For any dedicated mandrillman fans in the comment section(incredibly nice guy btw) you might be happy to learn he qualified for his first pro tour very recently. He ended up going 8-8, but I'm sure you'll see him back soon
8-8 still pretty good. It can be tough to bat even .500 against some of these PT circuit guys, and good luck against most of the folks who have a top 8, you gunna need it.
So much to love about these videos, been hooked for many months now. Would love to see a bonus content going over why the cube is made up of the cards it is. Like I’ve been watching for awhile now and there are still some cards where I’m like, “why is this card in here?”. I know we get one or two of these golden nuggets every episode but I would love to have a breakdown.
I know there was at least one episode of Limited Resources where they broke down all the black cards in the cube, but I don't remember if they did any of the other colors.
He did a video in Feb where he talked about the top 50 cards in the cube and why they're good. Most of the cards outside of that are just mana acceleration, fixing, card draw, interaction, etc. you know the cards like ponder, llanowar elf, and bitter triumph that fill out the deck. Those cards, a lot of them are semi replaceable, but they're just the most efficient versions of those effects.
I’ll scan the LR playlist for that, thanks! Also, I did watch the top 50. Much of the cube is everything else like you described but I’m constantly picking up nuggets he drops throughout most episodes that weren’t in the top 50 vid.
Fun fact, iirc any one who 3-0s a draft gets to add a card to the cube. Dunno if both alphafrog and Luis sets of cubes are both doing this atm, but last I thought we heard about it Luis was doing it for his.
The extra damage that took you to 7 instead of 8 from the Gruff Triplet attack (around 30:00) was additional trample damage because the Nettlecyst lost an artifact when you sacrificed a treasure to give the Evolved Sleeper deathtouch.
is triplicate titan on its way out? It feels like a third-stringer in any deck that could want it. Like there's always going to be a better tinker, reanimate, sneak, show, or flash target, and it is too expensive to be cast the way some of the smaller ones can be
Any consideration for playing the watery grave over a swamp to make it a little easier to potentially activate Golos? It's already possible in a couple ways with this deck, but would be easier with another blue source.
Putting lands in his deck that come into play tapped (or cost life) some amount of the time is a pretty big cost for a Golos he's probably going to activate less than once a draft.
i get it you dont like reanimator, but if you took the cards it would have been great. but this deck was sick. the BK game was an instant vintage cube classic
Dunno it’s really accurate to say he doesn’t like reanimator. He’s just less high on it in certain formats. On standard MTGO leagues I’d think he’d repeat his statement from a couple months back that he still feels it’s the strongest archetype, and given the video history it looks mostly like he doesn’t like reanimator when he’s in a position where strong opponents know he’s on it and will cut him. Dunno about the stats between different formats but it could be the case that it’s easier to identify and cut off in these team 5s, have to ask him what the record keeping stuff they do says about the optimal circumstances to play reanimator in teams formats and how much the number of players and packs effects things.
I had 2 moxes, lotus, ancestral, and time walk in a storm deck and went 1-6 in games played because i just didn't get passed any win cons. It's a shame the cube moved away from stuff like that because the tilt of the situation was seething and i need that in my life sometimes.
@@johnnyk5 How is 3v3 better than 4v4? The wheels feel strange when there is 2 less players and you see less of the cube so some strategies dont work because 90 less cards are in the pool. Only benefit I see is its easier to organize 6 players but none of that benefits us watching the youtube video.
Luis, yesterday: “I never open power anyways.”
he was def being sarcastic lol
LSV, tomorrow: "I never open power, anyways."
@monorady
The play and education/instruction is great, but it’s the wit and humor that keep me coming back every day.
beat me to it 😂 @@MatthewForsytheHi
that short bonus game was low key pretty epic.
That was by far the coolest game
High key epic even. Big moves
Mack's deck with ZERO BASICS good lord 🤤

The reaction to each new piece of power was priceless. Definitely the pulls you want to see! Awesome draft!
I was beginning to miss the Supreme Vintage Cube drafts. Glad you uploaded another one.
"aand flip troll?"
Amazing video. Got my mood way up
That game vs BK was NUTS, you guys were just speedrunning an entire boxing match lol
The extra damage that took you to 7 instead of 8 from the Gruff Triplet attack (around 30:00) was additional trample damage because the Nettlecyst lost an artifact when you sacrificed a treasure to give the Evolved Sleeper deathtouch.
Ahh good call
The BK bonus game was Epic!
TH-cam knows me too well I watch these every day 😅
"for the love of the game. that's why we're cubin'."
You stomped everybody out but the colorless sources got you in the last game. A lot of fun to watch as always
Id love to see a video where you go through your personal card collection and show your favorites
Nothing is more fun than watching someone having fun.
I mean, 51:02 ❤
opens 4 pieces of power, goes into BR agro, who are you and what have you done with LSV
You will pick your moxes, and you will be happy
28:55 Apparently math really is for blockers.
Sandydog! Haven't seen him in drafts in a while
When LSV holds in the rage he turns into a 🍅
No one man should have all that power
With that many colorless sources, i might be more inclined to start batterskull over hymn
Now that's a video title!

It’s just ok at all of these but for now that’s enough - agree it’s not the first choice anywhere
The titles kill me, I love the titles.
I wish I could watch the Oath games :)
Get you a friend that plays against this deck with you for "fun" like BK did
I can't wait for all the next drafts punish him with no power
palpatine-pilled
Any consideration for playing the watery grave over a swamp to make it a little easier to potentially activate Golos? It's already possible in a couple ways with this deck, but would be easier with another blue source.
Taking two damage to play Watery Grave untapped is far more likely to cost a game than using it to activate Golos is to win a game.
Love this format
At 18:13 After reviewing teammates’ decks, I feel like LSV will need to go 3-0 two or three times in a row to carry. Let’s see how wrong I am 😂
I was surprised you ran Golos over batterskull. What was the reasoning there? It being so good with Karakas?
Sucks to never open power....
I wonder why LSV bags on Eureka so much but doesn’t just remove it from the cube
Nice one
"4 power wtf.dek" 🤣
This is gonna be a good one
We're gonna need a bigger thumbnail!
Mack didn’t even have a single basic that’s crazy
17:00 why not just run the off color black duals to enable Golos?
Putting lands in his deck that come into play tapped (or cost life) some amount of the time is a pretty big cost for a Golos he's probably going to activate less than once a draft.
Some pretty loose plays game 1, but the topdecks were stronger.
You did say yesterday that you’ll have a good draft today…
Yep, LSV confirmed psychic.

Is BK Brian Kibler?
Andrew Baeckstrom
@@Billyofcourse Ah. Thanks!
Golos > batterskull when you have double bob and a stoneforge? Skull hatin?
Did he not see the BoP in p1 pick 3?

Keeping Emberwild Captain in the deck after match 3 game 1 was pretty wild
+ for bonuse round
Love the 5v5. Between the 5v5 and 3v3, don’t see much purpose to the 4v4. Wouldn’t mind seeing some 8-man individual drafts
It’s easier to have 8 people available for a draft than 10
@@leanderthal1138that is true, but 6 is easier than 8 and 3v3 is a better version of 4v4.

Pretty sure what draft they run has more to do with who's ready to draft, than what makes ideal content for one of the people involved.
In no way is 3v3 better than 4v4. Are you stupid?
