Kei's performance, I have to disagree about the audience being biased. The audience is composed mainly of female students that major in music. Those that study music tend to know more about singing than the average viewer. For example, at 3:47, when Kei switches notes, there is a slight imperfect sound there. It happens numerous times throughout the entire performance and I suspect it might be the reason she lost. In addition, Lovelyz is much more popular in Korea than Oh My Girl. Lovelyz's official fancafe membership is 49,197 and Oh My Girl's official fancafe membership is only 22,869. That means Seunghee's win was not just from fan votes. Finally, Park Hyo Shin's "Wildflower" was one of the most popular songs in Korea ever. Counting digital downloads/sales only (since physical sales only account for fandom strength), Twice's "Cheer Up" has 3,005,521 sales whereas "Wildflower" has 3,034,911. Twice's song popularity has nothing to do with why Seunghee won. There is no bias at all and nothing about her win was "rigged". Every single vote was fairly earned. If anything, maybe the audience voted too much for Seunghee since she performed near the beginning.

Yeah, of course Kei is not perfect, but can you seriously say Seunghee sang better? I watched Dawon and Yeonjung's performance as well and it was 1000 times better than Seunghee's.
